Also I really love your choice of the helmet, those drukhari masks are still my abolute favourite ones out of all 40k minis.
Sanguinius strikes me more as chaos undivided but damn you can’t argue with the results! Awesome conversion and I do really like the idea of the perfect son rotting away.
Some spoilers about the plot of The End And The Death Volume II came out recently, and there is said that Horus wanted Sanguinius to be a champion of Nurgle. So I gladly inform you, that now this model is connected with the canon even more!
I think this looks great, you could have pushed the Nurgal aspect a little further by having his armor leaking fluids from the seams in the armor plates but I'm not sure it would have actually looked better.
This is absolutely fantastic, I'm blown away. I never really got Nurgle Sanguinius from the Dornian Heresy, I think he works better as Slaanesh in some of the others. This is the first time I've been able to picture him and think "Okay, this makes sense to me."
I can't remember if Poorhammer or Adeptis Ridiculous explained it, but basically it was the idea of the physical perfection of Sanguinius being corrupted with plague and deformation.
@@frawgenstein8522 Yeah I get why they went that route, it just never really fit in my head. In a setting that at the end of the day revolves around Cool Stuff, I couldn't picture it. Now I can and it's awesome.

Wow that model is amazing. I was a little skeptical because bright gold doesn't usually scream Nurgle. But that finished product proved me wrong. I would love to see a Roboute Guilliman so obsessed with preparing and planning for the future he falls to Tzeentch. Maybe an extra head and a corrupted codex Astartes.
The Sanguinius is obviously amazing, but I just want to congratulate you on the base. The slimy tentacles, the drama of the disappearing hand and the fantastic colours! Crazy good!
Ah, my 2 favorite factions, brought into 1. Thank you Peter the War Gamer. I do think it would be cool to see Commander Dante: Champion of Nurgle, AKA Dante if he took the role of Typhus.
I wasnt sure about the choice of the kit at first, but you definitly nailed it, it is such a cool looking character ! I think this would made an AWESOME chaos prince/lord, or a DnD boss, the mini has so much personnality !
Masterful work. Your conversion (rightfully) gets most of the attention but I am constantly blown away by the simplicity of your colour scheme choices and how cohesive it ends up looking.
This is definitely my favorite kitbash of yours. Period. And that's saying a lot. It's absolutely stunning, and the way you turned a a base model of Katakros into an instantly recognizable Sanguinis is crazy to me. Well done, and keep up your Dornian Heresy conversions! They're all awesome!
This came out better than I expected but to be honest I don't get Nurgle Blood Angels. They would obviously be Khorn, but I can see them as Slaanesh aswell, due to their "beauty" and angelic perfection.
I'd love to see Dornian Ferrus Manus! Unless he still just dies early in the Dornian Heresy? Still, a fusion of Manus and Necron would look great, especially if it manages to look biomechanical, rather than cybernetic. In regard to this model, though, i do think it would have been funny to paint the sinking marine as a death guard.
As an Iron Warriors fan I would love to see a dornian heresy Perturabo. Or... if you wanted to have a interesting build, and poke a bit of fun at another RUclipsr could make a chaos Valrak model? Could use a Dark Apostle as a base considering his love of talking about the glory of Dorn lol. That would be interesting to see :)
I would love to see his Khorne corrupted version of the Lion'el Heresy, as well as his Slaanesh corrupted version from the Roboutian Heresy. I think these are the ones that really fit for a corrupted version of both Sanguinius and the Blood Angels.
Magnificent as ever! At first I thought that Nurgle wouldn't make sense for Sanguinius at all but as I watched I thought more about Sanguinius's story and it made more sense. If you had the gift of foresight and saw all the terrible things coming your way to all your family and people, maybe the idea of stagnation and non-change would be an alluring escape from all of the awful things that are going to happen. It's okay to live in the now and let the burden of responsibility almost literally slough off of you. Don't know if you thought of any of that when building but either way it makes the conversion all the cooler to me! Awesome job!
Initially was disappointed that you followed the Dornian Heresy with Sanguinius turning to Nurgle, but this conversion was so good I had a complete 180. It's absolutely perfect and captures Sanguinius so well.

