Honestly, the only complaints as an 11 user is the battery and storage becoming an issue. I may get the battery replaced and rock the 11 for a few more years. Anything XR and newer seems too much alike. I’ve had my 11 since release day back in 2019, still runs fine, no cracks, all original parts!
The only reason i want to upgrade is for the storage too, if only my brother bought the 128 gb instead of 64 gb i wouldnt be leaning towards an upgrade
I got the iPhone 11 a few years after it got released, I got mine in 2021 and I still use it!! And I’m not planning on upgrading anytime soon! I’ll keep my iPhone 11 and continue to use it till I graduate highschool

Damn! The pictures on the 11 look better. Some of the 16 pictures look unnatural: too much saturated and over sharpened. I wouldn’t upgrade unless you use your phone like 6+ hours a day.
Smaller sensors have increased depth of field, which if with a lot of light, increase the perception of overall sharpness. This is why you don't see larger sensors for wide-angle lens, they don't need to have even more diffuse fine details.
I own an iPhone and Google Pixel. Camera wise my old pixel 2 takes photos which are on a par , if not better than my newer pixel , same appears to apply to iPhone
I’m still rocking an iPhone 11 64GB today, and it more than suits my needs. I’ve updated software to 17.7 as very cautious of 18 for now. All of my photos look fantastic, and I don’t have any bugs to report. I may upgrade to iPhone 17 next year if the refresh rate improves.
iOS 18 has frame stutters on the 11. I have 100% battery health. You will notice the stutter if you are sensitive to this kind of stuff. I hope it will be fixed, just the way 17.3 was a big boost to smoothness
“The button placement is awkward.” I respect your statement but the camera control button isn’t meant to be used for portrait mode, that’s why it was mostly shown in landscape mode, which makes it very convenient.
I never buy the latest iPhone. I have the iPhone 11 and, honestly, it's good enough. Before this, I had the iPhone XR, and in a year, I'll probably switch to the iPhone 14. As long as they keep receiving OS updates, older iPhones are good enough. Thank you for the review!

See, I just upgraded from my 11 to a 16 recently, and I will never regret. It's way faster like way faster in some areas, battery life is super amazing for people like me who don't give too much load and its camera is shockingly good, to the macro to the portraits it overall is really good. The camera button for me is very useful, it is not when taking landscape though. As I need to open my camera quickly sometimes it really helps, now I can use my other buttons for other important purposes. It is a really good choice to upgrade.
I'm a photographer / videographer, I still have the iPhone 11, I know exactly why I chose it when 13 was out and still know now why I won't change it soon. iPhone 11 reached a really great tech level that I don't feel the need for anything else. I still enjoy the benefits of the latest iOS, camera you see how good that was and still is. Only downside is the screen and battery. Miss me with every year upgrades until I see something worth upgrading

Going from one iPhone to the next is always a bit underwhelming since really nothing much changes, but after a few days I can really tell the difference, and the camera is way better. Also, I mostly shoot in landscape, and then the camera sensor makes more sense. In portrait it's very awkward, agreed.

I had the iPhone 11 and I upgraded to the 14 the 16 looks like the 16 and i saw a video of someone filming on the 16 and it looked scary and it made it look like it wasn’t real at all and I am also watching this on my iPhone 14. Definitely will not be upgrading for a long time.
one more thing. You can buy 11 in solid condition for x4 less money.. I used 11 for 5 years until i thought it was dead than i bought 13. Wife has 14 pro and all in all its the same thing..
my phone is definitely struggling to run iOS 18 now and the battery capacity is around 74% now but if it hadn't slowed down I would not be thinking of upgrading
What bothers me is the dynamic island. Big chunky pill mainly used for biometrics. Face unlock works great but why dont just get a fingerprint sensor and go for a 2d face unlock to keep the frontfacing camera small? Or atleast they should make it a bit smaller. Instead the bezels get thinner, making the dynamic island appear even larger.
Well that camera button doesn’t weird at all. I was used Xperia Z2 about 4-5 years and we have dedicated shutter button for camera (on the same place like on iPhone) and it doesn’t weird at all. For portrait or landscape it’s just fine🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

i upgraded from ip11 to ip16, and I can see the difference with the display and brightness especially when i'm outside (which is almost always). can't make an accurate comparison with the battery since my ip11 was rough asf it was on 72% lmao. and everything was taking up so much storage
I still think it's worth it to upgrade i feel like ip16 can also last me the same 5 years as my ip11
