Don’t worry, you are normal. I’m still using iPhone 11, solid phone, small, easy, lcd screen is better than oled. Just replace my battery, last update is 17.7. Phone lasts 6 hours screen time, that enough for one day, just plug it in the end of the day, go to bed, don’t worry about the battery, just replace it with new after sometime(5 years). When I try iPhone 16, it doesn’t give me any new excited feeling. I think I stick with 11 for 5 more years, life is simple. When your thing is working well, just leave it like it is 😅 enjoy your life more, when iPhone 20 I’ll think about it then

The iPhone does a lot of file and photo indexing when you first upgrade the OS. That's why it gets warm and runs through the battery. It should stop in a few hours if connected to power or up to a day on battery. Pretty sure the face recognition in Photos gets recalculated too....all that takes power. My 15 Pro ran warm when I first updated to iOS 18 but it was finished in an hour or two.
You're sure that it lags and gets warm initially but everything works fine after a while... I definitely understand the things you've said about file and photo indexing... I just wanna know which iOS version is best for iphone 11..
iOS 18 has been running horribly on my iPhone 11 Pro Max even with a new battery of a few months ago. Frequent lockups, can’t swipe or close an app. Even the buttons sometimes stop working for seconds. What a mess.
IOS 18 runs really smooth on my 14 plus. I ran a Geekbench 6 and my processor is actually faster than on IOS 17. Nick compare the XS max on iOS 18. And can you test the other phones like 12, 13, 14. Love the videos.
Rockin 11 Pro Max on iOS 18 it runs just fine really with a few chops here and there honestly but yeah the heat on it is really toasty man just when multitasking (music/podcast playing, running gps, doing a phone call/messaging all same time). Don’t do much gaming but if I tax it slightly it gets hotter than before for sure
Using a case is only going to make it more warm. It'll not dissipate heat as fast. It'll be appreciable if you can make a similar video for 11 Pro or Pro Max.
Try doing a clean install and it might be better as it won't have the previous junk files. Do a video after 7 days again for the temperature and performance when the indexing is done. It might be thermal throttling due to being too hot.

Sure there is lag but the fact that these phones have 60Hz panels make them feel even more laggy. I feel like 120Hz iPhone Models will last even longer. Lets say in the future when the 13 Pro is not able to keep many apps in the background cause of its age and lack of RAM, it will still look smooth while loading apps because of 120Hz

@@parthivthegreat do you think iPhone 11 is okay?
@@alxsawy iPhone 11 is still usable in 2024. However, the 12 offers a lot more than 11. A better display, faster processor, better cameras, 5G, durable body, and more. It's still perfect for 2024
@@parthivthegreat i mean if iPhone 11 can support iOS 18😅🥲
I wouldn't bother tbh, just wait until the next refurbished iPhone can be found and I can upgrade once more ig

My iPhone 13 hasn't been lagging yet and no heat issues, and the battery is almost the same as iOS 17, but iPhone 11 is like 2 genarations away form iPhone 13, iPhone 11 shouldn't get that hot..
IOS 17.2.1 runs pretty great so it seems like IOS 18 is the software to slow down the IPhone
