Did Samsung update their software because the S24 and S24U look so much better in those comparisons compared to months ago. It’s the oldest phone but can easily keep up with the best. I hope they will upgrade the camera system of the S25
yeah they released new update on iphone announcement day for entire s24 lineup, just in time for comparison. Camera and battery has improved a lot on 24u
I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I take a picture (S24 Ultra) with people around me using iPhones, they always seem amazed by the quality of the photos. Maybe people actually prefer more vibrant colors.
Well you can set the level of vibrancy on the camera for iPhone and it’ll persist, then again a lot of iPhone users just operate the damn thing at default settings so they’re missing out. 🤷♂️
Of course they prefer unnatural vibrant colors. Thats the same reason high gamut displays are never set to clamp to RGB values by default. People want their RGB content to be stretched into the wider color space even at the cost of realism. Even I prefer more unnatural colors but I am aware that they are unnatural and that bothers me so I force myself to make thing look more plain/natural even if it looks worse
it's just that the colours should applied after the photo was taken not already pre processed to be Instagram ready. On often especially with people as subjects, it doesn't actually look good at all.

Wish Samsung could just admit defeat like the Pixel, and just create a smaller sized S24 Ultra if they want to separate the camera sensors from the Ultra line to the regular and +.
The iPhone is much sharper in daylight thanks to the 24MP default images in comparison to the S24. That is to be expected considering the 15 already had superior images.

3:03 portrait mode 2x iPhone Win! Look at the hair. Small details are clearly visible. On the iPhone, individual hairs r visible. And on others everything is smoothed out!
in my opinion, we've reached a point where it's no longer about having a 'better camera,' but rather about differences in features. While there are minor differences in tones, brightness, etc., you can always adjust these parameters after taking the photo. The most significant difference now is likely the new AI tools that support the camera-and Google is probably many steps ahead in this area, especially since Apple Intelligence isn’t a thing in the EU
