Did I just stumble across the origin of the screaming goat?? You are too funny, Mike. Every single video you and your chat absolutely crack me up. I am so glad I came across your channel.
You said everything I came here to say! Been hauled up in my apartment with my German shepherd due to an ice storm. Because I've been happy laughing so hard and so much my girl hasn't been stir crazy. Thanks alot Mike!! Ifi never wanted to get married again I'd ask you to marry me 🤣🤣🤣
Mike says, Don't drink and drive, which is absolutely good advice. However, I tried that back when I did drink and it took *forever* to get anywhere. Drive two minutes, stop, take a drink, drive two minutes, stop, take a drink, drive two minutes, stop, take a drink. Also it seems to get the cars behind me all upset. They start yelling things like, Why do you keep stopping in the middle of the road! Me (yelling back): I'm not supposed to drink and drive!
Judge Manning is so impressive, and it’s clear that all the attorneys and her staff like working with her. Efficient and sharp, eagle-eyes with that huge bank of cameras, and able to slow it to explain things when necessary, switch up the sequence of hearings to make it efficient for the parties, admonish cops for zooming while driving, and still be incredibly friendly to the revolving door of attorneys entering and exiting the call.
The shame is her workload! When I first saw a snippet, I thought she was too fast, too flippant. Then I saw the scope of what she has to deal with! I fear that someday an attention seeking TV attorney will lambast her for granting bail (per guidelines and with due consideration) without relevant knowledge of Fulton county's woes.
@shotforshot5983 the days without indictment counts in thar area are obscene. I'm pro LEO/justice, but 1-2 year wait is nuts. Not Manning's fault, though.
1:25:11 a "boat in an over-crowded jail" is a plastic cot. It is shaped like a large rectangular tub and a small mattress is fitted within "the boat"-- to as where the cot can be place upon the ground when housing units become overcrowded. Love the show Mike.
OMG at 49:00, she says "sorry sir, you're on mute". You need to clip that, and use it every time you pause and don't unmute yourself! Judge Manning FTW!
In the first clip, I'm going to need for the accused to take a bath/shower. He is scratching way too much....either he needs a bath or he's on drugs and needs rehab 🤣
It’s just like when we aunts give our niblings the super-loud toys with unremoveable batteries, and our brothers/sisters just glare at us as we waltz out the door…
A few of these ppl had 42+ prior arrests!?! WHAT!! Then sitting in jail for more than 240+ days w/o indictment! wtf! Fulton Co. DA's office is absolutely broken! How does the DA still have her job?
1:25:05 a 'boat' is mentioned as a place to sleep in the jail. It's a plastic piece that looks like a large sled, which is used when capacity exceeds the number of beds. They are not comfortable in the slightest.
Build A Bear has the sound things that you can use your own voice to make the recording for the bear (or whatever animal). Sounds like we need a build a judge manning bear
I was shot in the head in 2012. I remember very little, but their investigation shows that I got up, ran inside to grab a bottle of whiskey, and "went for a run" ending up passed out in a drainage ditch. So I don't doubt in the least a man shot in the thigh would be up for a fist fight...lol.
Dang it Mike, you and I are the same age and here you are playing with the screaming goat. I would hope you would act our age...but I'm laughing at it....and now I want one 🤣
These guys have 9, 15, 23, 26, 41, 42 45 and 75 previous arrests and many convictions. They will repeat offend if they are able to make their bail. Their bail should be kept high enough to keep them incarcerated.
17:58 she keeps calling him the wrong name. She’s calling him Detective Powell, his name is Detective Rolling. She’s calling him by the defendants name! lol
I've been watching your videos out of chronological order. I didn't realize that it was an actual goat, not a digital soundbite. Do you know if Judge Manning has heard her official PreTrial scream? I think she'd get a kick out of it.
Thanks so much for the video! These have kept me entertained while I'm recovering from spine surgery. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next video's while recovering from my next surgery in a few days!
I am having spine surgery in a week, and this video is one of the ones that are acting as pain medication for my pre-op pain! They work great, although they are rather addicting, lol.
I just can't believe how long it takes to indict in Fulton County. What happened to a "swift and speedy trial"? This seems grossly unjust. Mike - is this true in other localities?
