Hey folks, I hope you enjoy the convenience of these four videos being mashed into one whether you're rewatching this or new to the series. I'm well and truly getting back to work after the holidays and new year which brought with it a really quite frightening Tarkov addiction, so I'll have more lovely content of all different varieties for you very soon, now that the worst of the addiction has passed. The individual parts of this video were recorded over rather a long time, long enough to include two different microphones and a house move (Part 3 was recorded very shortly after the move so I didn't really have a good space setup yet) so apologies for any audio inconsistency, I've tried to balance them as well as possible.
There is something so cosmically tragic about Badger, at a young age, having to put corpses in a furnace and then her original psycast being death and the eventually fire.
Guess she never had much of a chance. But in-universe wise, I like to think she still had a choice of staying with the outpost or head-out seeking revenge.
I captured a slave, who was with my colony for yonks. He never tried to escape, and always helped out even in fights. He became such a stellar integration we started to feed him with meals that we all ate and even built a proper house for him. Just as we lay the foundations of the building, the final corner piece is being done, he get's struck directly by lightning whilst moving his bed, I am supposingly thinking very happily, to his new home. He died instantly... The only person in Rimworld I have ever put effort and time into giving a proper burial. R.I.P you will be remembered, except your name as I forgot it.
"Look at little baby Badger just being a baby over here. I'm sure there are no untold horrors waiting for her in the future". That's hittin reaaaaaal different now lol
Unironically this is a story about survival, anger, retribution & the cold that overtakes the vengeful after they’ve exacted their revenge. She lost everything & everyone seeking the cold hate that gave her life meaning. Badger hold forever.
[Several Years Pass, many many winters...] "Hm? the ruins? ...You mean Badgerhold? ...Ah yes, you were nary a glint in the eye of your parents parents..." *the person sighs softly* "...yes well, Badger's Hold is an accursed place and most tribes know to not venture into the ruins of either settlement. Oh yes, there is two...the ancient village is the other location that most dare not visit." *the person would look up, shocked to hear the question* "...Child are you a yearling? that dosn't matter now, the reason we dont venture into these settlements to reclaim them is...well due to the tragedies that occured, the lands be cured with an insect plauge and the Wraith of Badger the Firewitch. If the bugs dont smell your supple flesh through the ground and tunnels, well...The Firewitch will burn you slowly from the inside out if you displease her. Some die swiftly, like how the firewitch dispatched of the Enus Empire in her own time...most die slowly for disturbing her tranquil but wrathful rest." *the person would shake his head, remembering the lone time they stepped into Badgerhold...and barely survived* "...Get some rest now, this time of night is no place for the young to wander...lest The Firewitch start to roam for new targets..."
Considering Badgerhold was destined for war crimes (in its name) it committed very few if any. No slavery, cannibalism and no drug of arms dealing. Good job Hazzor on making a (slightly) morally correct medieval village.

And the ending was poetic (when you lose your heart, no matter what you achieve, you lose). It's so good!!!!
I choose to believe that Camcol saw badger and, realizing that he was indoctrinated by the enus empire, chose to die by badgers explosions without much resistance
I would like to imagine a sort of shadow of war story where camcol was either A. Mind controlled into servitude which also weakened him because he lacked free will, like he was gone and his body was being puppeted, B. Camcol was broken by watching everyone die and then corrupted by the empire through magic and pain, he then fought badger but maintained just enough of himself to hold back and let her kill him. Lol
Honestly, this was the part that left me the most heartbroken, wonderful storytelling, no doubt, but god damn…. Having to slay the biggest and most prominent member of your faction, who was now on the side of the very faction that laid yours to ruin, whether he joined them through mind control, torture until his will was broken, or found a more human side beneath the opposing faction, that was….. that was a deep emotional wound after all that had transpired, made me wish that badger could have found peace… if only they had come back home in time….

i LOVE the format you make these RimWorld videos in dude. it reminds me of when my dear Great Grandfather, may his kind soul rest in peace, sat down by the bedside when we went on trips to his Cabin, and started telling me amazing stories he spun from just his imagination alone! i LOVED his stories, and this reminds me of that so much it made me cry a little. seriously, thank you for reminding me about those important moments with the only person in my Family that i truly could talk with about literally anything. when me and him let our imaginations run wild together, it was the best times i ever had as a kid. if i had any money to give you, i would, as thanks for reminding me about my Great Grandfather.
What great storytelling and editing. I very much liked the whole thing and had to rewind when the first settlement suddenly got overrun. Then the two children survive alone only to continue the cycle of violence. Rimworld really is a story enginge in the hands of creative people! Keep it up.
Tragedies are important stories, as they can teach us quite a bit about ourselves and the world. There are only a few storytellers capable of creating grief within me, so you can imagine the catharsis this video gave me. Thank you, Hazzor. May Badgerhold hold strong in our hearts.
22:10 the pipe bomb was funny as hell. It reminds me of times when my pawns have decided to throw grenades directly at allies who were attempting a melee attack.
My most favorite run, I decided I was going to be cyber warriors enslaving the other settlements.... And then when I actually played it turned into a neanderthal tribal run, where all we did was smoke smoke leaf and drink cycloid tea and hold rituals. We built a gigantic square Cult compound, around that psychic tree or whatever, so it was in the middle of our cults compound, surrounded by a huge garden. Where we could trip balls and meditate, I find it funny how sometimes in rimworld just by playing the game and going with the flow, it will literally lead you to the antithesis of what you were hoping for, and you'll still enjoy it.
