Heads-up for anybody wondering how to get your games into the format shown in the video here. If you downloaded your game in the .iso format you can simply extract the contents of the iso using software like winrar and the game files will look just like the format shown in the video here. Just thought I would share as I was a bit confused with this part. Happy hacking!

You can actually just press triangle on the usb game and select copy, and select to copy to the hdd

Hey dude can I ask some question? Im very excite I download NFS Hot pursuit and the game was 7.25gb if I'm not mistaken. I install it using my 16gb fat32 USB drive when I play it, it loads but a black screen appears and no EA logo shown I don't know if my doing is wrong but I didn't not copy the game to PS3 HDD GAMES using multiman.
@@yurisantos8730i think you should coly the game over from the usb to the hdd, once it copies over it should tell you if there's something wrong with the file if there is any issue, try downloading the game from somewhere else

The trick is to format in fat32 and put the game in the folder GAMES in usb then in ps3 you refresh.

I did everything according to your guide, but after selecting the game in the multimenu and moving me to the main screen, the game is not displayed as a disc, I have no disk to choose from, the game is displayed in the multiman.

FAT32 format flash drives won't let you download files bigger than 4gb.
The title says ps3 iso i didn't see any image file being used, i want to know how to name the iso and load it from my flash drive

Confused FAT32 only supports files of up to 4GB in size but on your USB hard drive shows a GAME over 4GB Please explain how this is possible ??

The game has multiple files that total 6 gb...not one file isarger than 4 gb in that game.
Unfortunately this says nothing about what to do with an iso backup of a game as the title states

This isn't an ISO game and this isn't an ISO tutorial, the game was in folder format and you don't paste ISO games in the GAMES folder you paste them into PS3ISO, please correct your entire video because it is raw clickbait 🤦

Yep, plus many games in ISO format will NOT accept being placed on a FAT32 formatted hard drive. He clearly says fat32 at 1:27.

How are you adding a file slightly larger than 6Gb to a fat32 drive?
there are ways to do that, u can change the dowload path while downloading the game from the browser, so that those files will be dowloaded in the pendrive itself.

How do you decrypt the iso? I did all this and get operation failed when trying to load game due to it being encrypted
Did you figure it out? I found a method but I don’t know if it works yet. I’m about to find out in a few hours. Apparently you need a program called ps3-disc-dumper.exe to decrypt the game. It searches the internet for the unlock key (dkey) and then creates a new playable folder for you to paste into the GAMES folder as shown in the video. Right now I’m copying over a bunch of folders I downloaded but I still don’t know if it works yet.

awesome tutorial!!!!!!! i didnt rly like the filezilla transfer speeds (it was kind of slow on my internet i was using mobile hotpsot bcz my wifi sucks) but this is so much better! now it takes usually 4-20 min for my games to transfer now thanks for the tutorial!
You can actually use winscp no internet required just a lan cable connected to your PC and to your USB PS3 doesn't need to be connected to Internet as well.
BUT how do u install game patches and fixes? where should i put them in what directory?

When i try to load my game it takes me to the original dashboard where we first started and doesnt show up(BO2), it will show up in multiman but not the first dashboard, please help

Enter a real ps3 disc into your system. It should then show the iso game you loaded

Bro, this video doesn't show any ISO format game. I think you used the word ISO the same way as you use the term backup game, which is not the same thing. A back up game could either be ISO, PKG, or game folder format. What you have here is a game folder format, and I'm specifically looking for how to install an ISO format game.

If anyone finds this video in the future,if you can't put the game iso on the fat32 usb it's because it's larger than 6gb and fat32 doesn't support that. Just extract the game files from the iso to a new folder and put it on the usb

@@aizuddinazmi7839 For me it worked by just double clicking on the iso file,but WinZip,PowerISO or WinRAR should be good options too. I think you can right click on the iso file and then click "Open with (the program you chose)"
How do I extrat a ps3 rom, it wont let me, Ive extrated gamecube and wii roms before even one ps2 game but none of the programs work on Sonic 06 from vims lair.

Can anyone help me my game is in the right place inside the GAMES/GAMEZ folder it have 3 files one for update one is game and one is disk but when I start the game it doesn't recognize the ps3_update folder therefore I'm unable to play that game

FAT32 doesn’t let you go above 4GB.
Does it need to rename the game to its serial number (like this one 01:40) or anything will do?

Is it safe to be online and update games on a PS3 with custom firmware. My PS3 is running Overflow 4.82 v4 CobraCEX.

I'm gonna ask a slightly different question. I have loads of DVDs that for various reasons need to be kept as ISOs, not converted to some video format. I intend to burn them to BD50 discs for longevity and storage (I don't want 400 GB lying around on a hard drive).
The problem is, so far the only way to play them is either via PC and VLC, or by inserting them to my hacked PS3 and copy them to the internal hard drive, and then you can mount them. But this is a very slow process since the PS3 only has a 2x BD drive. It also requires you to have space for anything you might want to watch at the moment.
Is there no way to mount a DVD ISO directly from a burned data disc? Multiman and Webman don't seem to have any checkbox for scanning the BD drive, only USB and HDD. It would be extremely practical for me and for anybody who uses a BD burner. You can fit 3-5 DVDs on a single layer BD, and as for games it depends on how large they are but imagine ten small games placed as ISO on a single disc.

These tutorials are really useful, I still have a functioning PS3 super slim but I'm thinking ahead when the parts start to fail and what if the laser unit is irreplaceable as the units are model specific. I'd be happy to jailbreak it just to run isos from Ps2 and 3 as these are hard to emulate yet.
i also have a fully functional super slim but i've installed HEN anyways i have so many games installed. PS2 as well as PS3 games.

@@taskforcekillah9722 there is the latest version (4.89) of HFW (HEN) you can install this one instead i remember the entire process but me trying to explain it here i will most likely end up making mistakes so i advice you to search on youtube about a channel called mr mario he's making videos about modded ps3 (how to mod them how to install games and all that). In his channel you'll find a video about installing version 4.89 although that video is an old one about version 4.88 he just changed the title cause it's the same thing, i'm just informing you just so you wont be confused about the title saying 4.89 but in the video you'll see him installing 4.88. Modding the console is very easy in fact it wont take for more than an hours or two to download the files and install them. All you need is a pc a usb drive and having internet connection to the console. After you done with modding the console if you want you can ask me about installing games and how to actually play them(if you can't figure it out), it ain't hard to do, there are just some things to do just once but for someone new it could be confusing so feel free to ask me if you want.

you have to mention that the file in the usb should be properly named GAMES and the folder should have correct name in UPPER CASE(for example i had my game file named dark_souls i downloaded and inside it was the proper named folders in upper cases and i simply had to remove that lower case folder and it worked ) this is for it to show on mutliman this is the only issue i faced everything else is right to the point thanks again i subbed
How do you put the game in the USB stick if it's larger than 4 GB?
You zip the file to compress it to 4 gb or less then you unzip it using multiman.
What is a ps free?
Its not showing up on my ps3
My game was in an extra folder that had the game name on it... inside that folder was the actual game without the name on it... I just copied that one to my hdd and it worked. Don't know if that's your scenario but thought I would mention this incase it helps anybody.

What I just did was to copy my game to the GAME folder and then double click the EBOOT.bin option (this will send you back to your home screen don't panic) Then I would click on the disc icon and my game would play. Hope I helped
