To add a little regarding the 3 sizes, each one, adding on a 3' section. - the 13 has no swim platform. The 18 is really a 16 with a 2' swim platform, and the 21 is really a 19 with a 2' swim platform. A swim platform could be added to the 13, (making it a 15) by buying the parts and installing it yourself. SeaDoo, according to Watercraft Journal, won't sell it that way because if it is over 13' it requires more mandated features (emissions? I can't remember specifically what he said) and would jack the cost up.

This looks fun and versatile, I would hope the price simmers down a bit as supply increases.
Everything has its pros and cons, it’s about finding what fits your style best.
Sure plastic is more fragile, but can be formed for better manoeuvring than the traditional logs. I’d like to see under the deck how everything’s attached, and if there’s some strength/stress support.
I would think with the higher HP and somewhat light weight that it planes quick and “hopefully” handles chop well.
With the ability to move chairs and benches around the deck, I can understand the lack of flooring options that some are complaining about. I mean… carpet doesn’t belong on a boat anyways, it’s only good for catching sand, mold, and fishhooks… but I’m curious how “non slip” the current deck is.
In due time I hope they catch up with other options like, pedestal tables and bbq’s, lighting, sound system, seating upgrades etc. And maybe even add a sport-fish version with livewell, rod holders, swivel pedestal seats etc.
I can’t imagine these are great on fuel, but what boat with enough power is? Every boat costs to fuel and maintain… hell, that’s what BOAT stands for: Bring Out Another Thousand.
I’m near a lot of wide open shallow salt water… and something like this definitely has my attention. Thanks for the review!

As I read these comments I see people who rather than admire the Sea Doo Switch for having the speed &maneuverability of a pwc combined with the capacity and stability of a tritoon (or pontoon), criticize it because it doesn't also have the looks of a traditional boat, the durability of Old Ironsides, and the price of a bass boat.

Will the composite structure hold up as well as aluminum when striking a dock or shore? What will repairs cost? How noisy is it when trolling?

Ok, I just was at the boat show today and there’s a button that reverses the propulsion system and clears the intake. Insanely handy, because you don’t want to be up under the boat all the time trying to clear the intake.
But it’s still more of a risk than a normal prop motor.

I'm looking for a smaller fishing boat, I do mostly lakes but have properties on the FL coast too, so this seems like the cool toy! Seems like SeaDoo thought of everything and evolved with the times too. The only thing I could think of adding is a bait live well, and maybe spot lock but those can be added on from other manufacturers.

I love seeing all the ole timers complaining about it and stating they'd be embarrassed being seen on it 😅 meanwhile the rest of us see the potential for actual fun watersports at the lake! And people saying it's slow? 45mph in the water is not slow. Sure it'll be slower loaded up and with the average family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids... But it'll be plenty fast. This is not in the same market as an antiquated pontoon. Many of us have never even considered a pontoon until THIS
The smaller ones specifically are not huge party pontoons, so why the comparison from the nay sayers? Because they're haters hahahaha

Agree, these are WAY WAY overpriced. I'm not paying 30K for a PWC with a plastic dock wrapped around it. I saw one last year and the build quality and materials are shockingly bad. Got ours (the Sport Compact 13ft) in November, and spend time out most weekends in Port St. Lucie. This thing zips around nicely with the whole family of 4, and is very maneuverable. One thing I heard a lot on RUclips when we were researching was the point about needing to provide input to steer. While this is true when going at speed, I would note that you can still steer in Neutral - the Switch will pivot like a top, which combined with the braking feature, makes it very easy to squeeze into tight spaces on the public docks. Also, if you get the bluetooth speaker add-on, save yourself the hassle, and unplug it as part of your launch/trailer routine. I found the below video showing how to. ruclips.net/video/awfTw5QvBS0/видео.html I found the video after I ended up with a dead battery after two weeks between trips.

2 year owner of a switch 230 sport and regret buying it. The trailer brakes malfunctioned in less than 350 miles and not under warranty. 150 of those miles were to and from a good but far away dealer because my local dealer sucks and refused to honor the service contract, sold my accessories to other customers and tried passing off used accessories to me as new ones. The radio amp killed the battery. The amp and harness were warrantied but not the battery. The dealer refused to honor my service contract. They built too many of them in 2024 so that the value is now down 10K so I can't sell mine without loosing 1/3 of the supposed value. The mooring cover holds water and the straps tear off. There's no factory service manuals available so once it's out of warranty you're screwed. Mine took 4 tanks of gas before it started running like it should as if it was in some kind of break in mapping. If you remove the wake board mast you need a big rubber mallet to hammer it back into place.

What kind of gasoline does it use? No Ethanol? if I took it out for a "day on the lake" say 4-8 hours, what kind of money does it cost to operate?
Just trying to understand if it's efficient like a 4 stroke engine, or if it's going to be like the Chris Craft 28' 350 GM motor I grew up on that even then costed $200 to run for a day...couldn't imagine the costs now.

We dont have those numbers. However any jet drive will always be harder on fuel than a four-stroke.

Looks neat in the Gulf with NO WAVES, so I wonder how it handles in the oceans and places with waves.

Can you take your 21ft and convert it to a 18ft or 13ft yourself? Or buy the sections to extend a smaller one?
Can you move the steering into the center? That is how I want mine to be customized. If all you can move are the seats...bleh
