    Literally bought a switch 230 because of your channel. After owning multiple bass boats, pontoons and a ski boat, the switch wins. It's big enough for friends, big enough for camping, small enough to tow with a cheap truck and powerful enough to tow tubes and be fun to drive. All for under 50k. Exactly what I needed. Thank you! Traded in three boats after watching your videos for this thing and could not be happier.

    I have a 2021 Seadoo GTI SE 170 with a 15.9 gallon tank, and I havent done a real specific test to empty, but I have ridden enough to estimate 75 miles range at cruising speed of 45-50 mph. 200lb rider and light chop, trim up. Seems like they made the switch fuel tank large enough to probably get around that 70 mile range too, like the skis. Looked like Alvean had trim in the middle and nice cruising speed of 30 with some slower speeds occasionally.

      Compared to your traditional pontoon with the same size and hp. The switch seemed quicker and definitely a lot easier to handle.

      Search sea Doo switch speed test on RUclips. You can see exactly how fast it accelerates.

    30mph not bad for a 21ft with the 170. Wonder if its tuned differently than the 170 on the compact...

      The max speed I have gotten is 34-35mph. I didn’t want to ride full throttle to save fuel for testing.

    Would you take this on your trip from Miami to Bimini? I've been trying to figure out if I want to buy two skis or the Switch. Any info will help! Can the switch handle the ocean? 🌊

      We’ve had one ordered since Sept’21, with original delivery date of Jun’22.
      Sea-Doo just pushed out a notice of 6-8wks delivery delay due to supply chain issues and labor shortage.

    Can anyone tell me how long the trailer is?

  • @ATLOffroad
    @ATLOffroad 2 года назад

    Thanks for calculating the distance. How long did you ride? 4-5 hours of driving? I kind of calculate my fuel on just how many hours we are out on the water. My boat is usually good for 6 hours unless I’m really pushing it to go somewhere fast.

    • @AlveanAzurin
      @AlveanAzurin  2 года назад +1

      It’s kinda hard to calculate based on how many hours because some boaters just drop anchor on the lake or go to hang out on sandbars. So if that’s the case one full tank can last days to weeks. The duration it took for this video should be at the end of the relive video, accounting for stopping to film and stopping at Oneals.

    I think it would be difficult to add gas while out on the water. The fuel inlet is located between the drivers console and side skirting (seen here ruclips.net/video/0mrAzm73Y80/видео.html). Trying to get your portable tank to that inlet would be a challenge.

      Would definitely need a container with a hose cap so you don't need to hang over the side

    That’s shocking 102ltr of fuel to go 67.4 miles a ski would do that on 50 ltr or a bit more , we do litres in the uk by the way , 102ltrs x £1.80p =£183.60p

      Pontoons are not built for efficiency. They are cruising boats.
