The triple crown of motorsport should not include the Monaco GP. The race follows the standard mantra of all racing drivers. 1 win the pole, 2 win the first corner, 3 open a five-second gap and maintain that gap throughout the race. The only place to pass at Monaco is the exit of the tunnel. There may be aberrations when drivers in front make a mistake, but not a consistent passing place. The tunnel is the only realistic place, as shown year after year. The real triple crown for a team is, winning the F1 championship, winning the Indy 500 and the LeMans 24 hours. The reason that Monaco is still on the calendar is that it's known as the sponsor's race. They can wine and dinner with their clients very lavishly.
Why it's on the calendar is it's extremely tough to win as it is very easy to make a small mistake and be in the wall. I understand it's decided pretty much after the first corner but that doesn't take away from how hard it is to win 👍
If McLaren can do a whole season at this level of performance relative to the other front runners they could win a title. Piastri and Norris are learning so much and the longer they’re at the front, the better they’ll get!

Of course this season has been a big step back but I think it's fair to say when you look at podiums since 2016/17/18 it's been a massive improvement. But obviously this season is different, and this video was made before the season started 👍
@@TheMotorMouthPodcast I gave finishing positions from 2017-2022. Only one of the 6 years has been an improvement over 2016 when he was appointed (and even that was just one place). How on earth can you claim that it's a 'massive improvement', even ignoring the calamity that is 2023? It just isn't.

No need to display Alonso when speaking of McLaren before (boring, bad etc.). He wasnt the person to blame.
He was't, but sure as hell he made things worse, he did the exact same thing to Alpine last year, while he was in a much better situation.
But he was certainly the one that showed McLarens struggle visually hahaha
It's pretty obvious how he did.
With his band, The Zak Brown Band.
Hahaha wrong Zak!

McLaren have already the triple crown of Teams: 1974→Indy 500 Win / 1984→Monaco Win / 1995→24 Hours Of Le Mans Win
But with different bosses across all departments, Zak wants to be the first boss to win all three himself 👍

Not sure if his net worth is true cause he owns McLaren F1 and F1 GTR. Both valuations are easily 40M .
