Best video for these boats so far!
First video I've found with some great information to the questions I had! Thanks for making this!
Do you forsee any problems with the matted floor squares not staying down or potentially causing a tripping hazard on the corners at any point?
Thanks! Be sure to subscribe for more!
@@fizwocket2854 Time will tell about the longevity of the padded tiles - I really don't see them as a trip hazard, and the material feels very nice and robust. Nothing negative about them stands out to me yet.
Ah yes, the Chain O Lakes. Great place when I lived in IL, cruising around the lakes and down river and of course a stop at Blarneys. The good old days. Nice video, nice concept for the jet pontoon. always favored jet boats.
Wrong video, my bad.
I'm an idiot. Right video. LOL
@@walkingman9171 this made me laugh..lol. the chain of lakes rocks!!
Great review, best one so far. I have never been captivated by a boat like I am with this one. Really considering one of these. They need to come up with a Minn Kota mount option for the front.
I'm sure the added options will be endless on these boats! :)
You did a great job with this review.
Great review. I had asked many people up the cruise setting. I am glad they have a hands-off option. Thanks for also mentioning the modular foam-filled toons. These will be great on lakes and are a good hybrid between a boat and pontoon. I wonder how they will hold up to getting beached at a sandbar. That is the one area a pontoon excels. Could you see sealegs being added to these in the future?
The most detail review so far, very impressive
Thank you!

This was very detailed thank you
THank you!
My guy you killed this review 💪🏾!!!
We appreciate the comment!
Sea doo we need a fishing addition
I wish seadoo had a list of the dealers they’ve shipped these to for demos. I want to see one in person, but I live in CT. No way to tell who has one unless you call every dealer individually and ask.
Just waiting for mine to show up !!
Great review, it’s more of a crossover than a pontoon boat. Has more speed and turning ability, but less comfort than a traditional Pontoon.
Excellent information video clear cut to the point makes me want to get one
Let us know if we can help!
I want a switch that is both a boat AND a jetski. Once that is built, I will buy for sure.
Need fishing rod storage, livewell would be or add it to switch so it can be moved and locked.
Trolling motor options.
May need to wait for future models
I want to check one out and might buy one this summer. Fishing, water sports and chilling on the lake. I think this thing could do it all. Minus a livewell
We hope to have them on display soon!!!
I was a bit skeptical initially but the more I look at it these the more I like them. I bought a couple Sparks when Seadoo released them and I love them. They might not be the fastest PWC's out there but they'll go 50+ but they are the without a doubt the most "tossable" PWC's on the the market. You can literally turn them on a dime and do things other other PWC's would find impossible. It'll be interesting to see how these sell. Seadoo hit a home run with the Sparks and these might just be the next big thing. I have a bowrider now but I was planning on getting a pontoon for the additional room. What I hated giving up for that room was the ability to have a little fun. These might just be the ticket to both
I was griping for a few years at the whole industry that we needed a return of an ultralight, compact Kawasaki Jet Mate style miniboat.
This isn't the same, but dammit...it's close enough.
My Sparks made me a believer too, but I do need a small 4 pax boat that hits about 30. I'm probably swapping out for the Compact.
The end of your comment is exactly what intrigues me. I want a bow rider for skiing and fishing but would love a pontoon for both. Problem I have had is seeing most pontoons only go around 25 MPH unless you spend a lot of money. These look awesome and I feel like I'd be happy with it. I am hoping to see more videos come out to see how they do wakeboarding behind and ability to customize for fishing.
I already want one
Congratulations; This may be the the first boat review I've seen that doesn't mention the number of Cup Holders on board. Thank You
🤣 Thanks for the comments! We tried to give a little more details!
@@NielsenEnterprise That guy smashed the like button twice
I was wondering on difference between the 21 ' cruiser and sport model. Would you still be able too use the full enclosure on the sport, even though the railing is lowered in the front?
Very good video with lots of information, when I watched the sea doo video they gave very little info about the motor, where as you gave a lot of information including where the motor is located in the boat ,l appreciate that , the motor is extremely important part to the boat .
We are glad to offer you the info you were looking for :) #NeTime
The sport is for me in yellow. Would love to see one handle my local lake on a choppy windy Oklahoma day.
When possible..
Can you get more info on the 16-ft up.
with 100 hp engine.
For example speed with 4 people & acceleration against a current..
Could you swing someone around on a tube behind it with decent speed..
I would be interested in this for fishing.. putting rods around the sides. Drifting for catfish...
They don't seem to be trying to push sales on the 100 hp.
