@@toninocars The GR Yaris is a great car and captures some of the spirit, but unfortunately it's nowhere near as raw or powerful as the old Evos. All models were just a small mod away from 400hp plus.

The VW dont have a V6, they have aVR6. This is a big different. Only the germans built this anwesome Engine. And its Sounds much better than a V6 Engine😌

You mean *Evo* Mitsu also made an Evo 10 FQ-400 limited to 35 units and the FQ-440 MR limited to 40 units and the name suggest their hp and Subaru had their wrx sti cosworth cs400.
This is exactly why I bought my manual M140i as could see that big engined cars were disappearing, especially the manual ones. Absolutely love it, the sound of the straight six, rear wheel drive and the manual box all make for a great driving experience.
Can’t agree more. I have an f20 m135i and the sound and power for the money just can’t be beaten. I’d say it’s a future classic but with the inevitable ban on any petrol cars (new and 2nd hand eventually) I’d savour it while you still can.

7:40 the Evo 8 ended production in 2004/2005 evo 9 was from 2005 until 2008. so the FQ400 evo 8 was 2004 or 2005. The evo 9 was only made up to FQ360 trim.
I remember when we’d all turn our noses up at the auto versions of the performance cars we owned (Supra, anyone?) because they were so much slower to accelerate than a skilled driver operating the clutch and gearbox. Now, try to keep up with a Porsche PDK transmission in a manual version of the same car: good luck!
2005 m5 was absolutely amazing just a shame that there’s stupid high running costs, saddens me that there’s loads of hybrid and electric cars coming about and all these regulations are ruining the potential to actually have some good cars on the road

I love the MK4 Golfs. Even today think they still look good. Kind of a timeless design. I’d give anything for an R32. But unfortunately just isn’t practical. Prices are definitely on the Up and definitely not a practical car to run on the daily

They’re still around, just not in supercars, which is just as well because supercars are getting too fast to enjoy a manual in. Shift sticks are in hot hatches now, which in my opinion, is the ideal car for a manual because they’re not as fast. so weeping goodbye to manual supercars may not be such a bad thing...
The people that buy supercars now though aren't the same, people just want to be seen in them to say they have a supercar, not sure actual driving is really top of their list of priorities.

Some brands still have manual supercars: *Noble (idk the name)* *Porsche (GT3)* *Chevrolet (corvette)* actually the newest one probably not anymore, but the last one still did *Lotus (Evora)* *Honda (civic)* not sure if this counts, maybe it's a hypercar *Aston Martin (Victor)* 840 hp 6 speed manual. Pretty sure this is a one off, a concept type thing, but I would love to see this produced, it's gorgeous inside and out. AND HAS 840 HP IN A MANUAL.
The video is incorrect! There are manual supercars being manufactured today, such as Gordon Murray T.50, Aston Martin Vantage, Porsche 911 GT3 Touring (not yet revealed) and the Singer-Williams DLS wich is also air cooled.
Everyone of these cars should be kept as tresures and dailydriven. The mecanical achievements back then and the research behind it were no joke. Today, I feel like every car is the same under the bonnet.

I had an evo ix FQ340. Best handling car I've ever owned. I would jump at the chance to have that car as a 2020 version if it could be made today.

Yep, you needed a high stall converter put in. Also they had less gears than the equivalent manual, now its the other way round.

I've driven the Civic with VTEC once and it was even noticeable with only 140 PS and 1,8 liter (FN1). It kicked in, yo.
There is also the Toyota Blade Master G hot hatch with a 3.5 liter V6 engine. I believe it was made until 2012.
