If you tried installing the package file and it said "No package file found"; 1. Enable hen b4 installation 2. Make sure the multiman is the only file on your USB 3. When you get to "📂Standard(in the install package file 📂) " press triangle and then X to install all packages. Don't forget to like if my comment was helpful. (Edit: press triangle before you click on 📂standard, don't click on standard at all just press triangle when you get to it.)
question: what would i do in the case that ¨standard¨ does not show up while im in the install package folder? its there when i go to the uninstall package folder, but here its just the circle with arrows spinning endlessly
@@jimmneedle not yet, i’m afraid. i unplugged the console for the night shortly after and haven’t turned it back on since. i would definitely like to come back to it though. if i find any solutions later down the road i’ll make sure to tell you.

Great vid fella. 😉👍 I still use my PS3 waaaay more than the PS4. Brilliant machine when JB. The only thing I'm focusing on now however, for both the PS3 and PS4, is the Kernal Clock fix. This should now be our focus going forward because Sony clearly don't have a clue or care how to fix it. 😒
by kernel clock do you mean the cbomb issue? MVG said they've fixed it on the PS4, thought the PS3 still faces this issue. Best you can do is a small mod to use larger or multiple cmos batteries. Otherwise, use CFW etc.

This requires some custom firmware to the PS3 in order to install packages. A link in your video description to something that shows how to do that pre-requisite would be awesome!

Blaine are you feeling okay man. I couldn't help but notice that you missed a few major things: 1. You can run PS3, PS1, and PSP from USB. PS2 is the only one that needs to copy on to hard drive. 2. The ISO's you copy on to USB can show up on Multiman right away if you create PSXISO, PSPISO, and PS2ISO on the root of your flash drive and place the ISO's in their corresponding folders. 3. When playing PSP games, make sure you have the PSP Launcher.pkg and install it or you will be unable to play your PSP games. Were you under some kind of pressure to put the video out today? You're usually so on the ball. Take care my friend.

When I transferred my ps2 games from my USB drive to File Manager in multiMAN, they did not work, and I got a message saying "Unsupported Data" and "this model of the PS3 system is not compatible with palystation2 format software. Can a jailbroken ps3 super slim play ps2 and ps1 game files via pre ripping the iso's on a computer and then copying them over via a usb drive? My PS3 super slim with HEN and multiman so far doesnt want to see or register any disc other than a ps3 disc. So im just trying to figure out if multi man could enable those isos to play on a super slim via emulation or not! Just thought I would ask someone as knowledgeable as yourself! Your videos are awesome and simply to follow. I have two questions. Does this work on all ps3 models? Are all Ps2, Ps1, and PSP compatible or is there a compatibility issue and or a compatibility list?
1. Yes this works on all hacked PS3'S and every model is hackable. 2. PS1 100% compatible PS2 about 75 to 80% compatible PSP about 50% compatible You'll have to Google compatibility lists. Also for some PS2 games, I would try finding some of the PS3's HD ports for those that don't work.

Hello Blaine! I bumped onto your videos searching for a solution for my problems so I hope that u can help me solve it. I asked one guy If there is a way to "put some games" into my PS3 Slim and he said yes...so I said ok and he put HEN and Multiman on it...and only after he did all "jailbreak" or what is it called he told me that there might be some problems but...there are many problems. First - in 10 startings of Multiman at least 6 times I need to restart. Second - I can't restart by pressing button on a controller or pressing on/off switch yet I need to plug out the power cable ( for what he told me I would have to do "but not so often") and after I wait for PS3 to check for errors because it wasn't turned off properly...Wham!!! Most of the games won't load or I need to do an update (which is ok) but sometimes even after the update I can't play them. So... 1. Is this the way those programs work or it's just a bad installation of them? 2. Can I fix that without reinstalling ( like some software repair or something) or I need to do a full and complete reinstallation of PS3 software and HEN and Multiman? 3. Can I do that myself ? ( I ask this because I saw your videos where u are giving very detailed tutorials and guidance which explain everything u need to download and do so a small kid can do that) 4. Can you point me on a video tutorial where I can begin from scratch and make my PS3 work again? 5. Again any help is greatly appreciated on an older video such as this! Haha
PS2 games will only work on backwards compatible PS3 models, specifically CECHA, CECHB, CECHC and CECHE (all are phat). Check your model number, which appears on a sticker on the back of the unit. You can also partially identify them by looking at the number of USB ports on the front - all backwards compatible models have 4 USB ports instead of the usual 2 but unfortunately it doesn't go the other way (i.e. there are models with 4 ports that are not BC). If your model is not BC then it will not run PS2 games, neither from ISO nor from physical media. The only officially supported method of running PS2 games on non-BC models is the PS2 Classics games available on the PS3 store, however since you're using a jailbroken unit, it's possible to repack a PS2 game into the format used by the PS2 Classics emulator. Note though that the emulator has never been tested on games not on the PS3 store, so your mileage may vary. Some games work nearly perfectly, others will have issues or won't work at all.
Both, since the repacking is done on a computer, but like I said, your mileage may vary since the emulator was only designed and tested with those games sold on the store.
Hopefully I figured out my issue. I heard you mention fat32 usb drive. The drive I was using must not of been a fat32. I see there are videos on youtube on how to format one. I just ordered one off of Amazon that I guess comes formatted.
Hey dude! Are you able to run the ps1/2 disks straight out of the console instead of downloading it to the console itself? Also what happenes if a ps2 game errors in the beginning of the the download process?
Just an observation in logic but I have yet to try it. Remember some PS2 discs that had the blue surfaces and were Compact Disc format and not DVD/ISO? Would these games need to be dumped in the Bin/ Cue format in ImageBurn as well?
You can use ISO's, but your flashdrive or hard drive has to be formated in FAT32. Make sure you put them in the correct folders: PS3ISO - PS3 games in ISO format GAMES - PS3 games in folder format PS2ISO - PS2 games in ISO format (doesn't work on HEN) PSXISO - PS1 games in bin/cue format PSPISO - PSP games in ISO and CSO formats (don't forget to install PSP launcher).
Kinda misleading that you Put a ps3 slim in the Thumbnail but playing ps2 Games and creating their ISO files only works on backwards compatible ps3. Such a headache
Is it normal for some games to only load in low definition? I loaded a few games onto my external HD and some of them boot up properly, but for some reason some games seem to default back to low resolution.
This worked beautifully but tried to copy the orange box from BR to HDD which seems to be successful but when I try and launch the ISO it just kicks me back in to the normal XMB. How do I get the game to launch please?

Note to all: Multiman will not play PS2 ISOs on HEN PS3'S. They must be converted into PKG files and installed on the hard drive.

Yeah that's a big mystery for me I see lots of people put PKG games on RUclips and stuff but I never figured out how to create them

There does. The compatibility is also pretty rough. I installed it for Crisis Core though.
@@ragequit7151 that game probably works the best on here. I converted it into a PSP remaster.pkg and installed it on my PS3. It's seamless.

I don't believe you covered this in your video, but which version of PSP Launcher should we download for Hen?

I think because the ps2 disk is using the same file system as the ps1 I'd be inclined to believe so please let us know what happened

Kinda misleading that you Put a ps3 slim in the Thumbnail but playing ps2 Games and creating their ISO files only works on backwards compatible ps3.

Ok im not an expert but can i proceed installing multiman if my ps3 hasn't jailbroken yet?or i should jailbreak it 1st before installing multiman?

Is it normal for some games to only load in low definition? I loaded a few games onto my external HD and some of them boot up properly, but for some reason some games seem to default back to low resolution.

Yes it works for all models and you don't need that much storage space just depends on the game size
