I have watched 5 reviews on this and no one mentions the Bimini top when not in use. I found out that the top down goes forward and you basically have to duck under it in the down position it's in the way. So you must have it up to get the most out of the deck space. That is a bad design in my opinion fix that and this thing is a big winner
Ok Im in the market for one and I was looking at this it is great for what I want to use it for but my main concern was the flapping noise as soon as I saw those i was concerned but you cleared that right up THEY DONT FLAP!! Yay!! Thats great to hear
I'm planning my first boat purchase. I really like these for price point and features. Is it made with salt water in mind ? I'm wondering if it needs any special treatment to prevent salt corrosion
Looks like a very cool unit. The one thing I would be worried about is how UV resistant all that plastic is? Looks to be the same as the spark which looks like crap after 2 years. Time will tell.
I detail vehicles as a hobby and I’ve found that chemical guys new car trim dressing works fantastic as a conditioner and sunblock for all the black plastics. Really helps restore that wet dark shine. A little goes a long way. Id probably give it a quick wipe down with that stuff a few times a year.
Excited to say I'm getting the sport 18ft for family fun and I personally can't wait to put to my fishing challenge and I have no doubt it's going to be an amazing machine point blank, have a Blessed day everyone
The should have put a gasoline proof fuel bib on that cap so gas doesn't spill on the cloth zipper piece. At first I wasn't sure about these as I have a speedster 150 255hp but the more I see them the more I like. I'll wait for a couple of years until they work out any bugs or offer more HP for this model.
We beached it a few times, it just depends where you’re beaching soft white beach sand or an area with tons of shells and rocks you have to be cautious when beaching any watercraft
Hey man thanks for all your videos on the switch very awesome! Can you tell me what the total length is with trailer? Do you think the swim deck will be optional for 13ft model?
What are your true thoughts on the clear vinyl sides? Damage easy or have long term durability potential? Are the toons chambered or is it one open toon??? With 5 people on board does it sink down low in the water or is it buoyant???
How is this in tight shallow spots? I'm thinking for spearfishing and snorkeling this might be really good for getting off and on the boat. Looks like you could carry 3 divers and a spotter with ease, and with the range just from your two days of booting around should be more than sufficient for exploring nooks and crannies on small islands etc. Might even be decent for scuba diving if she'll handle swells okay, and cats, or tri-hulls are known for being stable, what was your experience like?
Only problem right now is that you can't find one for sale! Dealers have already presold their allotment and the Compact probably won't be available for a year!
Hey!! Just wanted to know. How high is it about with the trailer? Trying to get one and I’m wondering if it can fit in my garage. I know it fits length wise just need to know how high it is to see if it will clear the garage door
will it fit, with the bimiini down, with my 6'8" garage clearance height? Or will the Bimini need to be removed completely? I saw this question posed before, but no answer.
Looks awesome! Do you need to hold the throttle down while using cruise control? Hand fatigue is thing on my seadoo especially when going long distances so grip free control would be nice like a normal pontoon boat say.
OK so you answered one question I had with the IDR because lake I go to sometimes has a lot of debris when it goes up and down. So did you have to use it at all? Do you know if it is a stainless steel impeller? I had to replace my plastic one on a spark since it got damaged with debris. Are there any side gates to go on it? How about the stern? Since this looks like a fairly short so how did it handle chop? Did it nose dive at all going over other boat wakes? Did you have to hold the handlebars when on cruise?
Can I get one in Camo for duck hunting? Maybe NO bimini top. Just some Camo and cat tail netting over the rails. The lay down area looks like a very comfortable shooting position.
Those shocks in the back are actually small trim tabs with shocks built in. I’m assuming they were engineered like that so they wouldn’t sheer off when you launch off 10’ wave . Also the jet has has a trim system . That "plastic stuff " is either 30 or 40 mil. clear vinyl . Again I am assuming that bombardier manufactures their own . Last but not least it’s not a pontoon , I would consider it a tri - hull configuration . I have owned quite a few can -am , sea -doos over the years and they build a great product . I bet no one knows they built m-x bikes in the 70’s .
Thank you so much for the detailed video! I love that colour and shorter length! Do they make a camper enclosure for the compact length, or just the longer versions?
One downside of this vessel, once you launch your boat at the ramp and someone is standing on the dock holding the rope ,HOW DO THEY GET ONBOARD there is no side door and anyone without jumping legs won't take the chance to jump from the dock unto the deck.
OK finally a channel that allows comments about this I love the look of it I love the performance but my concern is what about boatlifts? My family has a lake place and I don’t believe this would work on the current boatlift we have I don’t think it work at all due to where the engines are or in this case engine so what’s the deal with that? What would somebody have to get which would be another five grand
Thanks for the video. Any idea if you can add a swim platform to the compact version? I know it comes on the larger models but would be great to have on the compact.
This is also the only video I've seen someone show it comes with a rear tow point ... before this I though you HAD to get the platform and add the pole .. I just want to tow tubes .. Great/Best video I've seen ... thank you ! Any idea on when these will start trickling out and available to buy ??
You can order at anytime, but units won't be delivered until summer of next year. My order confirmation says July 30 2022 but my dealer says he thinks it will be sooner
My wife and I just ordered and 18 sport 230. We can’t find an answer about if it come with the anchor or any other safety equipment (I.e. fire extinguisher etc). Mike from the same dealer you got yours told me I should reach out to you. Thanks in advance. Videos are great!
@@ericporter2373 yeah it’s 249 on the site plus we get 10% off at our dealer too but there’s a video where the commentator says it includes a standard marine anchor/chain and 150’ of line. I called BRP, they emailed me back a few days later and they don’t even have the answer. So if fl ski riders purchased one maybe he could give me some insight.
@@bd7159 yeah, I think dealers learning along with us. I ordered mine last week and same, dealer gave me 10 percent off accessories but anchor was an option I paid for. I'll have to look at my paperwork on the fire extinguisher.
@@ericporter2373 I know we started putting a list together. We’re gonna swing for 2 sets of the linq fenders and I’m guessing extinguisher doesn’t come with it. I know I could save a few bucks on that and the boat oars but honestly I like that everything has its own integrated storage like the paddles from brp lock into a holder and the extinguisher under the seat. I asked another question about the trim tabs but after zooming in on a picture they have no wiring so I can see they are just absorbers. But on a tri toon they will still help a lot.
Great pontoon sea doo switch sea doo has done it again folks great video !!! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
After owning a dozen boats I believe the Switch series will be a hit!
Totally agree, honestly the steering was the best part, it was so fun having that type of steering on a boat

