Tiago JTP for its price, is insanely VFM. Wish we had the dark knight Punto Abarth here.
But abarth with ceat tyre and that power figure will definitely fall behind
It really needs better tyre for the amount of power it makes.
Apollo and MRF created special tyres for JTPs for Racing and Grip. If they used it here it would have won the test leaving that TSI far behind.

GDI and TSI are just something else, morever they weren't even factory tuned. JTP does its best of it's best but still provide a decent performance and power, but yeah the Abarth is a real legend.
Not surprised at all....it had to be the car with best TSI engine mated to a German DSG combo, this is hard to beat....
Surprisingly the Ecosport Ecoboost 1.0 was not part of the bunch...
exactly. The Baleno RS is still on sale. Out of the 1-liter turbo petrol engines, the Ecoboost is the most powerful one and delivers almost all of its torque at 1500rpm
The Baleno RS and Ecosport ecoboost are going to be discontinued as the BS6 norms come.
@arjun you are wrong about it. The Ecoboost engine is available in various cars in the global market, including Ecosport. The Ecosport is manufactured for the international market in India itself. Ford plan to continue the 1.0 in the international markets where they will have to meet Euro 5 norms. Mind you, the fiesta is one of the most sold cars in the UK and fiesta has the 1.0 has a option. So very unlikely that the 1.0 will be discontinued for the reasons of BS6.
Now coming to Sukuki's 1.0. This will be homologated as Maruti want to introduce it for for the Brezza and that has been long pending.
Gautam Kesh Ford has already stopped selling it. You didn’t have to give such a long explanation. The Cost of upgrading it to BS6 VS the sales of Ecoboost. That’s what they considered and the result is what happened. Still you can believe what you want🤷🏻♂️
What's really a decade old, is the design... The underpinnings are quite updated. Gearbox engines I'm talking about...

Tiago JTP is so much underrated.
The .46sec difference btw Polo and JTP is the DSG gearbox. Considering the price difference JTP is amazing.
DSG gearbox are slow while launching. Around .5 to 1 second.

The Battle between the Turbo Petrol Cars is lit, just a minor difference in time between all those cars, if I would have unlimited budget I would get the Seltos otherwise JTP is my pick😁

The dynamics of the Tiago is surprising and good. It really handles really well. I have normal Tiago which I'm happy to drive. The only niggles I feel with the Tiago is about the sound coming from the dashboard when on rough roads. Otherwise its well and good. A good value for money.

As a PoloGT owner, the Seltos did not feel like an upgrade. You are paying for space and road presence. The engine and gearbox will let down your expectations of it being faster. I have to wait longer some something that can be called a worthy replacement.
Jeep compass is your car if you got the budget of around 20 L
kushagra sharma lol, its even slower than the seltos GT. Compass is good for offroad only, dont bring it into performance comparisons. Here Germans rule (especially the DSG+TSI combo)

Automatics is for kids man! Real enthusiasts prefer manuals. Wish Polo GT TSI came with a manual gearbox. It would be cheaper and more reliable too. And yeah obviously more fun!

i was so right about the GT TSI bcoz my cousin has one and i drove from bombay daman bombay and man it has such good power, grip and handling i was totally enjoying my drive . Linea TJet was first to bring in turbo petrol engine under 15 lakh bracket for first time, with 114 n later 125 horses. And Abarth Punto is still unbitable on number front of horses, 145 .. surprisingly Palio 1.6 without turbo use to make 100 horses in 2002 .. legend lost

Seltos is a great car but being a hyundai it’s never going to be as stable as a vw. It’s going to be unstable af like 120. Tiago is a great car but what tata is lagging is interior build quality. My pick would be polo gt tsi. It always will be the king of road.
Abhay Gupta Problem and a pro with Hyundai is it always looks for comfort! But it makes the car practical to drive every day ! Thats the fun part ! Thought Polo would be the best but it’s a weekend drive! You can still drive it every day ! But We live In India where there are pot holes in size of a drain
But since I can’t keep 2 cars for myself only! And hell nowadays every expressway has cameras

Rahul D what about safety? Would you give up safety? Is safety not a part of practicality? And i am sorry i drive 2 vw’s including a polo, never had a problem with huge potholes.
After 120? Means you have never driven Seltos, it has the stiffest chassis and suspension in all crossovers out there in that price segment Thus it feels rock solid even at 185+kmhr, test it yourself then comment.

We want a track test of all small SUVs on a proper track like Kari, MMRT or BIC. Venue, Ecosport ecoboost, Seltos , XUV and even Compass can be added. That will be EPIC!

IMHO, Tata JTP was 🔥 its no doubt VFM deal. Polo will always be a Sleeper Car with that DSG. Enthusiast will like to see these hatches perform on Realy rally tracks rather than compact SUVs TBVH.