Thanks again on the informative video 🙂
Thanks! Great information. Would like to know the cost comparison to the nicer pontoons. Maybe the Switch will give you a good package for less money.
Great video. I’m not too familiar with pwc water craft. How easy is it to winterize.
I’m in Massachusetts so it’s a concern.
I winterize my Malibu Response myself.
MV rất hay, i like it 💘💘👏
Do you think these can have someone wake surf behind them? Looking at the 18 or 21ft models.
Any word on if they will have fishing add ons or a fish pro edition?
I just put my deposit down on the Compact Sport in Blue!! We will use it at the lake and in Panama city beach cruising the Bay and Shell Island. We do it now on our fx svho so this should handle just as good in the chop but with more room.
Congrats!!
@@NielsenEnterprise Thanks .
@@MR.TOYBOX sounds like you need to post a video when you get yours.
Amazing review !
Thank you!
I built out the 21' Sport last night. From watching your video, do these throw much wake? It looks like they don't so I'm not sure that wake boarding would be very good. I was also trying to figure out what kind of fishing accessories they had and it seems that if you select the ski pole you can't get rod holders as that is tied into the cooler. I also couldn't tell if the Garmin has a fish finder or if it is only a GPS. Anyhow, these look awesome and I like the versatility of it and the fact that they can actually get to speed. Most pontoons are around 25MPH unless you get into spending a lot.
First off, great video! Thanks for taking the time to create it. You mentioned the other Bimini top only being intended for slower speeds. Were you referring to the double Bimini being offered? I was hoping that it would also be able to sustain full speed, but curious about your thoughts. Does the double Bimini stow away like the standard?
No there is one that is more of a "fly cover" on the smaller boats. The double one operates and stores much like the standard one
When are you expecting for dealers to start receiving 2022 Yamaha and seadoo pwcs ?
This looks awesome! Where can we try one out in the Seattle area? You did a fabulous job explaining everything. Thank you!
Hopefully your local dealer will have them after the 1st of the year.
Keep looking into these but not finding much towards the fishing market. Is there any accessories for fishing?
Is boarding the boat from the side an option? I don't see easy access from a two sided dock vs front end at dock?
Thanks! Wouldn't those side toons be considered sponsons? Just asking.
Do they come with a option to add a slide so the kids can slide into the water?
I really like it, already have 2 their PWC , but boating on the river all the time, problem is always to pick some floating weeds. Is not problem to clean the intake crate on PWC, but looks like would be very hard to do it on Switch without diving under the hull. Did they address that with some hatch on the deck to reach the intake crate, maybe ?
They thought of that. There is a system designed to reverse the pump and evacuate the weeds
Great review, we have a very weedy lake. Previously owned a PwC but keeping the pump clear was a constant challenge. Do these have the IDS system like the fish pro? Or a different way to clear debris from the pump?
Has IDS
Great clear review! The larger boats spec sheet says Disc brake. Are they surge or electric?
Surge brakes on the larger boat trailer.
how does the double bimini fold in different positions
A convertible style window film
Thanks for Your video. i want to buy one seadoo switch . Have you got any agent in viet nam ?
I had $46k into my sylvan 24 fter brand new in 2016. Seems like a great buy for the horsepower, maneuverability and utility customization. What about lighting? You can’t see in front of your face on my lake at night and don’t see much information about that. How are the interior and dock lights? Are there any LEDs on the sides and back for visible night swimming?
From factory its just the navigation lighting.
How shallow will it run and take off?
I am interested to see what kind of a boatlift you need for that
I have three rambunctious Portuguese water dogs. Would the clear film that you're talking about hold up to them? The film on the sides
What about storing them in the winter do they come with a cover ?
I would like a test and demo in salt water inter coastal waterways for example the Clearwater Channel along the West Coastal areas like Dunedin, St. Joseph’s Sound. Why? Well I traverse these waterways. There are concerns because of shallow areas (depth meters are advisable). Also, for example entering the Gulf through the Sand Key entry point. Large vessels have huge draft, can the base model handle the wakes with four adults on board? Thank you Bob C Clearwater, Florida
I haven’t seen any info on fuel consumption. Can you give some information about GPH on the 21 foot at various conditions, such as eco vs performance and also between the 230 and 170 engine ?
Nobody buys a boat for fuel economy!!! Especially one like this. Way too many variables that will alter that.
How are these on salt water, like say the intercoastal water ways?