I saw a program on them. There a Huge Jail. Any Jail that is close to a city/ and surrounding area of More than 1million people. Their jails are like a small city. It takes a long time to get everyone through court. However with Video Court being a bigger thing, theyre getting through faster. But it's not uncommon to be in jail for 6-12mos in Big ones. Most people by the time court comes, they have served their sentence. Now I live in a County with about 150000 people. Half living in my City. The counties around me are all less than 100,000. So my City is the Biggest City in the top half of my State. We however don't have a big Jail. So most people spent up to 4 days, b4 there out, unless they really F'ed up. Most cases are done between 3-12mos. However a big case can take longer. We joke around here, we just catch and release the small one ,we only keep the big ones.
It's a tough balancing act. People get upset that it takes a long time to move a high volume through the process, but also get all upset if they release people pending trials and the re-offend in the mean time. Not enough judges in a high volume area is just hard to manage I'm sure.
Our jails and our court system are overrun with criminals. When there are that many crimes being committed, there are that many criminals to go with those crimes and when you still have the same small number of prosecutors in a district attorney's office, things are going to move slower. It's just a sign of how bad things are in America and Fulton County is well known for having a very, very high crime rate. That's why Judge Manning tells them to stay out of Fulton County except to come to their court appearances. She's doing what she can to keep them from coming back into Fulton County to commit more crimes. She's trying to lower the high crime rate going on in her county.
@@AuttumnDawnThere is a difference between waiting for trial, and waiting for your charges. They are basically arresting people for charges that they haven't even decided if they have enough proof for. It's absolute crap! I spent 60days in jail for a felony possession charge because I had a pill bottle with 3 meds in it, ALL MY MEDS, so sure, technically I should have been walking around with 3 prescription bottles in my pocket, but alas, they were mine, all they had to do was take a minute and verify, but no, they arrested me for possession. My probation officer had approved me to take these meds after a discussion with my doctor, yet she still violated me because of the arrest. Within 24hrs my attorney had submitted proof to the ADA, the officer, and to my PO that I had a valid RX, yet nothing happened, not till 45 days later when I went to court did they dismiss the charges, and two weeks later did they say, "Oh, I guess you didn't violate, we do have record that you are on these scripts, sorry bout that", and let me go. I lost my job, I lost my room I was renting and all my stuff, I got out and was HOMELESS!!! All because they drug their feet and didn't care. I have a friend that spent 300 days in jail, only for them to say, "Oh, sorry, we don't have enough evidence after all", dude missed the birth of his kids, and for what. This crap happens all the time. The courts drag their feet and don't care. Shoot, I was given my license back, 5 years later I get pulled over for a tail light, only to be told i was revoked for failure to complete alcohol classes, spent 3k on a lawyer, BECAUSE OF A PAPERWORK ERROR, DO YOU THINK THEY REINBURSED ME EVEN THO I DID NOTHING AT ALL WRONG??? HECK NO! I've seem legal systems all over the world, and we have one of if not the best, but it's still an absolute joke in many ways.
We were watching a show the other day and they mentioned Fulton County. I broke out with "Stay out of Fulton County! Do not get gas, do not go to Chick-fil-A" My husband is used to my random sayings 😂 I love her! And yes name the goat Manning because my actual goat is named Peyton after Peyton Manning so it fits. 🙂
Dude I laughed so hard when you asked about the defendant sleeping on a boat in jail. "Is this maritime court?!" Lmfao. Thanks again Mike! I so look forward to your videos. On a separate note, I noticed that the male PDs were dressed a bit casual. While it was and still is my intent to go to law school, I am not an attorney. I am a qualified representative representing claimants before Administrative Law Judges with the Social Security Administration and I would never appear at a hearing without a tie. I'm wondering if I'm just being neurotic or is that a reasonable position. Sometimes I wonder if I'm trying to compensate for my lack of a JD. That victim in the last case is from Long Island I'm willing to bet.
To me a person should always dress for the occasion. My question is why would anyone ask Mike for fashion advice?? We are talking about our Mike? The man who goes through his own closet looking for zip ups he can wear off the shoulder. 😭🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember there was a PD (out in CT) who used to wear cowboy boots. Come to think of it, there was a prosecutor who wore boots as well. That said, I once made the error of showing up in a chambers meeting w/out tie. The judge (gently) reprimanded me. I was a baby then …. fresh outta law school.
For pre trial hearings of all sorts, the officers are often on duty and reporting in from a car or local station to save government time now that they are using zoom. Some of these officers will be in swat gear, some patrol gear, and some in casual clothes if that is their uniform for the day. IE plain clothes officers will appear in hoodies, jeans, etc. This was often the case before but we never saw it because no one bothered to go to courts to witness a bond hearing, PC hearing, or any one of the up to 12 hearings there might be. For the actual trial with a jury they still dress up in a suit and tie or class A uniforms. You are not wrong to dress appropriately, you are just seeing the other side of law enforcement that only judges, defense attorneys, and prosecutors saw previously. This is basically the equivalent of defendants showing up in jumpsuits for these hearings when they would be allowed to dress in a suit for their actual trial.
