They should have either considered Harrier or Kicks which are great products in terms of Quality, drivability and looks. Harrier even scores on cabin space which is more than Creta and Seltos.
CRETA has better quieter engine than any other cars
Harrier should have been in it's place .
Also while MG's car is feature packed but the question is ' do they work well' . It's screen is not that responsive and voice assistant doesn't understand you.

I totally agree wid the verdict of the Kia outshining it's rivals but didn't like the fact that the creta was included in the final showdown. The kicks & harrier should have been chosen instead of the creta as they are much nicer to drive & have a tough feel to them. The creta thuds a lot on bad roads & just roping it in on the basis interior quality isn't acceptable. I believe that comparison of SUVs should be done on their driving mannerisms, ability to tackle bad roads keeping in mind the comfort & safety of the occupants. Overall, it was a good comparison & the Seltos truly deserves to be the best 😊

@Nagato is better than Punk Naruto XUV is the least reliable of the lot....seltos is low on weight hence the power it comes wid is adequate. It all boils down on how the engine puts down the power. The XUV which has a higher output than the creta or even the duster for instance, can't match dem on outright acceleration

It feels like an offroader even though it is a fwd ....
And the torque is more than enough....350Nm and u can even get a move on from 3rd gear if u carefully align the clutch and accelerator..... it's that good when it comes to low speed drive .
Again... Kia is not all that great and reliable , in Gulf countries ...... it is ..at best....considered mediocre ,even has a lower brand value than it's sibling...hyundai
Nagato is better than Punk Naruto next gen xuv500 is coming by next year q3-4. As for current one, its pretty unreliable, rattly and fidgety. Please drive the harrier. It has great ride and good rear seat comfort. Plus is solid.
Hector is jumpy beyond 80 and not very stable. Rear seat is also low set.
Seltos is really good. High quality and good ride comfort and stability. Actually i find it good value for the equipment and quality it offers compared to the cheaper feeling hector.. I only wish seltos had more thigh support for rear seat. Otherwise its perfect..

Hihi diesel gives 16 on highway and 14 in city. That's automatic u r talking about and that too gives 11 on highway and 8 in city. My friend have that car and I bet you put any car in comparison with same petrol automatic variant not even single car of that weight and with turbo engine is going to give more mileage than that. If my verna can give 13 on highway and 9 in city that too diesel variant than this is completely justified.
Ravi Solanki - These actual mileage figures which you are quoting are for Hector DCT (Petrol automatic). Here we are talking of Diesel Manuals. Thus the comparison is not justified.

they are subcompact SUVs which are under 4 metres.
These are compact SUVs or mid-sized SUVs which are over 4 metres, but are not full-sized ones like Endeavour or Fortuner.

Nice war of Indian consumer preferred SUVs or mid sized SUVs. Only thing like all others that surprises that why is Tata Harrier not considered in top 3? Does Tata really make that bad vehicles? Nevertheless. Good review. Also it would be really great if a similar review is done for all electric options too!!! Great work though.

Tata's quality control is poor. I had a tata nexon and within an year 2 of its bolts had come out of their respective sockets, one of the tail lights had fused and the fuel gate had to be replaced bcoz it wasnt opening every time when I pulled the fuel gate lever. Worst car experience Ive had tbh.

I think the high percentage of dislikes compared to likes is due to counting out the Harrier..which is the most loved car among all these.
It is not a good car, don't think like Tata. Indians are not fools, why Harrier is not selling in numbers is because of the lazy approach of Tata
Ford should come up with a suv in this segment FAAAAST (Big sized, feature filled, off-road equiped and finally a powerful engine that could scare off the rest)

People might be wondering why all of sudden they are eliminate but I want them to understand if you are looking for budget range SUV , and don't consider Seltos , this are the cars for you to pick one if not Seltos. I have test driven 23 Cars to find my first car. My budget is 14 lakhs. Few cars which were outstanding IMHO were Ford Ecosport, VW Polo and Nissan Kicks. I was leaning towards Ecosport, then I test rode the Kicks as just wanted to strike this one off the list. Well, I was delightfully surprised. (I have driven Venue, Seltos and Harrier as well). Kicks mid variant diesel is such a value for money car with VDC (Electronic stability program which is more important than air bags) which no other car in this price range offers. (Ford S diesel has this but it is a segment below in terms of space). 1. Value for money 2. One of the best ride quality and handling under 20 Lakhs 3. Good quality. At 13.5 lakhs this is one of the best cars to buy in Indian market.
Kia is well marketed however I found it a segment below compared to ride and handling of kicks. Test it in rough patches alongside kicks you will know what I mean. Seltos diesel doesn't have ESP which is a prime negative. It is more important safety feature than air bags. Seltos is seriously overpriced compared to kicks at 14 lakhs.
At 2.20 it was an easy guess that popular Creta and Seltos would be in final three... Hector wasn't a surprise.

The reason you see more MGs than Kias is because of the marketing campaign. MG had gone with a more classy one which better suits the choice of the buyers of these cars. And, Kia had gone gone with a more mass-appealing one.

I have a Creta. .. 1. 4 .. Great mileage .. Good resale valve .. Comfort.. More Hyundai showrooms .. If incase any car problems long drive .. And little safety too..

Safety in harrier?? What about rear disc brakes,tyre pressure monitoring,front parking sensors?? No yah harrier is not crash tested yet.

SELTOS doesn't feel like so premium once it's seen in realtime... Its pretty normal in its exteriors
Creta is good , but in high speed & bumps its a hell to be seated in rear seats... Vertical jolts are high
Harrier is really good & fun to use vehicle, its comfortable for all passenger...
Captur lags only coz of its design both interior & exterior...
Hector is nice with highly modern electricals , but too much electronics don't feel reliable at all times
XUV 500 woah such an amazing car with high power & reliable on high speed good driving experience, but its suspension is too rigid in bumps...
Xuv5oo and duster are older but both are awd....(correction point 😂)

Seltos is not spacious. I sat as I am 6.2ft tall , it's not spacious and legroom is congested. I think Harrier is best.
Seltos and creta having same chassis and same diesel engine(1.5litre only) from hyundai. Seltos is far more interior features and more equipped than all the suvs. But in safety terms, hector played really well. Creta strikes the balance between two

Nimit Gandhi Hi I am from Kerala and roads in Kerala are pathetic if you ask me hector gives good ride quality and is feature loaded and comes with 5 years warranty on parts premature failure. Driving dynamics is reasonable am not expecting a fortune sized suv to behave like a bmw.

Kia seltos got 3 out of 5 in safty rating which again means that there is a good risk for side crash injuries. For kids seated at back the rating is 2. Is safty not a thing to consider when buying a car ?
Who buys an SUV if you want a fun to drive car anyway? Sedans and hatchbacks will ALWAYS be more fun. You willingly make that compromise for the space on offer. Judging an SUV by how much fun it is to drive is absolutely ridiculous.
