The slight resistance in the accelerator pedal, the bounce back of the clutch, the thunk of the gear shifting, and the purring of an engine, this is what the thrill of driving means to me. It’s about all the feedback that the car offers from the steering, the tyres, and the chassis.
Driving is a car is nothing less than a sport for me..accelerating, picking gaps, some calculated risks, that kick of over taking....and much more....For me, driving is a passion and i think racing should be encouraged more in India..we have immense talent here!!!
Very well compared, Shirish and team !!! VW Polo GT Turbocharged Stratified Injection is an engineering marvel. Timeless looks!! 7-speed DSG needs no introduction. I feel earlier 1.2 GT TSI was better as it was a 4-cylinder motor, engine got 16 valves to breathe in and out which leads to negligible NVH in a turbocharged engine. With going through all headaches, Ford & VW discontinued dual clutches on Ecosport and Polo, respectively. Koreans have now jumped in with dual clutches. Torque converters mated to “4-cylinder” turbocharged engines are still a great combination. i20 is for Elite and Polo is for Enthusiasts, but ‘folks’ here now want futuristic looks, better after sales too from a “Folkswagen” car!!! Thrill Of Driving is.... When I don’t drive fast, but fly slow ;)

Everybody gangsta' until the Evo team decides to experiment the THRILL OF DRIVING 💯🤩
Drop a gear and disappear ... That's my thrill of driving 😍🌀
Well said!
I'm a Hyundai fan myself. I love their cars. But when it comes to this comparison, nothing can take the place of the amazing Polo. Features of the other car might be better, but the drive can never be taken
When ppl say Hyundai i20 is feature loaded, it makes me feel like “what is the point in buying a premium smartphone which can’t handle calls properly” 🤣🤣
And in general Polo is not a paper car like i20 🔥🔥
The thrill of driving for any petrol head would be the intense joy that comes from sitting behind the wheel, burning gas, mile after mile, not knowing what the next turn will bring or how the next road will be. That suspense, that thrill, that feeling that you get on each and every trip on four wheels is something that you can never experience else where! A thrill that comes only and only with driving!
was waiting for this comparison..as always nice one Sirish Sir..Germans are the standard when it comes to the thrill of driving..a 10 year old car is still the best when you compare it with the new generation 'gadget' cars being launched..
He's getting better with age isn't he?
@@evoIndia absolutely Yes
@Sirish Chandran, I have been Using Maruti car for last 9 years and have driven around 1.8 Lakh. Now people like you made us the feel that Safety is more important than style. So you made me to take a decision to “buy a Machine and Not a Gadget”. Today I will get my new Polo GT TSI AT in hand. Really excited and happy that you are making changes in peoples life.
Lesson learnt " a faster car is a safer car"😎 @11:02
The i20 is lighter and Has more power. So what is causing it to lag behind. Gear ratio? Or just they aren't a good Engineer company?
Thrill means engine pulling you back when paddle is pressed..
Shove-in-the-back acceleration!
Altroz deisel xz or i20 petrol asta opt please reply
Nothing beats a gt tsi legend ❤️🔥
The slight resistance in the accelerator pedal, the bounce back of the clutch, the thunk of the gear shifting, and the purring of an engine, this is what the thrill of driving means to me. It’s about all the feedback that the car offers from the steering, the tyres, and the chassis.
Well expressed!

8:27 But still looks classy and age less. Still safe and still german.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Does the i20 have the NCAP ratings? Could someone share, please. Thanks.
Not yet!
Thrill of driving- The feeling Sirish has when he stops his description for a fraction of a second when the tyres are working at 17:25
Feel it before you express it!
I ordered the polo tsi yesterday 🔥🔥🔥......can’t wait to arrive
"Thrill of driving" to me means giving it the beans and enjoying the drive at the same time
We live for the thrills!
Is there polo planning imt plz let me know
@SirishChandran You are one of the most unique automotive journalist in today's era.
We agree!
Driving is a car is nothing less than a sport for me..accelerating, picking gaps, some calculated risks, that kick of over taking....and much more....For me, driving is a passion and i think racing should be encouraged more in India..we have immense talent here!!!
Once again Polo nailed it...!!! Retained the crown...!!!
Polo is really enthusiastic ❤️ ......

Thrill of driving begins when Mom starts shouting from behind.
Thrill of driving is all about the torque and the engine .. I love drive trill and I enjoyed the Polo Gt Tsi Dsg and Vento Tsi Dsg and also Ameo Tdi Dsg
We don't miss the DSG anymore thanks to the new torque converter automatic.

Polo still stands out along with the I20
Along with the i20? As in?

"A faster car is a safer car" ,well said ,but most people in indian roads won't get this and do drag racing with trucks trying to overtake having no idea how dangerous it is.
I personally talked out a friend of mine from buying a polo 1L MPI and made him pick a 1.5TDI instead, which he loves❤️
Always Polo❤️

How about reliability and mileage of polo??Am planning to take one..
@@timeisup6844 mileage 15kmpl in non ac ,12 when driving in ac.
Reliability - No issues, but service cost is too high,
If u have good salary and have a mind to spend it in your car take polo.
Only bad thing about polo is high service costs and parts are too costly.
The good thing is the confidence while driving, safety and throttle feel is lit 🔥

I have driven a Polo GTi which is till date the fastest car I've ever driven. But the sheer instant Turbo spool with an easy 196NM from my Ritz's 1.3 DDiS after the 2000RPM mark defines my ideology of "Driving Thrill" 🙌
The 1.3 DDiS was a legendary engine. Sad it's discontinued.
ford Tdci engine is one of the best in giving real thrill of driving
@@nesharsudhakar2293 Yes my brother has the 2018 Figo S with 1.5 TDCi and there's almost no turbo lag. I LOVE THAT CAR BUT I FEEL THE ENGINE COULD HAVE BEEN REFINED EVEN MORE. The BS6 variant is much more refined or so I have heard.
Switch on the engine! Release the handbrake! Change the gear! Rev it ! Thats what i feel ! THRILL PF DRIVING 😎💥
Supercar feels!
A bit of tig wiggle for you. Htrac is fwd during normal operation. It operates just like 4motion’s haldex center differential (waits for slip) That’s how we get good gas mileage for an ‘awd’ vehicle

Nice unbiased comparison and review, Polo looks much fresher, simple and elegant
The torque converter on the polo eats up the DCT on the tin can 🤣🤣
It's afterall an Aisin unit from Japan. It's to be expected.
The DSG on the other hand...lol that won't last nearly as long as the Hyundai.
@@pranavp386 can you explain the reason?
@@srinivaskumarreddy120 Reason for?
@@pranavp386 DSG won't last as long as Hyundai
@@srinivaskumarreddy120 Oh the DQ200 is notorious for mechatronic and clutch pack failures...
The DCT in the Hyundai is not really out in the market for long and there are problems creeping up as we speak...but it hasn't been on the same level as the DSG.
Thrill of driving to me is enjoying the dynamics of the car, the handling, gear ratios, torque and power output along with the chasis control which puts a smile on face, the smoothness of the gear box. How the car responds to a driver's input all this adds up to give me a thrill to drive a car.
Well expressed!
Polo went from dsg to torque converter , i10 went from torque converter to dct. It’s rather clear who’s the winner here.
Who?
What's the water wading capacity of the new Polo 2020? It's important for me as I stay in Gurgaon and 5-6 days of the year there are lots of water accumulation in Gurgaon.
It will be of great help if someone able to help me on the same before making my decision.
