I built a twinblade Warrior who went into Assassin, and between her Heroic Action, Cassia and her Heroic Action, I got up to around fifteen attacks per round for roughly 45 damage per hit.
I had Rogue trader for a while in my steam inventory. Only started playing cause this video. Turns out it’s a buggy mess right more hard crashed my computer many time just character creation. I fucking love Cassia one minute she's like super cute and shy and blushes when you tell her she's not a monster and then next conversation she's like "yeah fuck all these lower class peasants they talk all the time, can we have their vocal cords removed?" 😂
"I didn't know we had a cult on board" ... oh my sweet summer child, you don't have A cult on board, you have at least three, the DLC death cult, the Cult Mechanicus, and the Imperial Cult. Not to mention the various splinter-cults or voidborn hybrid cults that tend to form among the crew of starships.

I pulled the trigger on playing through RT myself a couple of months ago, and good LORD an expansion with another FIFTEEN HOURS of content!?! the game is already like 90 hours long! In my playthrough I mostly relied on Idira being a walking nuclear bomb while Argenta with cheerleader support from Cassia rolled around getting like 4 turns per round turning enemies to mulch.
Owlcat's last game was even worse for playtime, think I had over 130 hours on my first playthrough. About 70 hours in I got to perform a ritual to turn myself into a Lich and created an undead Kingdom to stomp on the demonic invasion. Their games are a lot of fun if you have a LOT of time on your hands lol.
That death cult assassin is so freaking strong. She can kill everyone in a single turn for a lot of encounters with the aid of Cassia and Pasqual's abilities. Extra turns and free movement from the blitz zone paired with some special equipment makes her into a blender that hops from person to person across the battlefield.
Have you played Mechanicus. Now THATS a fun game. Buffing a tech priest to the absolute pinnacle and blasting away. Rag doll physics and just hilarity. Really start to feel like a powder keg towards the end.
it is. if you're into warhammer already there's plenty to enjoy, but it can also be a great jumping in point. you can very easily interrogate the setting to get loads of lore and set dressing for chaos, aeldar, drukhari, the imperium at large, a little bit about space marines, etc. Just be warned that the voice acting is not a constant thing, so the game is a LOT of reading.
After my first playthrough of Rogue Trader at launch, I decided I wanted to do a psyker this time and go chaos. So, after I went through the talent list for a bit, I decided on a melee focused pyromancer who would light himself aflame for stupid amounts of damage. However, then upon coming to the first alignment choice, there was the option to light myself on fire to show my trust in the Emporer....and thus, the most passionately zelous chaos cultist of the Emporer was unleashed upon the galaxy, slicing daemons to ribbons and melting necrodemis with his mere prescence all while being shouting things so suspicious that the Interrogator who never left his active party believes him above reproach. Sometimes, it's not the bits you plan that make a story, but the small bits that get skewed and make a character something special.
Genuinely this is one of the games that I was on the fence about, because I didn't think it was possible to get the feeling of playing Rogue Trader right via computer. Not only was I wrong, but Cassia is the best wife and I ended my first playthrough in the best way possible by having an Iconoclast character that could basically go "How about we don't do stupid shit?" And people would listen, it was great.
Ita very refreshing that something in the setting finally acknowledges that the imlerium si a massive pile of shit, which doesnt take chaos corruption for someone to go against. How that thing hasnt collapsed into civil war a million times over is a mystery of bad writing.
8:40 "But that's not going to help against Idera's psychic yelling." I would have thought the total frontal lobotomy might have taken the edge off, but I guess not.
Having played through beyond this point. You really did a fantastic job touching on most of the really important stuff in the first chapter. Great video!
This is crazy but my buddies and I just started our own coop campaign before I saw this, it's really a fantastic game, and having 3 dogmatic commissars running around bypassing events by just killing everyone is great.
God, I forgot how many opportunities Rouge trader gives you to straight up execute your own party members. Later, when Idira is possessed, I ended up just shooting her and skipping that whole chapter/daemon fight. I never used her in my main party so I figured killing her when she was possessed was just efficiency.

I really loved the game and definitely recommand it! Most of the ennemies can be killed in one shot for glorious battles but I found out quickly that the game relies on boosting up loads of your stats for one attack and rinse and repeat...
If you do a followup video you should look at the dual eldar pistol build for one of the conpanions later on in the game. There's a couple trinkets that combined let you burst fire an entire pistol's ammo capacity multiple times while spending very little AP. The character is an officer too so during all of this they can give people extra turns
I can’t believe Hazzor is playing Rogue Trader, not that I am complaining of course! Personally, I am waiting for the second DLC to drop, which will probably take a while given that the first one just did.
