How to fix fast blinking indicator on Harley Davidson after LED blinker install

- After installing custom dynamics blinkers on my 2017 Harley Davidson Low Rider S I noticed that the blinker indicator flashed very fast. Here is how to fix that on your HD

I added LEDs to my bike and had this problem, but I did exactly what you showed us and it works perfectly now thank you!
First try it didn’t work. I realized I didn’t leave the hazards on long enough. Second try left them for the full 30 seconds. Shazzam your instructions worked perfectly! 2004 Harley Davidson Sportster with LED’s front and rear turn signals, brake light, headlight, and also have the HD run/turn/brake module.
LED bulbs last much longer in my experience with this bike anyway. Thanks for this awesome trick!

I just bought a 2014 dyna low rider had led tureen signals installed on it. Rapid flash was annoying on the six hour ride home. Did a Google search to find a solution that I could purchase abs found your video. I'll have to try this and see if it works fire me. Thank you for sharing the information, it will save me time and money!
Did this work for you? I have a 2017 dyna low rider and can’t get my indicators to flash normally, even though all leds are flashing normal.
@@xkraztv The signals flash normal, but the indicators still rapid flash. I may disconnect the battery for 20 minutes to see if anything changes.

2021 road glide. It’s fixed it for the right side but the left side is still doing it . I repeated the hazards about 5 more times. Doesn’t seem to make a difference. Anything I’m doing wrong ?
Thank you. I just installed some LED's on my Limited and the same thing with fast blinking and couldn't figure it out. Not that it was a big deal, but it bugs me. Just did that and it still fast blinking...only in the fairing from rider's view, otherwise all lights blink normal.

Have an 05 Sportster. Same. Didn't work. Keep searching. Heard someone say you need to take to dealer for reflash and 1/2 hour shop charge. Trying to avoid that.

Yes. I'd try it again with less time. Doesn't work on every bike but does on most!

2010 Street Glide FLX, tried twice, still hyper flashing. Bummer
I just recently bought an '05 Dyna Wide Glide that already had LED's in the turn signals and the indicator and turn signals flash fast. Not sure what brand they are but I believe that the hazards flash fast as well. Don't think this will fix this problem but will try anyway. Probably gonna have to install load equalizers...

@@jenningsc001 I've never had my bike off for a long period of time so I wouldn't know. Wouldn't be hard to repeat the process and make it normal again if it was to go back to fast blinking again though.

Doesn’t work on 2018 Softail.
You need to put load resisters the led dont draw as much power as oem so it sends a signal back that they are out. Splice wires going to bulb harness and ad they resisters looks like a plastic blimp.
the trick did not work on my Night Train year 2007 .
Didn't work on my 2003. It's interesting though, the hazards flash at the perfect speed, but once I isolate the left side, it starts flashing fast. Just the left side.

Yeah, this didn't work for my 2020 Street Bob. The bulbs flash at the normal pace, but the display flickers like crazy.
MY STREET bob 2020 has more fault codes and check light bull shit just from blinkers , what a heap of shit this canbus crap is ,utter rubbish to have the canbus set to candescent bulbs harley davidson electric engineers living in 1970s still , over it sick of riding it with this shit engine check light ,like whats blinks got to do with engine failure, what idot made the check engine light come on for low voltage at blinkers , real smart dickwad at harley
I have a 2017 Low Rider, followed your advice, and for some reason it did not work for me.
I would try again. Being that it's the same bike. It would have to work.
@@streetstunna600 , I tried several times, don't understand why it's not working. I'm running the Cyron " Torch" LED's. 1157 in front, 1156 in rear. Tried with bike off, running, waited longer, shorter time intervals.

Worked with leds in the front. Now with all four hyper flash will not stop.
With cluster on. But engine off.
Turn hazards on for 20-30 seconds
Turn off hazards
You should be good to go
My 99 dose nothing
2004 Road King. Tried every 'magic fix' blinker remedy suggestion out there. No luck. Bought a HD signal balancer per dealer to fix. No good. Bought a second load balancer that everyone said fixed their problem. STILL have the quick blink. 100 hours of my time aggravation and thrown away $. Grrrrrr!!!

I have a 06 Street Bob as well & it worked for me. Results may vary, I guess...

To those who tried this trick but unfortunately it doesn't work..I suggest you install a load stabilizer.
DON'T WORK TO MY 2011 ROAD GLIDE.
Your bikes electronics are too old for this trick, you will need to put a resistor between the cable from your blinker and the cable that comes from your bike

I would prefer it to be fast. The whole point is for others to see you. Anything out of the ordinary gets people's attention.
Black Eagle The blinker itself is not fast. Just the indicator in the dash gauge
streetstunna600 hmmm. That's weird. I put leds on my cbr and the actual lights flashed fast. I liked it. Anyway I'm going to put leds on my street glide and my low rider s so thanks for the info.
Black Eagle Yeah, sport bikes are a bit different than HD. My 09' 1000RR Blinked fast as well.
