New viewer here. Incredibly entertaining: you’re funny, you used like 58 different techniques, your project’s “ugly phase” lasted way longer than I thought could possibly work, you put toys in your toys as well as horns on your horns, you actually made the most amazing face sculpt. Like I didn’t even realize it was a face for 60% of it. I was so invested the whole time!! 🔥🔥🔥
    PS- burgeeguhduhgeese 😂

Yup. Toys make for great figure material. I'm currently finishing the paint job on my Nurgle daemon prince (that looks similar to a great unclean one) and his legs are taken from the hind legs of a rubber ankylosaurus toy.
(Let me know if you wanna see it SB) ;)

  • @Suiberis

Nice work. I've often used bootleg or broken toys from second hand stores for kitbashes and scratch builds myself. Sometimes an articulated figure is just a better armature than wire, especially if you're short on things for adding bulk.

The shape of the model is really professional, lightyears ahead of your last attempt, the pose is also really dynamic! I think your organic models have a bit too much roughness in the texture, I think if you tone that down a bit and don't use drybrushing as your base shading technique it would be a master piece... Maybe softer shading by layers of glazing or contrast paint like consistency and/ or airbrushing could work?
