If you want the wire to be easier to paint, maybe use some sandpaper to roughen up that smooth and shiny surface of the wire before assembling. I think that will help with giving the paint more surface to cling onto.
This is such a simple and easy way to make some wonderful looking vines. Definitely going to be using this method (especially since I already have all the materials you showed in the video)
Have you tried the dangling plastic vines that come with "floating rocks" from aquarium/pet supply stores? They cost almost nothing, have different lengths all in one package, and make amazing terrain base plants or climbing vines for a larger terrain piece :-) I buy them in bulk whenever I see them in my local pet supply stores, and use them on many different projects. Most of them don't even need painting, and look awesome when the model is finished. I LOVE your videos, and have been trying your techniques for myself, with varied results, I have to admit, as I'm still learning new things after over 50 years in the hobby :-) I recently learned to make trees from grape vines and flock, which was a true mess when I first tried it, but I'm now much better at it, and having fun making more for others :-)
Yeah, i have seen them, and they look good. But this vas just a test to see if i could make my own. And i think i have some laying around that i will use in a ruin build combined with my own👍

You are totally right! :-) I actually did that in another project where i used some sand paper to rub it. i never put that on video though :-)
