This spruce is perfect for dioramas for architectural layouts, dollhouse. For the product you will need sushi sticks, stain, wire, PVA glue, flock 12mm 6mm, flock, foam rubber, acrylic paint. The most important part of this video is when they showed how to make different grades of flocking! I'll never buy flocking again! 🤯🤯🤯

    This was an amazing tutorial, though I do have one question.
    What would be the best way to better seal the branches, to protect them from handling? I was thinking of adapting this method to build wargaming terrain and scenery, but this looks quite fragile. Would watered down PVA glue mix work?

    • @art37
      @art37  2 года назад +4

      I used waterproof PVA glue and did not dilute it with water. Sticks very firmly. I even vacuumed and the tree survived.

      I'm guessing he used polyurethane foam shredded to bits and then granulated in a coffee grinder. The foam is commonly used in furniture cushions and pillows. It can be purchased in fabric stores that sell upholstery fabric.

    Hi, amazing work! I was wondering, can a tree like this be used for snow globes? Are little particles attached properly to the tree, or it would fly around in the snow globe?

    • @louel9272
      @louel9272 10 месяцев назад

      The "leaves" are just held by glue so some might detach inside a snow globe. Because those trees are usually just for scenery in modelling like railways, so once the trees are glued into place they don't get moved anymore. But a snow globe always gets shaken so some of those foliage will surely fall off.

    So what scale would you say this tree represents? I think you’ve done a great job on it but as stated before more information is needed and maybe a better closeup photo(s) would help during the process especially after the static grass was applied.Again I think you’ve done a fantastic job.

    Looks really realistic nice job. Since I saw you had wet foam I would have just used the Dry & Wet Green Floral Foam. It comes in lots of shade of green already and it turns to powder as soon as one squeezes too much. I think that would save a few steps in the process as well as time.