Honestly this this is amazing, starts at a obtainable price point as well.
Mini pontoon boat with a jet drive...I can dig it.

It's about time the jetski grew up .
I’m gunna get one of these for my kids when I have them
Could a pedestal fishing seat be installed in the front? And a trolling motor?
I’m thinking could potentially be a perfect fish/tube family fun boat.
That thing is cool as hell love it

Nice! Been waiting on this walk-through!
I am in LOVE this is the Jeep of Ponton Boats I am buying one next summer at any cost.
Could you do a video about flushing the Switch?
How is this switch holding up? I really want one but want to see how they are holding up after a year in the water
would make a great fishing machine if you could add a trolling motor
I never wanted a boat until i seen the switch.
It’s so much fun!
I'm still wondering about beaching it. How much damage would be done.
We beached it a few times, it just depends where you’re beaching soft white beach sand or an area with tons of shells and rocks you have to be cautious when beaching any watercraft
Whats your thoughts and opinion of getting the ski pylon? Worth it or is the back attachment gunna be good enough?
Ski pylon is nice, we did not use it when we went tubing.
How fast?
I used to have a 4 man jet boat and loved it. Also how many riders?
Thanks for the video. Can this model pull a wakeboard? Does it have a rail above to tie a rope to?
This is badass! Chris and I should get one!
Do it!!! It was such a fun ride
Man, if you could throw 20+ rod holders on that it would be sick
Can the swim platform be added to the compact model?
What about fishing in the boat, is it good for that or only having fun on the water?
I notice a model that came with a mesh camp net to protect you against mosquitoes. Is that only for certain models?
Hey man thanks for all your videos on the switch very awesome! Can you tell me what the total length is with trailer? Do you think the swim deck will be optional for 13ft model?

Watercraft Journal said the toon are foam filled.
And in 3 sections
How does it tow? Is there a cover while towing and how does the shade stow?
Looks like a super fun boat to have
Options to have a table on it?
Maybe a trolling motor up front?
Seat post for up front to fish?
Yes there is table option, not sure about trolling motor or seat post.

