Interesting, I like the added storage on the new one. There's a buttload of storage on them, but in the '23 the only "dry" storage for phones etc is fairly small.
I film in Canada, people watch this from around the world, so I'm careful to not show pricing on the video for that reason, and also because pricing can change. Checking the link in the description will always show the most up to date pricing. (including if there are discounts available at the time that someone is actually shopping)
@@PeterLoweOne Not a bust on you in any way Brother! Also, not a comment on whether price is good or bad. I was just curious and went to the website and saw this number. I liked your video and what the craft is for and able to do. Take care!
Im really thinking about trading in my 2019 fish pro in for the 13' one of these. I think think would be a really good fishing platform and easier to bring someone with me.
Yes I haven't purchased yet . I was looking at the seadoo pro , but I am leaning towards one of these now . Especially when you are out and want to fish early or later in the season , more confort
I can see both sides of that. I have a '22 Fish Pro Trophy, and a '23 Switch Cruise 170. Love 'em both, but each has it's strong points and drawbacks. It's nice to be able to stand and walk around a little, but you tend to catch breezes and slide around the lake more. LOVE being able to pick up and boogie down the lake at highway speeds with the ski!
@@UncleBildo good info. I fish in the ocean so I would put one of those trolling motors with the spotlock feature if i did get the switch. In all reality my fish pro is paid off now so I will most likely just run it until its done.
Can the bimini on these be reversed to fold down towards the back instead of forward ? Seems weird to fold forward and block the front of the boat instead of being off the back and out of the way
I used to drive RIBs for safety and coaching dinghy sailing. That could be a reasonable alternative, however what's it like for attaching a dinghy for rescue-towing?
I used to do auto reviews for a major media group a decade ago and they used to require that we point out flaws. To be honest, some of those old formulas are just tired and not all that helpful to people. Most of the time what is a negative to one person isn't a negative to many others. This is the type of review that I do. I assume that if the things that I point out interest a viewer, that viewer will head down to a dealer to check one out for themselves and decide for themselves if the vehicle, boat, motorcycle etc., is right for them. This is the second channel that I've started, the first has gone on to be a much larger channel than all of that previous major media groups channels combined. So while I do point out things that I don't like in many of my videos, this is generally how I review things, and it's been an effective method for a sustained period of time. I hope that helps to clarify what I do for you.
Here is the flaws. Its competitor is the Yamaha ar190. This switch may be more fun to drive, especially if you get this small sport one, but the ar190 is an actual boat with way more comfort and storage. It can also hold 6 adults with food, multiple coolers, life jackets, tubes, pool noodles, exc. the ar190 has also been produced longer so it’s easier to find on the used market.
When I drive my pontoon, I often am leaning forward in the chair resting my steering arm on the wheel. It's a comfortable position option to setting back more with an arm, or both, extended somewhat. Probably could figure out an equivalency.
I think you're imagining situations that are probably less likely to happen than on other sport or fishing boats. I would feel VERY secure on this boat.
I saw another video where the owner took the trailer wheels off, and it still barely fit, but it fit. However, that’s a lot of work just to accomplish this.
The camera angle makes it look much higher than it really is, but to be fair, it's high enough to give plenty of clearance for people to walk freely around the boat.
It does. I didn't want to extend this video to show it. I'll show it in the next video that I do with this boat. It's pretty simple to raise and lower.
It's too protect the deck, same as the gym or bowling alley. My Gramps had a pair of deck shoes for me when her first started teaching me to captain at 5.
I actually find the pricing of these to be pretty reasonable when you consider the large deck, the performance, the fact that an engine and trailer are included in the price, and that goes along with a flexible interior that you can tailor to your needs. If you start trying to find boats that even meet 3/4 of what this boat includes in the price, you're right in the same ballpark for price.
@@PeterLoweOne You could buy a used Pontoon for under 10 K and a new SeeDoo for 15 K , this is a rip off . You could also get a nice Jon Boat for around 12K Im talking Edge with 30 HP .
Totally exposed soaking wet and freezing cold but don't worry its all good because the handlebars come with hand grip warmers ! Lmao 😂😂😂🤦🤦 Edit : 45k views and only 400 likes ...nailed it Sea-Doo well done you have produced a floating turd
I think what you're trying hard to say is that this "isn't for you". That's ok. Lots of people think these are great. Nobody is forcing you to buy it, or even like it.
Interesting, I like the added storage on the new one. There's a buttload of storage on them, but in the '23 the only "dry" storage for phones etc is fairly small.
Starts at $30K in case you were wondering.