@LawTalkWithMike I'm not sure whether its been addressed yet. But a boat in this sense is essentially a plastic cot used when jails dont have enough beds. Some people refer to it as a floor rider. It sits only a few inches from the ground. My guess is it's called a boat because on the top surface is not flat. Its slightly curved from end to end. Some are deep enough for a small person to fit in resembling a small boat or canoe.

Thank you Mike! Always fun. So, I couldn't take it anymore and had to look up how long they can keep them in jail without being indicted. They have 2 years on a misdemeanor and 4 years for felony 😳😳 That seems unreasonable but I'm not super familiar with the criminal system.
It varies by your financial status. The time limit is 3 days for a wealthy person, 7 days for middle class. Only poor people can be held without charges for any length of time. The real lesson of our legal system is don’t be poor.
@@ED-es2qv no... you are incorrect and probably need to get that huuugggeeee chip off your shoulders, actions have consequences don't do the crime if you can't do the time or pay the fine

The plastic cot that sits on the floor for your “mattress” in the pod when the beds or cells are full is called a “boat” as it resembles a plastic kayak
The boat is actually like a boat you sleep in at the jail.. it's like a cot but shaped like a kayak but open top and suits for handles around the side of it... it allows you to put the mat you sleep on .. in that so your "off the floor" and rats or water can't get to you...
I’ll tell you this from first hand experience @Law Talk With Mike, I’ve been shot in the tough and didn’t even know I was hit for a couple of minutes. I was trying to check everybody else out and didn’t realize I was the one that was shot, so I would believe someone could get in a physical altercation after being shot
1:14:20 - Seems like stretching in these booths is either required or a favorite past time for an inmate. Mike, you should make a video called: “The Best Ways to Stretch in Your Booth”, brought to you by “Screaming Goat Health Services”. Bring out new videos monthly, part 2, 3… as many as you can. “101 Ways to Stretch In Zoom Booth Court”; there are limitless opportunities for you. 😂🤣

"What makes you think the shell casing are related to the case?" I don't know, in the US, it is not uncommon to come across shell casings, especially in some neighborhoods. I've run across several shell casings in my days.
There is a channel I sometimes watch, Just Rolled In, where auto mechanics share crazy things they see. It is alarming how many people come in with bullet holes that they didn't even know were there, or sunroofs that are jammed by a shell casing in the track. That's just part of living in a country drowning in guns. You want a country full of guns, that's going to happen.
I just met the "Screaming Goat." Didn't know anything about him before. Really don't know why he was in the movie, but the movie was "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." It was funny for no reason there too 😂
Thanks I was just thinking about poor Janelle and His Honor Judge Simpson. I must has missed the resolution somehow. I need some holiday resolution on that case too.
I always have found the whole swearing in thing completely silly, like it's really going to stop someone from lying. I feel the same way about signing a speeding ticket, like your just agreeing that you're going to take care of it, but like anyone is later thinking, oh I'm going to skip traffic court - no crap I signed that ticket agreeing to take care of it!! Some states no longer make you sign, which is probably the way to go. Although those videos of people refusing to sign soon after getting arrested and crying that they'll sign it now are hilarious.
I had a boat when I was locked up for 6 days. County jail was overcrowded. 3 per cell and only 2 beds. So they give you a plastic boat with a mat to sleep on the floor. It’s miserable cause your head or feet are almost touching the toilet where 2 other grown men have to poop and pee. Just awful. I was dopesick too

@@ED-es2qv maybe the lesson should be don’t commit crimes?🤷🏻♀️
@@ED-es2qv no... you are incorrect and probably need to get that huuugggeeee chip off your shoulders, actions have consequences don't do the crime if you can't do the time or pay the fine
@Nysha Blue correct, but they didn't end up in jail because they were in church for choir practice
@@bytchesagainstbullshyt3696 after watching audit the audit I can see the US has a high number of dirty cops who don’t seem to understand your laws very well. I am inclined to believe that people could be arrested for many other reasons other then committing a crime. For example, the officer is a douche bag with an ego and violent tendencies that lie about the circumstances of arrest.
Exactly, it's basically a sleigh to put a "mattress" in so they can say ppl aren't literally sleeping on the floor, even though they are
I'll make an attempt at a screaming goat for you Mike - hands playing up so may take a minute 😆
So that attorney has went to law skool?