What is the fuel efficiency of this boat? with a 30 gallon tank how long can you spend on the water per tank?
whats the fuel consumption? I had a seadoo that used more fuel than my 21 ft boat that had a 210 hp I/O and think it should be considered when buying
Thanks for the video! Was there any talk about using these for fishing? Is there a live well option? Could you add a trolling motor? Do you think the engines would be capable of operating at trolling speed? Are there optional fishing-style seats available?
This guy is asking the right questions I was thinking the same thing
@@eyeTHC me too!!!
There isn't currently a livewell option - but I have a feeling that this will change. It may be possible that the one from the switch pro will transfer over.
The motor would be able to go at trolling speed.
Push comes to shove, I bet one could use one of the linq coolers and avoid putting slimey bastards like pike in it. I imagine they will keep coming out with new accessories with the modular system, too.
Hey
Is this seadoo switch recommended for ocean sloppy waters?
How are they in Salt water,do they need to be bottom painted?
Does the trailer come with a slate tire?
Great review. I know the Garmin transducer for fishing is optional and it is through hull. My question is, do they provide a provision for that to make install easy or do you have to drill a hole on the bottom? Thanks.
No drilling is required - It will be a fairly straight forward installation.
@@NielsenEnterprise Great! Now they need some Linq rod holders.
The poly hull is a drill mount transducer same as gti poly hull i i stalled it very easily into the engine compartment and screwed into hull with provided screws that do not go completely through the hull. I would have to imagine it is going to be the same install i to these as the gti platform
@@alowarrior right on. So it’s through hull in the sense of it transmitting and not a big round hole like I have seen.
Would you trust it from Florida to Bahamas & back?
Great review. Can you pull a slalom adult skier on the Switch?
We'd think so!
What if you are in a channel with weeds? Will this clog up like a PWC? Then how hard is it to clear out? I really like this and think this could be something we'd enjoy.
They are equipped with IDF (Intelligent debris Free) system. it has a method of pushing out any weeds.
Looking at using this in the inter-coastal waterways around NC and SC as well as lakes. Thoughts on using this in saltwater and inter-coastal waterways?
Like any PWC or boat used in saltwater, we'd always suggest a flush etc. It is a closed cooling system, so that is helpful .
Is there a way to lock the customizable seats, tables, etc.? For example, if you had this parked on the street for a night couldn't someone just come take all the seats?
Would love to know this as well!
Would you recommend for the Turks and Caicos Islands?
How far out is delivery? You mention these are all prototypes, when with the actual models be produced? Thank you!
We hope to see some starting as soon as December - We have pre-sold many units already, I feel realistic timing on these will be March / April - but as we know, nothing is in stone.
If we can help with an order, please let us know! 847.356.3000
They should of made a portable live well that you could put in the corner like replacing the speaker box thing
The awesome part is, I bet they will continue to add awesome accessories. BRP is pretty good about listening to its customers too.
They have a livewell set up for fish pro dont see why it cant be adapted to this engine. Parts should fit up to this motor as well all you need is the raw water washdown set up for fish pro then the large fishing cooler turns into a livewell.
Great video ! What water depth is needed to run that type of engine in ? With that heavy bimini top folding forward, can that boat still get put on a lift with a canopy on it ?
Just like any Jet propulsion vessel - you'll want to be careful about running in shallow water as not to suck up any un wanted items into the pump. Having said that these will run in a more shallow environment than a standard I/O. The bimini top is actually not heavy, very easy to open and close. Yes, it would still fit on a lift w/ a cover on it once the top was folded forward. It folds forward and down for trailering as well.
@@NielsenEnterprise Thank you for response ! I see nothing about a ladder ? When will you have a showroom model ? I love our Starcraft deckboat but this thing looks really cool !
@@erichoffman5571 Sorry we missed that detail. There is an integrated boarding ladder that stores in the rear of the boat on the swim platform. We hope to have these in our showoom by Jan / Feb. Be sure to watch our Facebook page for updates on that timing.
Smaller ones draft 18.7" larger ones 19.3" with no passengers
How would the 21 handle in waters that surround Door County (Green Bay side)?
That's a subjective question for sure. It would really depend on wind and waves. On a normal calmer day, we feel it would.
I have a question, can this be left in the water without a lift. I know with a standard pontoon/ tritoon you can do this.
As of yet, we have not read anything saying this is not advised. However, like any type of boat it's always better if you put them on a lift or take them out.
Any idea on the tongue weight of the 21ft cruise is?
It’s usually ten percent of total weight.
Here's a question how do you prevent someone from stealing your seats and do they make a cover for the boat when docked
There is a mooring cover as an option.