Love this, all your conversions are awesome but the Dornian Heresy has to be my favourites. I'd love to see a loyalist Lorgar, maybe based on Bastian Carthalos (if the model is the right scale) but regardless of who you pick I look forward to the next one.
this is maybe the coolest model i've ever seen. The narrative job behind the colour choice is striking, the overall effect truly is the one of a fallen angel of death. i love it so much.
Here's an esoteric Dornian Heresy idea, if Ultramar were to save Guilliman from his imprisonment on Terra what kind of armour would he have in M41-M42 considering the, err, 'tauification' of the legion?
Do Traitor Ultramarines, wich of course have to be tzeench! It looks so awsome, I thought blood angels would be khorn of course, but nurgle is also very nice.
Amazing work again. I’d love to see salamanders as some sort of black dragon hybrid using something from the lizard man range. I would love to see all these on a scenic base.
Incredible skills... and here I am, not having touched a single paint for one whole year beacause of a huge disappointment while painting my chapter master which let me unmotivated. Maybe one day the passion will come back. Hats off to you Pete you are incredible.
I was not sure how it would go with the base model but when you added the paint job everything went together amazingly. I don’t think people give enough credit to your painting👍
Awesome kitbash and paint job, can’t wait to see what primarch you’re doing next! Although I must admit I was somewhat disappointed you didn’t add any verdigris, I know technically it wouldn’t form but I think it would’ve added just a bright pop of blue to the armour that would’ve complemented the reds and browns of the rest quite well.
holy smokes, that's beautiful work. I've been looking for models that could work as a stand in for both Corax and Sanguinius. Good pick, and well done.
@@sergeyel5039 I think it would be really cool if it was a diorama with a Loyalist Thousand Son or Word Bearer who's surrounded by his dead brethren who have been slained by either a Daemon Corax who's bee mutated by Tzeentch and the Loyalist Marine faces against the Corrupted Raven Lord in heroic last stand
This is easily my favorite so far. You nailed this one. I've never felt like I wanted to make one of these, but I actually really want to make this one.
Just have to say that I really admire and enjoy your content. During all my years on RUclips, you are definitely the best content creator currently. Watched your channel for a long time and love the building and converting as well as the painting.
Fantastic video man but I gotta say, I think you missed an opportunity to add more green to the model itself. It's Nurgle afterall. Perhaps you could've made the staple crimson gemstones turn green as he was infused and corrupted by Nurgle's influence? Maybe a green wash for the armor? Idk man, without the base I don't think the obvious takeaway is "Nurgle corrupted Primarch".
I love the story this mini tells, the most beautiful of the primarcs who still tries to hold on to that previous prestige by hiding in his gorgious armor while being the harold of a disgusting god
can we please get Sanguinius as a prince of Slaanesh or Tseentch or Khorne next? Snaanesh woudl obviously want him for his beauty, Tzeentch for his winged mutation, and Khorne for the red thirst and black rage
would love to see u try and build a Psi-Dreadnought. A Psi-Titan in the size of a dreadnought. i think it would be a challenge since the only description i ever heard of is that they are sleek designed and not a lot of ornaments on it, but still give of a feeling of dread to anything Warp based. Leutin made a video on it some years ago and since then i wondered if the Astarted ever entombed a Psyker in a Dreadnought and he still had all his powers so no need for a lot of heavy guns since they could probaply turn some1 inside out with maybe some boost to psychich powers that the dreadnought could give
I really like this model, especially the armor and the spear! I've got an idea for what a Nurgle Sanguinius' hair and wings would look like; If loyal Sanguinius has angelic white dove-wings, then I think a Nurgle Sanguinius would be a more sickly kind of bird, and the sickliest bird I can think of is a carrion vulture. The black wings of your own paint scheme works fine, though I think the feathers could looks more busted and rattier - like roadkill. As for those luscious golden locks... take it all off! First off, we all know the rule: bald Primarchs = traitor Primarchs. But really, the most iconic vultures have bald, pink heads. For Sanguinius, I think this might manifest in a sickly radiation sickness look with almost all of his hair having fallen out with but a few strands left to sell the sickliness of Nurgle's love. Another reason I like Nurgle Sanguinius being a vulture as opposed to an angel, is because it also kinda plays into his legion's gene-flaw; loyalist Blood Angels are afflicted by the Red Thirst - the urge to consume blood - but a Chaos-corrupted Blood Angels legion would probably fully indulge into that borderline cannibalistic practice by just engaging in full-on cannibalism, descending upon the rotting corpses of fallen foes after a battle like real vultures descend on a carcass. ...You know, I never really liked the idea of Sanguinius being a Nurgle Primarch and always thought he'd be better with any of the other Chaos Gods, but now with this vulture comparison I've made, I actually really like that idea!

More, please more Dornian Heresy!) good work))
Which Dornian Heresy conversions would you like to see next?
@@ChaseDaOrk3767 I would really like to see Corvus Corax or Magnus the Red.
I think some patina coated gold armor would look pretty sick (no pun attended)
Great job on the miniature, it's always nice to see chaos shown differently.
Oh i love that mask! Saguinius being a Demon Prince of Nurgle is such a cool concept, i wish it was explored more in other Alternative Heresies.
Congratulations Pete, this is a superb conversion. Looks absolutely incredible. Great job.
This is absolutely outstanding! Such a great concept and you absolutely smashed it!
I would love to see ferrus manus he is one of my top 10, and I know he won't be given a model any time soon, so I would like to see him realized
This absolutely incredible! What a beautiful model!
would love to see u try and build a Psi-Dreadnought.
Came for the kitbash and stayed for the voice. Very soothing.
Amazing work and THE DOGS AT THE END MY GUY thank you
I'm a huge fan if these Dornian heresy kit bash!
Keep em' coming.
This is probably the coolest kitbash I have ever seen
Great work, Friend! I would love to see how you would tackle a Daemon Primarch Khan. (I think he fell to Slannesh.
Love your Dornian Heresy kitbashes, always an awesome finished product! keep it up Pete
Space marines also be like: "kill the mutants, exterminate the xeno's..... and purge the kit-bashing conversion youtubers"
I really like this model, especially the armor and the spear!
I've got an idea for what a Nurgle Sanguinius' hair and wings would look like;
If loyal Sanguinius has angelic white dove-wings, then I think a Nurgle Sanguinius would be a more sickly kind of bird, and the sickliest bird I can think of is a carrion vulture.
This would be a fantastic conversion for Mortarion in a foetid Seraphim army(Nurglite Blood 🩸 Angels)
Would absolutely love to see your collection of convirted models in one video
There's something truly unsettling about seeing specifically Sanguinius like this. Absolutely incredible work as always 🙌
Id love to see Loyalist Angron and Mortarion to contrast this kitbash and the Rus one!
For some reason he really reminds me of the clean rot knights from elden ring. Really cool