I’ll tell you this from first hand experience @Law Talk With Mike, I’ve been shot in the tough and didn’t even know I was hit for a couple of minutes. I was trying to check everybody else out and didn’t realize I was the one that was shot, so I would believe someone could get in a physical altercation after being shot
1:14:20 - Seems like stretching in these booths is either required or a favorite past time for an inmate. Mike, you should make a video called: “The Best Ways to Stretch in Your Booth”, brought to you by “Screaming Goat Health Services”. Hey you never know, this could be your retirement moment right there. Bring out new videos monthly, part 2, 3… as many as you can. “101 Ways to Stretch In Zoom Booth Court”; there are limitless opportunities for you. 😂🤣
Oh geeze.. I thought you meant a defendant was the one that sounded like they were on Xanax, not the judge 😂
I would think that there has already been enough evidence presented for a preliminary to determine if the case should go forward! Sounds like the defense is already defending the case in total
24:00 Chatham County Superior Court! That's where I work (well, I'm in State Court) but I'm totally hopping in ODY and looking him up now.
"Let me ask you"....over and over
Things are bad when you are talking about how nice Seguin, TX is.
I got this fear of accidentally taking something out of the store & not paying for it. Almost happened once, a mio fell behind tp I scanned with the remote scanner, almost walked out the store b4 I realized and dashed back to the register.
Shout out from Gonzales Texas
I just met the "Screaming Goat." Didn't know anything about him before. Really don't know why he was in the movie, but the movie was "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." It was funny for no reason there too 😂
He showed his stuff to a guard. It’s called RECKLESS EYEBALLING- when a prisoner looks at a female guard while he’s “ brushing his hair”
So this is the origin of the screaming goat 😂
A boat is like a plastic cot used for over crowding. They resemble a boat
Coming to you from California late for the live as usual. Ga. Strong
OMG... The defense attourney & Det. Rolling look like twins!!!
Sleeping on a bunk, not boat. lol
Feinting Goats Screaming “Pre Trial” would be cool.
"She looks like she fell into a vat of Xanax..." 😂
Love that Georgia coffee! GO DAWGS!!! ATD! (Are we sure that wasn't a gift from Judge Manning??)
Yes😂
Take screaming GOAT to see little Mikey 😆😁
Thanks I was just thinking about poor Janelle and His Honor Judge Simpson. I must has missed the resolution somehow.
I need some holiday resolution on that case too.
Love the goat 🐐 Mike
That goat scream sounds like the guy getting tazed I use for a ringtone.
I know, and the signing stuff is a weird ritual too, if you think about it.
Just awful. I was dopesick too
Don't go to jail! You could be breaking rocks.
You needed to play Judge Manning after the first Comatose Judge so we could all wake up again. If that first Judge is Xanax, then Manning is Meth 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How do these people have SO many prior arrests and still able to get out
The Cookie Monster must have his cookies, and The Count must have something to count ha ha ha ha haaaaa.
The first dude puts his arms inside his shirt like an eight year old boy 😂
Makes a murder trial seem super informal when it's via zoom and the detectives wear a Hoodie while giving sworn testimony in their patrol car
This is not the trial. It’s pre-trial or arraignment or something. This phase is very relaxed.
A Pre-trial should Not be done over Zoom on a Murder Case ... Ever
Mike this defense attorney is a BEAST
I’ve been out of town for 3 days!! I have to catch up
Have to stay away from a dollar store? I'm a crafter, I'd probably prefer jail in lieu, as long as I could take my glue gun and glitter!
This Judge must be a real hell raiser at Christmas parties.
So funny..at 1:49:00, I said "oh, she has a Boston accent", and then u said it a few seconds later (or u made a good guess lol). (I only know because I've lived in MA my whole life)
The GOAT is so hilarious 😂😂
I love the goat Mike, but if you could be a little more selective when you break him out that would be great 😃
Did you see the emergency bond hearing before Judge Middleton today?
I did, it was way more interesting than anything on tonight's stream.
I've seen a lot of defense attorneys have their audio cut out. I wonder if they say that to break up the narrative of a really good opposing witness.
Love the sweatshirt!!!!
Hey Mike, would you please post the link to the "um huh" defendant so I can watch the whole thing?. You reference it on nearly every video but I don't ever remember seeing it in full.
I can’t remember which video it is🤷♂️
Wild Court Moments #142 Enjoy! 💗 She's a charming woman 😂
I always wanted to see what would happen if someone refused to be sworn in or to tell the truth.
