What category would it be under? It wouldn't be the fastest on the EV cat, since the Aspark beats it.
It's not on sale yet/hasn't been tested yet. There are three ~2,000 hp EV hypercars that will be able to do 0-60 in < 2 sec, but not on sale yet: Rimac, Battista, Evija.
Rimac Nevera isn’t public yet
The Chiron Pur Sport doesn’t have 1600hp (8:05), it has 1500. The reason for the faster acceleration is the shorter gear ratios. Only the Centodieci and the Super Sport 300+ have the 100hp upgrade compared to the Chiron.

In the 911 Turbo S vs Taycan Turbo S drag race, he said that both cars did 0-60 in 2.4 seconds. Porsches are quick as hell.
I don't understand why they still use the fake paper times and don't use their own results..??? The Tesla takes 0-60 -> 2,8s and the Porsche does it in 2,55 over and over again

not in production, and Pininfarina Battista is as fast as Rimac as its basically same car.
Gemera will never see a drag strip, koenigsegg forbids owners to do that
@Achim Anscheidt nah it's actually written in the contract that koenigsegg owners cant do Drag races and record them without the consent of Koenigsegg. It's widely known that koenigsegg cars underperform heavily in the real world (wheel spin, no traction, malfunctions, etc).

I just watched a Throttle House Video where the Urus loose against a Jeep and a Hellcat SUVs... in a drag race
Im confused why the urus is even number 1, he just did a race with the x6m and it beat it from the start twice and was almost dead even in the roll when they got it right, the urus 0 to 60 is 3.6 seconds but carwow has recorded the x6m to 60 in 3.4. the 1/4 time from different owners and races, Urus fastest 1/4 time i can get from all these other sources does it in 11.6 seconds while the fastest 1/4 time from the x6m stock is 11.4. Urus is faster in speed and x6m is quickest to 60 and 1/4.
@@aidenp5768 I think he's going of manufacturer claims, his results would differ from the performance in a different environment obviously and when testing 0-60 cars are usually put in perfect environments using racing fuel ect, but they always squeeze the most out of it despite it's unrealistic conditions
Hi Mat for the suv segment check dodge Durango hellcat and the track hawk jeep....they are quicker than the urus from a standstill.
This video makes the death of the combustion engine a little less upsetting.

Quick point, 4wd is different than awd
We know, we're not going to assume a small hatchback or a sedan has the same drivetrain as SUV or off-road vehicle just because someone said "oh, this sedan has interchangeable 4wd". Some people likes to call awd as 4wd such as Japan and UK.
like you can have a 8 wheeled airport fire truck but only 4 wheels are driven AWD is when all 8 wheels drive the vehicle

@Do One There are many videos on RUclips with the current Model S doing 2.3 in the 60. The Plaid has 300ish more horsepower. Do the math bud. I have no doubt it will at the very least do the 60 in 2.1 with that extra 300hp. 1.9? I wouldn't doubt that either. Why would you? I can't think of a time Tesla wrongly published incorrect performance numbers so there's no precedent for that. They published 2.5 for the S and many people did that. Then 2.3 and they verified that as well. Watch Brooks from Dragtimes, he's done it many times.
Of course like everything, the conditions needs to be right but don't downplay it like they're not fast in 0-60. Everyone knows they're fast in the 60.
@@ronin7645 2.3 sec to 60mph, so about 2.5 sec to 62mph. I dont think they can get 0.4 seconds off the 0-62 mph time. Also that 2.3 sec to 60mph wad done on a drag strip. Did tesla say the plaid plus will do 1.9 sec to 60mph on a drag strip or on a normal asphalt?.
I remember the Aspark Owl being tested years ago. I didn't know it was so insanely fast, looks amazing and expensive! Such a cool car.
I love the roadster but the look of the owl is damn good. But i dont wanna pay and extra 1.8 mill$ for thatt. I could get a 200k$ tesla roadster 2.0 with .2 secs slower but still gettig that tesla is like a dream that might come true but getting that owl means i gotta be a millionaire so no
@@surfalcatraz9770 don't get your hopes up, 200k is a lot of money and all of teslas cars apart from the model 3 are class 50 vehicles meaning very expensive insurance, and the roadster hasn't been seen much so I'm presuming delays

It would be interesting to know for how many consective launches the Teslas will maintain their 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph). It would also be interesting to know whether they can also maintain their performance on a track for a good number of laps. Now that's a couple of tests CARWOW could do...
Technically the answer is 1... To reach the 1.9 second speed the Tesla has to enter its cheetah stance. The Tesla lowers the front so the weight shifts correctly when it takes off.
Also because of heat management the slower Porsche electric would win on the track. It would lose a drag race to a Tesla but over a prolonged race the Porsche can maintain higher performance for a longer amount of time.

As much as I like speed, you would never need this much power of the roads. 500-600hp is the sweet spot where all the power is usable and the car can be pushed to the limits. Looks like I’m sticking with my 911 GT3 thanks.
What limits ? Top speed ? Accelaration ? You cannot push any of those on a 500-600hp car without doing crazy speeds. If you are willing to do them, you can also do it in a 1000hp car.

The quickest car I've owned was my '17 Focus ST. It was a challenge to launch but once it hooked up, that torque just pulled like crazy.

The X6M is quicker than the Urus, but BMW always publish their 0-60 times as slower than they really are.

2.2 was on dragstrip and Not to 62 but to 60mph, for comparison the sf90 did 2.1 from 0-60mph
