I've been hurt because I've had to use right handed tools and sometimes I wonder the statistics of left handed to right handed people being hurt using the same tool. I'd imagine I'm not the only left handed person who has had issues with some right handed tools.
I love mine and carry it every day in my right rear pocket next to my wallet. I just bought the new Imperial White version that came out for sale today from CRKT. It will be my Star Wars knife!

It is a karambit style folding knife. It is meant to be used in a downward, blade out grip as a slashing/stabbing weapon and has little to no utility. That ring is meant to be for your index finger when the knife is held like I described above.
Set up is nice. It has just enough curve and thickness of the blade to do good damage in a defensive situation.. It doesnt come very sharp from the factory but that can be changed.

I took the plunge and bought one. I love the fit and finish as well as the mechanics of the knife. I am going to try and make a Kydex sheath for belt carry or pack carry. I hate that I really want one. The ability to have an impact tool to use as a kubotan if needed, a one knuckle brass knuckles if you will, with the escalation potential of deadly force makes this a potent contender in fighting knives for EDC.
I take the thumb studs off because they accidently wave and they get in the way of the cut ! ! And I don't usually use them I just shake the blades out ! Or the (G) lock I just pull the lock bar !
I found these at Smokey mountain knife works for 200.00,I love the weight of it sn how it feels in the hands before purchasing it,awesome blade,so now I have to get one or two.

I got a cheap (fake) one from wish also. It's very poor quality but definitely a cool novelty knife. Would recommend getting the clone before buying the real thing, just to make sure you like the style.

It's a pretty slick little knife and fun to watch the person you hand it to who ask for a knife trying to figure out how to open it. Geometric nooooo...it needs an Emerson clip. So you could hook your finger through the loop and as you pulled it from your pocket it would open. Not sure exactly how you would do it but it could definitely use that feature.

They have the new white and black Storm Trooper version that just came out. I considered ordering one but it really isn't anything I would probably ever carry or use and CRKT really doesn't do anything for me. I don't get all the new expensive knives they are offering. I think they are made by Lion Steel for them using XHP, M390 whatever. I know its all premium materials and limited numbers but I can't see ever paying $300 or more for a knife with CRKT on the blade lol. If they wanted to start a more premium line why not have a separate company like KAI has Kershaw for the more budget level stuff and ZT for the higher end production knives. Kershaw has some better US made knives with the Launch and other knives though. To me most CRKT is basically gas station knives lol. I just don't see the people who collect CRKT being willing to pay a few hundred for another CRKT lol.

Careful when using the “wave” feature, it can actually cut you because of the way the kinematic action works

Karambit is definitely a fighting knife, I can't imagine using one as a utility knife.
My utility knives are my fighting knifes..... unless it is my leatherman.... that is just a multipurpose tool.
