I miss the Polo GT TDi as well as the Old Vlog too. As a diesel Head, That Engine was the most Torquey hatchback in India under 15 Lakh.

10 years old car with new engine but still the most praised hatchback ever by reviewers
You forgot to mention that the Polo also had a 1.6 L 4 cylinder 105 bhp naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox in its line up. This engine was available until VW launched the 1.2 GT TSI DSG. Only real VW Polo fans will remember this.

its a pure drivers delight to drive a vw polo or a vw vento. Though their designs are now getting outdated yet it provides a premium plushy feeling when we see a VW

Try Honking Stock polo horn in tunnel or under bridge, it sound alot like a train
It's not the same which used to come in the old Polos (Pre 2014 or even before that). The current one sounds very lame if u had heard the original/old one.

I follow your car reviews and I like them. Apart from your vlog, I have often enjoyed Ashish Masih, Autocar, & Carandbike. Anyway, coming to the point; you have been doing good ! Just drive safe while you are on vlog. Please do choose safe circuits for trials as I wish to see you for much longer years to come.
I had bought my first car in 2011 i10 1.1 MPI iRDE2 and drove it till now (1 Lakh+ km). However as I like to drive aggressively, i10 was feeling dated.
My hunt for replacement was concluded when I've bought Polo 1.0 TSI on 20-Sep-20, based on your reviews. I must say that I am happy with my judgement relying on your input.
Now, what were my parameters (my want/ wish list).
#1 Fun to drive. Let others bite the dust,
#2 Safety,
#3 Build quality,
#4 Below 9 lacs (on road),
#5 Petrol,
#6 Daily commute to work (52kms),
#7 Good music system,
#8 GPS, Phone connect options,
#9 Less crowd in Showrooms/ Service centres,
#10 Brand/ product trust.
Additionally, my parameters (don't want list).
#1 No Maruti/ Hyundai/ Kia,
#2 No worry about fuel economy,
#3 No worry about resale value,
#4 No concern about mid-way breakdown,
#5 No chrome on the body,
#6 No SUV (below 35 lacs are dummy),
#7 No sunroof (no functionality in India)

This car is on no. 1 is the hatchback series. No one can beat this.
We can get a logo flip OEM camera installed after the purchase, we can get wireless chargers for the cars, the TC system is only for the 6 speed Auto, keyless entry and push button start are not needed as such, sunroof just adds up to the weight……polo is built perfect
What should i prefer to buy the gt tsi amt or the 2nd on line tsi amt ? i could not spot any difference between the two models. What costs 54000 more for gt (just gt badge).
Unfortunately this little beast is no longer for sale in India... It was most loved hot hatch... Will miss you Polo...

Actually polo doesn't miss out on the important features. Who needs wireless charging if you have wired (it's not too important because you get 12v anyway) It's priced extremely well too (the polo), now the important ommisions are reversing cameras, keyless entry go. Now having analogue dials is a good thing because they're easier to read than say a partly lcd one or the horrible full lcd ones.
If the gear shifts from the fift gear to the direct second gear will the gear box not deteriorate??

People r still calling it outdated design ( both interior nd exterior). For me, It's definitely not. It's so beautiful and compact. In video, its may not be eye-catching. But thats due to the camera angles. When u see it in person, u will like it. the appearance is solid( esp. in white colour).my uncle is running workshop. One day I went to his shop to see him. There I got chance to sit inside the polo. One of his customer had parked his polo in the workshop. But that doesn't hve flat bottom steering wheel. That's was an old model( round steering wheel). But really I felt the sense of safety inside the polo when it sat inside . It's sooo compact nd solid inside. Felt premium too. And the horn sound it soo unique ❤️. That day itself I decided if I ever going to buy a car tht would be from VW group. If u r interested in buying polo go for white. Get black alloy wheels.Put carbon fiber like sheet on the roof as well as on the both side mirror. That's it, u get the beast with beauty.

These cars are not meant to be driven either at 1100 rpm at higher gear ( u are gonna plonk the costly dual mass flywheel) , nor drive like a moron at 6500 rpm up shifts. Its not sports car damn it. and it doesnt need to be above 2500 rpm to get going. I have driven Polo TSI as well as 1.0 Rapid which is essentially same engine, sans top end power. Keep it gentle between 1500 rpm and 2500-3000 rpm and you will be good. Respect the car for what it is please. It hurts to look at random rapid downshifts like a madman which spikes rpm from 2000 rpm to 6000 in milliseconds.. Thats abusing the car by definition

Took the delivery on monday car is awesome rear seat is also comfortable if the height of the passenger is less than 6 ft . This car has no competition its faster,safer, and brings a smile on the face .it has all the needful features and mileage which i am getting before first service is 16 to 20 as i am not revving the nuts like faisal sir😂.This car is awesome 😎 if you want to buy you can and the service cost has also reduced from 2020
vishnu sangeeth if u drive the car 10 km and check the mileage every car will show less mileage but on long drives which includes city traffic and highway drives approx 200km it gives about 17 to me and also it depends on your driving style