What’s the height with trailer with Bimini up and down? Thanks. Great video!!
I’m a Yamaha jet boat owner SX230HO but I’m leaning towards the 21 ft seadoo
Hey!! Just wanted to know. How high is it about with the trailer? Trying to get one and I’m wondering if it can fit in my garage. I know it fits length wise just need to know how high it is to see if it will clear the garage door
Something like 8 1/2 feet. Very tall.
I ordered the 21 footer , my question is about a boat lifts , what kind of boat lift will this need given it is a tritoon.. any suggestions?
I see this and instantly want to add another 50hp lol turbski
How about a video of using it around docks to show how it works in tight spaces.
It maneuver is excellent, it turns on a dime and very easy to maneuver in tight spaces
This is a cool little boat
So much fun we had a blast
will it fit, with the bimiini down, with my 6'8" garage clearance height? Or will the Bimini need to be removed completely? I saw this question posed before, but no answer.
Have you used it for fishing and how was it? How did you clean the Switch afterwards please make a video for these. Thanks
Yes, was great!!!
What is the Miles Per Gallon on this Compact Unit??
Looks great
How does it do on the golf? And on rough waters??? Plzzzzz do a video with it in the water!

Yes it does have true hands-free cruise control
Turn cruise on and hit the button...its that easy
Looks good on that trailer, but does it float?
Floats great! Watch the other videos
What are pontoons made out of. What's the draft in the water? Wondering how shallow of water it can safely go.

No nose diving at all, it handled great in chop and gets on plane fast! IDF is a must
Seats comfortable?
It is possible to carry more then 5 adults? Or is that a realistic limit?
After a year has anything happened to boat repair wise?
Can you answer the question?
Can I get one in Camo for duck hunting? Maybe NO bimini top. Just some Camo and cat tail netting over the rails. The lay down area looks like a very comfortable shooting position.
How are you currently storing your Switch Sport Compact? On a drive way, storage facility etc
Currently it’s at our warehouse but we will be posting a video of it sitting in a standard size garage very soon
Awesome walk through! Can't wait to get one as well.
Would you happen to know it's storage dimension.
Do you know the trailer length to fit in a garage or how many feet the garage had to be?
Looks like the anchor light port directly interferes with the tow point.
Probably on purpose, shouldn't be towing people at night.
Lol, you may be correct
Can you park in 2car garage

Can the rear swim platform be added to the sport compact?
Great question, we’ll answer ASAP
Yes, its an option on the build page.
@@FloridaSkiRiders Yes its on the sea doo website build page.
Is there any cabin lights or dc power besides the one shown on the helm?
how stable on ocean, how fast and do you need to take some type of marine class to operate >??
Hopefully they’ve fixed the issue with the IDF.
It’s be corrected on all new Sea-Doo as well as Switch
They need to put the big seadoo engine , 300 hp , if it did 60+ mph I would buy one
Thank you so much for the detailed video! I love that colour and shorter length! Do they make a camper enclosure for the compact length, or just the longer versions?
Yes they have a full enclosure
No they don’t make the camper enclosure for the compact sport.
Unfortunately no camper enclosure for the compact.
Can i get one with the new mercury V12 on the back?
This loos sweet. I'll buy a used one in a couple years after depreciation sets in, as what tends to happen to pontoons.
How is it pulling tuber(s)? and what kind of wake does it put out?(like good for jumping for wakeboards?
Thanks for like, but can you reply?
No galvanized option for the trailer for salt H2O?? What's the total weight of the boat and trailer??
Not sure if this will be an option.
One downside of this vessel, once you launch your boat at the ramp and someone is standing on the dock holding the rope ,HOW DO THEY GET ONBOARD there is no side door and anyone without jumping legs won't take the chance to jump from the dock unto the deck.
How do you think this would handle on a river. What is the water depth sitting VS on plane?
This would perform perfect on rivers and we were able to take it in about 4 feet of water with no issue
Does the trailer come standard with the spare tire?
How long do you run the motor out of water?
Never unless flushing it for 30-40 seconds
I heard that the 100 horse and the 170 were the same motors just with a tune. Might save the 5 to 8 grand and just get the 100 horse and riva tune it.
I can see RIVA definitely working on some type of tunes for these
@@FloridaSkiRiders both have the same ace 1630 engine so i bet all they did was tune it and trying to gouge folks a lot of money for that 70 horse.
Has the same engine as my fish pro 170 all can be tuned
My guy is ceo of “nav lights”.
What’s the storage length on the trailer?
Hope they have gotten the IDF problem fixed. Looks nice, but not sold on it.

Not sure, try looking on Sea-Doo website. We’ll try and find out as well
Can you beach it like a regular pontoon or does the middle section keep you from it? Also is it that polytec plastic stuff?
What is the total length of the Sea-Doo on the trailer, as if hopefully fit in my garage.
Height will be your issue
