    The only turbo diesel Mercedes I see for sale around Albuquerque are busted up or expensive. Can't wait to find one for my 92 XJ.

    What is that button to start Glow Plug? Just curious. Is there any pictures that could show your Dash with Pillar Gauges, and buttons?

    Love the videos man, what color code is on your XJ? Been looking for a gun metal grey almost like color for a while now.

    • @turbodieselxj
      @turbodieselxj  2 года назад

      The Color is Granite Crystal. It is a factory option for many Chrysler models so it is easily sourced. Looks good with most Chrysler interiors as well, which is why I chose it for this rig.

      I’ll do a video on it. Super simple. Although mines glitching out currently 🤣

    Hey man in the process of doing the same swap how did you get the rpm signal to work do I just run the crank position sensor and that’s it?

  • @Cowboysgamin

    What’s the mpg

    • @turbodieselxj
      @turbodieselxj  2 года назад +3

      I still need to do a short video discussing MPG. I get usually 20-22 city currently on 35's and around 24-27 highway. Usually 24. It really depends how I drive. I like hearing the turbo and I don't take it easy, so I don't get the best fuel mileage. That said, it's way better than a 4.0 and more powerful.

    The production of these videos are great and that XJ is sweet. I just bought my own a couple months ago. It's got a 3 inch lift on 31s and I installed new headlights just like yours. Got any good ideas for adding power or must-have additions to the Jeep?

    • @turbodieselxj
      @turbodieselxj  2 года назад +2

      Honestly the easiest and biggest thing you can do if you increased tire size is re-gearing. It is not an inexpensive project, but it's one that is often overlooked. If you are still running stock gears on 31's, dropping to 4.10's or even 4.56's (if you plan on eventually running 33's) will make it feel like a different beast.

    • @brianwills4398
      @brianwills4398 2 года назад

      My 99 is set up the same, 3" on 31's, IMHO the 2 best things I've done to mine was Kevin's off road track bar bushings and filthy addictions motor and transmission mounts. I haven't changed the gearing yet because I might swap axles soon.
