@@PeteTheWargamer I realy like the moment that you made it a living sphere of changing flesh with eyes!!! This matches with changes and metamorphosis part of Tzeentch lore that all those birdy stuff
Honestly, I'd like to see more kitbashes on this sort of level, letting us see things we've never seen before. Rather than just a sort of guide on how to make something else. I wanna see your true skill as a miniature artist.
Absolutely... I just happened upon this channel and this is some of the most creative work I have ever seen in miniature creation. If this is not normal for this channel I certainly think it should become more normal XD
Real talk, Pete is next level with using scratch material, kitbashing, sculpting, and on top of that utilizing his painting techniques and schemes that compliment the completely new miniature in a way that I haven't seen before. Not only that, but there is a recognizable level of personality in his paint schemes that I enjoy coming back to. I haven't even played Warhammer, I just watch his channel for the artistic endeavors
While all of them are amazing, the Tzeench and Nurgle ones are a lot more unique imo. While im not a fan of Nurgle or the plague marine aesthetic at all, what he did with the Nurgle one is just so unique in mixing the mech/bio elements. The fact that the mech legs are just poking out of the flesh in a complete jumble makes it so authentic to the lore in my view.
Idk man, the Tzeentchian one is my personal favorite, and I don't wanna down on the dude but I'm not a huge fan of the nurgle one, although it's all amazing work
in terms of future kitbashes - you could go through the spare bits that no doubt have reached mountainous amounts over the time you've been in custom modeling and make yourself a custom monster by just ramming bits together until they look intimidating
really love these chaos kitbashes. imo many chaos minis as they are by default are unfortunately often too same-y and end up lacking the unpredictable chaos of chaos
These additions to the Nurgle and Tzeentch ones are inspired ideas (I do feel like an ork could've been used for the Khorne one tho). I'd love to see more chaos conversions, like daemon princes for each god. The normal one is too plain, kinda more Khorne-like, and Nurgle has its own, but you can clearly come up with something much better. Also, I'd love if you could do a Thousand Sons conversion using a Curseling from AoS. A sorcerer using that model would be pretty cool!
Randomly stumbled upon this video, instantly enjoyed it! I only know Warhammer from the video games, i'm normally not into figures at all, but despite that this was still very interesting and makes me think i missed out in the past. Love seeing the detailed process and the end results. You describe it calmly and without any unnecessary hyperbole and still bring the passion across.
I love how, despite being in WHF, the soul grinders still look mechanical. It’s super cool, and reminds me of the early drafts of Middle Earth, which made the evil industry of Mordor even more obvious with mechanical monsters.
Honestly I love both these gigantic kitbash projects and some of the smaller stuff you do, but what I would love is another round of Custom Chapter Space Marines/Chaos Space Marines, maybe with the twist that you can only use bits chosen at random by someone else for your kitbash.
Honestly Pete, you are ridiculously good! Your talent with sculpting is immense and have the painting skills to magnify it. Super impressed and looking forward to your next project!
It doesn't get cooler than this in the Warhammer hobby. Very much in favor of continuing to get more of these giant projects interspersed with the smaller ones so we can all live vicariously through you.
Absolutely incredible. Just magnificent. My only critique is that you left the chaos undivided symbols on the leg joints. I feel like soul grinders dedicated to a specific god wouldn't be very "undivided"
These all are absolutely INCREDIBLE! Well done in the conversions and paint jobs. Really made each model come to life and represent their patron dark god

8:47 Hey Pete, small tip for the spaghetti. Try holding them vertical in the centre of the pot and give them a little twist before letting go. Then after a few seconds bend the part in water to fold all of them inside. I hope this helps ^^
The Tzeentch and Nurgle ones are some of my fav models of all time, The eyes staff and more sinew-y body are such an improvement from the base model imo, and I adore the idea of the nurgle one scooching across the ground his legs barely able to transport his fecundity
Perhaps a seperate video for the painting part if you do something like this again? This was one of the most satisfying videos I've seen period. Obsessed with your channel.
The eyes make the Nurgle and Tzeentch conversions so cool! I love the masked Khorne and Slaanesh ones as well, but I'm a sucker for extra or weirdly placed eyes
I am so unbelievably impressed by how perfectly themed these are! My favorite builds of yours are always the ones that involve heavy sculpting, and these came out absolutely stunning, especially the Tzeentch and Nurgle versions. Amazing!
It's my headcanon now that these were once greater demons that had their wings and legs removed as punishment and were attached to soulgrinders. Sort of like a chaos penitent machine in a way. Great video always love the really imaginative kitbashes you do!

Part of the reason I love Daemons so much is the endless capability for customization. Unlike so many other factions which have such defined and cultivated aesthetics, the absolute chaos of Daemons means anything is on the table
Gods damn that great unclean soul grinder is beautifully built. The amount of visual storytelling from the legs oozes the struggle of the machine to support that massive mound of bloated rotting flesh.
What I love about the demon forge is even soulgrinders that might be aligned to a chaos god, it’s more that they are either gifts, or demons from that god that’s in hella debt to the forge
Those are amazing but i would consider redoing the eyes of the tzeentch version. They all look straight ahead, I think the model would be perfected if they looked with different angles... should also look way creepier
Amazing work as usual. Pete, combine about 1/5 milliput to 4/5 greenstuff for a putty that takes angles a lot better than greenstuff alone & can be sanded if required.
I usually just use uv resin for eyes. Take some parchment paper and put dots of resin down and harden. Slimmer shape than a ballbearing giving the illusion that the eye is more imbedded in the body. Currently making a biblically accurate angel so this has been my bread and butter for making it ^^
I love these, they are awesome!! I said on the poll the otherday you needed to do more TW conversions and you didn't disappoint!! Anything like this is a good idea, keep up the great work!

These are great; however, I, now, what to see what Pete made with the Daemons' legs. That Avatar head on the Keeper of Secrets is stonking.
