Very helpful stealth. I’ll know for next time not to bring a leclerc. Would advise other people to ask stealth for tips when they fuck up like I did because it can be an eye opener. Once again thanks stealth and keep up the good work

@@YMG477 If you want to become better, you are alreasy in the correct mind set ;)
So, bringing a leclerc was not a bad idea, at all, but it was not the right place to put it. And in a Tactical game, some tanks could be more interesting and provide a similar effect, without costing that much, and with you not having "cold feet" to use them (if you are playing Fr only, consider Eurocorps, as they is a gap betwen the AMX 40 and the Leclerc, that the Leo and Leo2 line can fill (plus, it give you the Keiler (Kpz 70?) which is an excellent support tank against inf and light vehicles) But, don't forget that your most important weapon is not your advanced tank, nor your elite infantry, but your recon ;) you can't have too much recon.
When you where considering using you Leclerc to cover your allies in the middle, that was actually a good decision, only blocked by the fact that you couldn't see the threat and where the enemy where. with some smoke rounds from your mortars and a recon vehicle (The 10 RC is actually quite good, but tend to show itself when using its gun), you could have hurt the enemy T80 and T72, and force them to either split to face you, fall back, to try to repair, or disengage from their position to face you, and it would have provided time for your allies to rearm, reasses the situation, and find a way to deal with the threat.
Other than that, I do agree with Stealth (he is of good advice, because he knows he's not the best player, and he just learn from its mistakes, as we all do), but I will just add that the forest just under delta (on the closest point to charlie) might also be full of enemy infantry, with support and surely some recon (look at 6'30, where the smoke marker is, that's where I would have some of my cheap recon and one or two units, to get an early shot, and warn me that something is coming, and maybe make them doubt, when they take some shots, even if I don't kill anything.
You would need some smoke (to avoid detection and being fired at), some long range support (French tanks like the 30s, 32 or 40 can do the job, no need to break the bank with the super heavy), and some fast transport (the VAB, always a good choice ;) ) and some troops good enough to make an impact, but not to expensive, because you will lose some (that's why building a deck is so difficult, and fun too) like Legion90, Rima, Panzergrenadier or a buck load of cheap inf, like the Chasseur (the old one, with the MAT, can actually be useful here) or Jager (same word, in German, for the German troops ;) )
Once you get the building with some troops, you will be in a position to decide to continue pushing (but with less, weakened troops) or regroup and reinforce a bit, before pushing again (but the enemy will have time too, and will know where you are). You have to choose, and it's the part that will come with experience. You don't want to let the enemy take back the initiative. And, believe me, you will make mistakes (pushing to far, or not pushing fast enough) and it's okay, it's just a game, and you're learning. But as long as you enjoy the game and find that you improve, you're doing something good.
You only lose when you don't learn from your mistakes ;)
So, go, have fun, play, don't hesitate to ask questions, and also, watch some replays, watch your own replays, with neutral view, or the enemy, or yours, to understand what you can see, what you cannot, which units where real threats, ans why you did not succed on a particular action on some games.
Sorry for my english, it's not perfect, not my primary languages. If you want, I could translate into German or French, the other languages, I'm not good enough yet.
And, welcome to the Stealth community (and Wargame too) hope you will like it, and I would invite you to check some older videos, where he explain the game very nicely. (that's how I started to understand the game, and how it was different from other games, or from the real warfare.)
Stealth, great job (as usual ;) ) and the use of the pencil and marks are a neat addition to your videos, it's very interesting and a great pedagogic tool.

I've ran into a number of new players that have no idea of the base objective of each game so basically Destruction is a kill'em all kind of game with some differences for starters this game mode is about points gained from kills not terrain mind you it helps but not required. so once you have a position keep going forward until you find the enemy. think of it as a CoD team death-match the longer you sit around the quicker the enemy hunts you down the more you push forward the less places they have to ambush you from. I know some would say you don't need to always push into the enemy and that's true and I agree, but if you don't find the enemy then 1 of 2 things has happened 1. they fell back or no 1 went there. 2. the scary part they went around you. it's not only about getting kills it's also about information and the 2 greatest pieces of information you can have is what units are where and where all the enemy players are. If you an 1 other player go to a flank and find 3 enemy players in front then that's info for the whole team you know where 3 people are so that would rule out 3 people from making a major attack on your rear. and if you find 1 player is in the air and your constantly taking arty you can safely count that as another player (if tactical game) there's 5 found and 4 are being seen pushing down the centre that's 9 with leaving 1 possible on the other flank alone.
that kind of information is like gold to vets that's why it's crucial for you to keep going so you know their weak spot, your weak spot, and if someone is looking to go around to behind, but after a few minutes (preferably 10 - 20mins in) if you have the *point lead* (as in kills) then you don't need to push forward anymore. as defending is easier than attacking and at that point you have to defend your lead. if your not ahead then keep going but look for alternate routes forward because I'd bet $1000 the enemy ahead is setting up a strong defense. and this is where paying attention to Stealth's pointers in the vid will help you because what he is trying to teach you is if you have to attack then do so with the minimum amount of casualties to your self while inflicting maximum damage to the enemy because kills are everything in this game mode meaning the less they get and the more you gain the quicker you take the lead. keep fighting

@Steven 1773 no that entire dark green field, if a tank is in that patch of forest overlooking the city, it simple cant fire or spot anything, infantry can get close enough to be in AT range without even being spotted

i didnt think you'd be doing wargame to this day , i just got the game a few days ago and i cant bring my friend to play multiplayer with me we only play us 2 against 2 easy bots your videos are super helpful im not so good at building decks and micro managament can you do a vid on building decks or if you have one already just reply to me with the name of that vid , thanks!
Edit: Im also struggling with understanding a few game mechanics , like when i have a group of 4 tanks and i want to command just one of them to go somewhere can i do that ? if so how , and also i was wondering can i make a unit follow another unit like a convoy for example so i would want a tank in front an aa behind the tank and a support unit/command vehicle in back can i do that ?

    • @Stealth17Gaming
      @Stealth17Gaming  4 года назад

If you want to command 1 tank to go somewhere then you need to have it as a separate tank. Select the group of 4 and click "split". You'll then have 4 individual tanks that you can give separate orders to.
There is no follow option/mode in the game. Wargame doesn't have formations.
For deck building vids just search my channel for "deck" or "deck building" and you'll find plenty of vids.
