I saw an earlier post of yours in which you made reference to chop. The chop was not obvious to me and I commented on it, based on my experience owning a 41-foot sailboat that I used to sail off San Diego. Anyway, in this video the chop is readily apparent and the boat handles it nicely. I love the way you highlight the family fun you’re having. This video is better than any PR piece Sea-Doo could do. Well done, sir.
I think the most surprising thing about the Switch is just how well this little compact corners and handles moderate chop. Not a big water boat by any means but it should be able to handle anything you'd encounter on most lakes. The hull is really more of a jet ski with outriggers than it is a pontoon. Thanks again for the videos!
It’s so much fun!! Corners hard and accurate also gets back on plane within 3-4 seconds

We were supposed to have at our recent ride in destine, shipping was a little delayed
1:42 has me concerned about the rigidity of the drivers console. You can clearly see it bouncing back around. And since the boat is made of practically plastic/fiber blend, there is nothing solid like metal for it to mount to that will keep it from doing this. My concern is with constant jerking and hitting large wakes, overtime it will weaken the plastic below and become more and more elastic possibly cracking or snapping off. Its not like a jetski where the center of gravity is low. The center console is top heavy
It’s actually not that bad we were a little concerned with it at first it’s actually held to the base very well we didn’t have any concerns with it, Will post a video of how it’s attached

I started with the 100hp 18 foot package which was $6000 less then 170hp then added two extra seats the double Bimini and full camper enclosure and a few other things with a $4000 less total build price then the 170hp and I have a couple more accessories.
I don’t think I need the 170hp, I can always flash the motor to 170hp after the warranty if I need more power, but it supposedly does 26-30mph on the 100hp and that’s good enough for us, we have 260hp GTX limited for speed
That’s a lot of money no matter what

I'm all about fun for all, or at least more. Makes little sense to have a couple skis that everyone waits around to share.
i ran into the same problem i had 1 ski and after a month no one wanted to go with me to the lake so after 2 years of ownership and only 30 hours i sold it look forward to maybe oneday getting one of these when i can justify it
@@tranz15 My nephew brings his to every lake gathering of our large family. I don't even bother getting in line. And then, knowing you are on the clock with others waiting can spoil it for you as well.
Great videos. We want the compact but we definitely want a full enclosure and the swim platform but doesn’t look like they are offering either with the compact!

Wow !! This is going to fun for a family. I got a question for us fishermen. Do you think they can mount flounder fishing lights up around the front. Bright green lights for fishing at night. This would make a great flounder gigging on sand bars and shallow water. What's the draft sitting at.

My family and I are considering a Switch as a replacement to our recently sold boat. Fairly random question: can you reach the water flush ports from the deck of the boat? We are lucky enough to have a boat lift for storing it at the house, and I’m trying to envision coming back in, loading on the lift, and then doing the post-ride cleaning without being able to walk behind like if it was on the trailer. Thanks!

I'm glad I found this. I've been wondering how the switch would do running from FL to the Bahamas. I see lots of SeaDoos making this run, but have never seen a Switch do it.

What sort of fuel consumption are you seeing when just cruising around and hanging out on the water?
29 gallons depending on how heavy you are and the throttle will determine fuel consumption but we rode for two solid days on the full tank and ended the second day with one bar left

Could you comment if the Switch is a Seadoo Fish Pro killer? A video fishing in this Switch Sport Compact would be great. I guess the extra deck space for not much more money, will impact the sales of those Fish Pros PWCs. Thanks!
Not sure it’s a Sea-Doo fish pro killer because the fish pro would do really well offshore I’m not sure the switch would do very well offshore in high surf
My biggest complaint with these so far is the sizing and capacity. The 16' is the sweet spot for us as it would fit in the garage and carry 7 people. But you can't get the 170 HP motor or bimini top on the base model 16', and you can't get a 16' Sport.
The 18 foot sport is 16 foot. They add the length of the swim platform.
And there are 45 disliked because??? You have an amazing boat, a VERY enthusiastic boater who explain everything perfect along with beautiful water. What is there NOT to like.

Was there any issues with catching the handle bar when moving around the deck? Seems like it would be in the way compared to a traditional steering wheel.
Not at all it’s actually one Our favorite features it made the boat more fun and playful and had all the controls at your fingertips definitely did not get in the way

I’m subscribing. Can you share a video on how it steers in forward, reverse, and tight quarters. I wanna see all the advanced steering controls that a modern Sea-doo provides and how The driver uses them.

Do they have a platform to extend the front or put the door on the side im in a wheelchair and have always been around water and boats but unfortunately haven’t been in a boat for a while since Im in a wheelchair now a day this boat would be great because u can move seats around and take them out but didn’t know if they had something to make it possible to get into it

We’ve have 5 people and loaded down with cooler, gear and so on and it still got on plane quick and speeds around 42mph

How easy is it to climb back in the boat after being in the water? Looks like it may be tough to have to climb over the back rail and the cup holder.
29 fuel tank. what is the range on the pontoon? does the pontoon have accessories for fishing rod holder? or live well and bait cutting board? is fishfinder an option for add on? I am just thinking fishing in mind for the use of the pontoon.
I was about to put an order in on a Fish Pro... but this has my attention. How easy would it be to rig one of these for fishing? If there's a clean, easy way to mount a trolling motor, I'm in.

You only need the IDF when debris stuck in the intake,
yes you should definitely flush it after each use especially in salt water. The flushing cycle is The exact same as your Sea-Doo. Flush for 30-40 seconds and wash the entire boat down to remove salt

Fam of 4. Was lookimg at the 18' in case a couple friends want to come along. I figured the compact would get crowded.
So i made a build on a cruise 130hp and a cruise 170hp 18' . Saves about 5k. Do you think the 130hp would have trouble moving the boat?
That council sure bobbles around quite a bit.
It wasn’t that bad the camera doesn’t do it any justice and it’s secured to the Switch platform very good!

Yes I noticed the console bouncing around also. It makes me wonder if this is a weak spot for the boat which may require a recall in the future. It seems as if you hit some serious wakes and cause it to jerk really hard it will break. It also appears that there is no metal whats so ever on this boat. Its either plastic, fiberglass or a blend of both

It’s plastic. No bottom paint needed. Power wash it.

The lounge Area is actually very comfortable and put you right next to the water it’s actually pretty cool

Watching this vedio ,I noticed while the camera view was from the front looking backwards, the helm was bouncing really bad . So how secure it it long term 🤔