30k
Omg please
A kayak and trolling motor will do for me and spend less than 800 bucks
I was thinking around $14k on the high side. 30k is insane
Thanks, my first question.
Remember when Sea-Doo sold the speedster with ceramic washers, that was fun too.

i wish...because the forward folding creates tremendous wind wind drag when towing....bad design.
What is the size of the gas tank & what is the MPG?

I'm not sure. It's definitely very versatile, there's not much it can't do.
Greetings from oakville Ontario thanks for the presentation i learnt something new today by the master himself peter
Can you use this boat for camping; is there a full cover or canopy made for this boat?
Just a heads up u can always go to a canvas shop most places will custom make covers for a price
You did a very flattering review of the Sea Doo Switch. Now do an objective review detailing some of the cons about this boat.
I used to do auto reviews for a major media group a decade ago and they used to require that we point out flaws. To be honest, some of those old formulas are just tired and not all that helpful to people. Most of the time what is a negative to one person isn't a negative to many others.

What kind of Gas Mileage does the Switch 13ft Sport get??
I looked at one today. Super cute and functional.
Would be great for fishing or just having a nice cigar :)
It’s the capsize in high winds boat lol. Saw one go bottoms up yesterday at lake pleasant in Arizona. I would never buy one of these.
what the lowest height on trailer for this boat? I'm trying to find something that will fit into my garage under 94"? Thanks in advance
When will it be available in Australia.
Bruh You're living in a prison colony are you even allowed to be on the internet right now?
I missed it does it have lights

Excellent walkthrough!
Thanks for watching!
dangerously close to 'Sea Doo Doo'
You're not kidding!
This might make a good tender for some yachts! 😎👍⚓
I was thinking the same thing😅
I liked it until I seen how you steer it and the throttle control. I think it's simply a cost savings measure.
Hmmm, seems like a good platform for launching drones, TV production and support, camera boat, etc...
Oh for sure!
One thing I think is dope is the modular seating. You can just click in and out the furniture
I imagine many people will be falling out of these.
I think you're imagining situations that are probably less likely to happen than on other sport or fishing boats. I would feel VERY secure on this boat.
Cool design. However how do you dock it? Kind of flawed in that aspect.
Did not fit under a 7' garage door - was a deal breaker for me.
I saw another video where the owner took the trailer wheels off, and it still barely fit, but it fit.
However, that’s a lot of work just to accomplish this.
No mention of the dimensions of this boat.
Man that's huge
Why is the Bimini top 20 feet above????
The camera angle makes it look much higher than it really is, but to be fair, it's high enough to give plenty of clearance for people to walk freely around the boat.
Looks like a nice retirement gift to me.
This thing looks top heavy and the Bimini top will act as a sail.
Looks can be deceiving, and the Bimini is solid on the water at speed.
I love this little boat. It has the electrical system of a jet ski. Be very careful upgrading the electronics.
This thing screams I want to have fun but I don't want to get my hair wet.
Just what I have been looking for for camping.
you didnt show towing mode
I'll touch on some of those features in a future video.
since u didnt show it i guess that top doesnt come down
It does. I didn't want to extend this video to show it. I'll show it in the next video that I do with this boat. It's pretty simple to raise and lower.
Very nice boat and you made a great video shoeing it.
I was just quoted $35,000 for a 2023 Sea Doo Switch Cruise 18 50PA 230 hp caribbean blue is this a fair price?
Run
Run fast
Why is it a "cardinal sin" to wear sneakers on a boat? Are you suggesting that we should all be barefoot? (Cool boat, by the way!!)
I was always raised to take off any footwear before getting on a boat. It's a very common rule for many boat owners.
It's too protect the deck, same as the gym or bowling alley. My Gramps had a pair of deck shoes for me when her first started teaching me to captain at 5.
No boat does everything.. This checks a lot of boxes..
Lake toy at best. Price ?
Lake toy...as opposed to what?
No bait tank? Thats a big issue.
2025 brings a new FISH model. I haven't dug into the specs yet, but that's one thing I'll be looking for.
Is this entire boat made of plastic?
And can be all yours for stating price of
$36,899
I actually find the pricing of these to be pretty reasonable when you consider the large deck, the performance, the fact that an engine and trailer are included in the price, and that goes along with a flexible interior that you can tailor to your needs. Seadoo bass boat.. ❤️❤️❤️🤙🏼🤙🏼

I can dig it.
Pretty cool
Nice
If it was a real boat we would see it float.
I do different reviews than others. Maybe this video isn't for you? 🤷♂️
cool
A raft is not a boat
Correct. And this is not a raft. 🙄
Absolutely Amazing waste of money and useless watercraft
I think what you're trying hard to say is that this "isn't for you". That's ok. Lots of people think these are great. Nobody is forcing you to buy it, or even like it.
Pure junk
Correct
He doesn't mention all the cons and problems