Love it! called around (I live in LA) no one has them yet in stock. I would just like to see one before I order one on line or from a dealer and if I do order one anyone know the wait time? are you a dealer?
I ordered one last month, won't be in till July of 22
@@ericporter2373 Thanks for the info.
are the corner speakers wired? If not, how do they charge?
They are wired. yes.
Do they have side thrusters? How is the docking on them? Also, how responsive are they? Thanks!
No thrusters, but very easy to dock!
If they set the sea doo switch into a fish pro set up it will have more sales than lund boats do each year imagine that a sea doo switch pro fish model that you can put up to a 12 inch lowrance or hummingbird on front and captains chair and a front mounting bar you can add a trolling motor and man nothing will touch it
YES!!!
So you don't have to worry about galvanic corrosion like metal pontoons have?
correct.
Which lay out in your opinion did you like better the sport or the cruise? Thinking about 18ft sport maybe
I'm not sure there's a right or wrong answer. Both have great configurations. I think this will boil down to your preference and maybe what your ultimate use is for the boat.
@@NielsenEnterprise I ended up doing the 21ft sport I pre-order it today. Thank you for the video
@@deanwestmark5385 Nice choice!!
Did you have a chance to drive a 100hp 16'? I like the compact sport but it looks like a wet ride and here in the Chesapeake Bay it's almost always choppy. Leaning towards the 100hp Cruise but I want to be sure it will plane off fully loaded.
The demo tour I was on did not have a 100hp unit. From personal experience and feel, if you are concerned about power on a choppy day with a fully loaded boat - I personally would shy away from the 100hp unit.
@@NielsenEnterprise Did you see a big difference in stability at rest or ride (and spray) in the chop between the 13' and the 16'?
@@dereknichols3571 the 16' for sure will ride a little better in a chop. I can't say I saw a major difference in spray, but the lake we were on was pretty calm overall.
this boat grows in me but the annoying part is the bimini top folds forward kinda blocks the driver's view. I dont quite understand why it is designed in such way
When will they put the 300 motor in them?
We would assume some so.
Shoppy waters!!!
I see you can wakeboard with this boat - but what about Wakesurfing? Is it capable of putting out a surfable wake?
I would say, not likely.
Bro, you got to get a wake surf boat for that. This thing new is 20-40k fully loaded.
Wake surf boats with ballast, are well over 75k.
question how many seats does the cruise come with
We have not seen a production model yet - but this spec sheet might help in showing you a layout.
How do I flush my switch on a boat lift. Jump in water. Have swim step
All this information, I have just 1 question how do you board this vessel from the dock there's no side doors only front (in the water) and the back (in the water)
The sides are really low toward the front. You could always nose in to the dock if need be. The thing is very nimble.
@@DrBlingDaddy Tracy I appreciate your knowledge, however when your in your late 60s even that small step can be hurtful.
I think I need one, 13 ft please, orange/red and white
Let us know if we can help. 847 -356 - 3000
Does the Bimini top fold down flat? So you could cruise under a low bridge?
Yes
We have found that the Bimini doesn’t fold down flat as we would like
Will the trailer and boat fit in a 8 ft high garage without taking air out of the tires
How tall is your garage door? I think unit on trailer is a couple inches over 8 feet
We can try and get actual dimensions for you.
Was wondering if it would fit also.. with the way the Bimini folds down, it doesn’t lay flat like other boats and adds a few more inches to the height
Any fishing videos
How many seats can you add to the smaller switch ? Can you have 7 seats ?
If you remove the "lounger", absolutely. But 5 people is recommended for the compact switch.
will they make it to Australia?
My nephew works for a seadoo dealership in Harvey Bay, suggested they will be shipping in 2024. Supply chain issues hampered production earlier.
Does it have cruise control or do you have to hold the throttle the entire time?
It has cruise control and low speed cruise control as well
Holding the throttle is not required.
How heavy is this boat ? I wonder.
But is it sporty?
Would this be good on lake Michigan?
Maybe on a calm day. In general we don't feel the pontoon boat platform is a great choice for lake MI.
Love everything about these accept the handlebar steering!! It's the stupid handlebar steering that's keeping me from buying one.
Don't let that get you hung up. Drive one, you'll see why!
That's why you should consider it
Just looking up some info on these things, turns out you guys are like a 5 min drive from me. I'll have to stop in.
We'd be glad to help in any way we can! We'll see you soon! :)
How do these engines hold up in the salt water?
They are a closed system , but like anything else we'd suggest a flush.
Can they stay docked in salt water unlike my seadoo gti se 130
