    Hey Tina! Just a quick couple of tips if that's okay. Your apples are Browning like that because they are cooking for too long. Your 5 seconds in the hot water is good and if you wipe them right after quickly and add them to premade ice water they won't brown up like that. They will hold that beautiful color! Loved the tutorial. Thank you

    • @TinaSweetsFromHeaven

      Hello, These apples are not done the same day. I like to let my apples sit out for 28 hours. The longer they sit the browner they get. I only sit them in water if I need them that day to cool. When you don’t sit them out they get pin holes in them the next day. I have done it that way and I preferred them to sit out because your apples want Breakdown as quickly. The apples are still good in the inside. Thanks!!!

    Hey Tina, I’ve just started watching you & have attempted making candy apples before watching your videos, after I dipped my apples they were really pretty but became dull (what did I do wrong) also does adding the white keep the green from showing through the candy after I’ve dipped.... I did dip in hot water the day before as well as letting them sit...

    • @TinaSweetsFromHeaven
      @TinaSweetsFromHeaven  3 года назад +1

      Devonna Woodall Hello! Did you refrigerate your apples after they cool and bagged? If you use corn syrup you can always add a half teaspoon in your mixture at the beginning to give them a extra shine. Adding white do keep your apples from being transparent so you want be able to see your apple through the candy. Hope this helps!!!

But I have a question do you let the apple sit out on the counter for the 24-48 hrs or put them inside the refrigerator for that sitting time frame? Also do you put the sticks inside the next day to?

    how do you keep your candy syrup from hardening so fast? My boss has decided we are gonna be making candy apples. and I have been assigned the task [she wants them washed same day and dipped, and I cannot seem to move fast enough I guess

    • @TinaSweetsFromHeaven
      @TinaSweetsFromHeaven  3 года назад +2

      It’s best to color your mix before you start your mix to cook., That way you will have more time to dip them before your mix hardens. When I see that my mix is beginning to get hard I put it back on the Stove on low but it can burn easily so make sure it’s on low and if it looks like it’s starting to burn take it off and put it back on when it starts to hardens again hope this helps! Please Let me know if you have anymore questions and I have a lot of other candy apples tutorials that may help with some of you questions. You have to try both and see which one works best for you. I would recommend using the recipe with out corn syrup if this is your first time making candy apples.
