Falling Leaves Sock KAL (knit along)
September 15 - November 15
Details:
-The goal is to knit one pair socks each month using fall colored or themed yarn. This includes colorwork designs, scrappy, textured patterns. As well as Halloween colors and theme.
-Full length and shorty socks welcome
-SIPS (socks in progress) welcome
- Fingering, sport, DK and worsted...all yarn weights are welcome
-Crocheted socks welcome
-KAL will run exclusively on Instagram
-2 winners will be chosen each month

Hi there!! Beautiful colorway! Fall is my favorite time of year. You were saying that not everyone uses Instagram. One option could be a Google sheet that people submit their finished objects. I know a few people had success going that route. 😊
Hi Denise, I love your new sock yarn. I am overloaded with sock yarn, but your new color is too tempting to resist. I have followed along on many of your “no fear” sock tutorials, and feel I’m a pretty confident sock knitter now. I would still love to join in on your small Zoom classes. I’m so happy to see you back with all the new updates and wonderful news. I’m going to try my hand at the sock KAL this season. I love vibrant spring and summer colors but I looked in my stash and found some appropriate fall yarn ( at least I think it’s fall inspired). You should absolutely put your toe in the waters regarding small knitting circle knit-a-longs. It would be an awesome chance for folks to get back to knitting with a destination to go, even if it is Zoom. None of my friends knit , so I am a solo knitter. I haven’t knitted long compared to most almost a full year but I enjoy my time with my yarn and needles. Please, don’t let anyone rain on your parade! You said, you placed them the back of your bus; please kick them off!!! Take care and be kind to yourself.

So so great to hear your voice and catch up with you as always dear friend. Your colorway is absolutely PERFECT!!! First week of school for us here so we're falling into a new rhythm and being intentional about giving each other space while also checking in with feelings. I love September as well and can see the tops of some maple trees and crab apple trees starting to change color. Will be checking the calendar to take the kids apple picking soon!! So good to see you, Denise! I'm so excited that it's September; even though I migrated to get a job and ended up in Florida, it is still my favorite season! I am also so excited for you for the yarn!! It has such a happy autumn vibe. I wanted to go to Rhinebeck for the first time this year--especially as I turned 50 and all my plans had gone out the window....but it seems I thought of that too late to make it happen. Nevertheless, I am making a Rhinebeck sweater and I look forward to seeing yours! Fall sock KAL--can't wait! even though I have so many WIPs and lists, there is always room for Fall knits. I have SIPs, I have too many patterns in my queue that I want to knit all at once but that is a problem I don't mind having 😂.
