Cream puff so Jealous. What a score. They didn't use it the winter or it would be wadded up Thanks for sharing your new Relic. Love it.!
Caught myself drooling over that sweet old girl.
You have found another beautiful lady to save. The engine sounds great. Can't wait for more videos on this one. Thanks for sharing. Always looking forward to the next video.
Looks like it could’ve been a dully at one point
Total win! That old workhorse deserves to be put back into service.
It's in the right hands now.
Nice truck ,My bet the old girl spent some time in the military. with the marking on dash and that fire wall and flat bed probably in the Air Force as a POL truck on flight tarmack.
Remember that Mopar ignition switch in the glove box. Even the paint will come back with some elbow grease.
Man that truck is in nice shape for sitting that long
That is an absolutely gorgeous truck!!! You did well! Looks like the data plate said 17000 GVWR, that explains the dual rear wheel set up. More like a 3 ton truck I'd think. Outstanding catch!
A quick look on the ol` innerweb shows the H-series Dodge truck is the Heavy Duty `Job-Rated` version, which was rated at 17,000 lbs, as opposed to the regular 13,000 lbs.
I would like to see it running and driving
Did it have side curtain airbags or just no seat belts at all? lol 😂
Good find and sounds nice really great shape. Love the paint color and you right old parts are better than new stuff they make today.👍
Cool old truck. Be cool to see a wrecker body on it then you could bring more old stuff home.👌✌shes mint.
Nice New addition to the fleet. Definitely a solid cab and fenders.
Thanks for the update on the newest truck although it is in excellent condition it will fit in to the collection.
Man...I haven't seen one that clean in yeeaarrs! Being from Michigan..."The rust belt" you know what put them in the crusher...no body left. You definitely scored big time.
Won't it be nice to have windows and a heater next winter? Yep, I thought so!
Good luck on the trans, it might be why it was parked.
Very nice looking truck for it's age, glad someone found it that will put some love into it. That old motor sounds good and didn't smoke very much if any. I hate those kind of wheels and that would be the first thing to go before they kill someone. Looking forward to the next video.
I would drive that beauty every day. Just a great truck, can’t wait to see her go.
love it. i've been working on a '54 half ton for a kid that looks just like this. make damned sure the hood hinge is locked when you're working under there. i had the hood suddenly collapse on me and smash my face into the fender. i almost bit through my lip
It's a ton-and-a-half my dad had that same exact truck man you got a beautiful truck there brings back a lot of memories man
It's an old military truck. If you look at the firewall the firewalls even OD Green. It was just painted blue on the outside. I would paint it back to OD
Thank you for saving history. Anymore this stuff would be gone and crushed. keep on keeping on
I think that's the best looking truck you've got! The body is really solid and unmolested. It's amazing that it's made it this long with no major modifications. Great score!
You can tell it was well maintained at one point
Love these old dodge work trucks
I like your use old things first stance. USA old iron ... Best machines ever made
How Awesome is that, you're a magician when it comes to those classic trucks.... Another Awesome video!!
It has the color of puddins fab shop,, blue 🔵,now you have to do a pressure wash video 😂
I was gonna comment about Puddins Fab Shop colors😄
1st Priority should have been to vacuum that sweet factory shag carpet. Cool Truck.
love the hood and ablility to access each side of the engine..and these old trucks just have a cool look to them..how this truck survived wout major damage is outstanding..please do a few videos and get here right..she deserves it..
You must be the luckiest Dude on the planet! That is one sweet ride! I was worried about the two cylinders in the middle near the carb; I thought they were not getting good compression due to the usual moisture through the intake. But, Man, she was purring like six kittens! Cab corners, rockers - just a damned clean rig waiting for road duty. Keep on keepin' on!!!
sounds darn good!!!! them old flatties... well done!
That thing's in good shape like it's been Parked indoors at least during the Winter Nice addition to your lineup there thanks for the videos always good time
Someday I wish I could take a trip your way and hang out and learn a little something about these old trucks! Great video buddy!
What a great find, leave it as it is. Give it a service some boards for the bed and restore the electrical part. That's all
Engine sounds pretty good congratulations on your new truck
really nice old truck runs great glad to see you get a nice one
Thanks for saving a fine old Mopar!!!
You don’t need to worry about a pulley flying through the radiator.👌
The super deep shag carpet is amazing 😁👍
She runs like a top! Nice work BYA!
Solid truck complete enough it gets stored in the shop well earned retirement
Holy cow! That thing sounds really good! Like there's some solid life left in her. Not even smoking too much. Good find man! Not gonna lie, I'm a little jealous. Thanks for the upload
That's a great looking and running old dodge. 👌👌
Another great find! Looking forward to seeing her back to life and on the road, too. Onward!
I actually have a spark plug cleaner from the 70s, that is basically a mini sand blaster, the plug fits in a hole with a rubber grommet, hook the blaster up to your battery with clips, then turn the plug as you press the on button, works pretty good.
That is a definite score. Sounds like a nice solid runner. Looking forward to seeing it driving around again.
Nice rig! So nice to look under that hood and be able to see and get to the components! I miss the days of crawling right into the engine bay to work on things! Thanks for the video and all the best and God bless!
Greetings from Romania!
This truck reminds me of our "Bucegi" truck.
Great job ...back here putting the old cabs on a newer chassis so they have all the comfort with all the nostalgia of them beautiful old cabs. I do not think allot of these newer engines are really your cup of tee. But; there are still a few newer engines less all the crazy electrons that require a rocket scientist 24/7 to check that data... These days with the internet nothing is impossible, enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing all your hard work. It seems like so much fun watching someone else do the work, when in reality it's hard work...
Nice Austin! Great looking honey-comb radiator too. As you have discovered, those Chrysler flat head engines are really reliable and robust. You will have many enjoyable hours of windshield time in this old truck.
New burnout truck? That thing is solid!
That old Iron last Nicely ul there in Alaska. Thats Crazy. As cold as it gets. Great Find Bud. Cant wait to see it driving around...Great Job Sir and Video
That's a nice old truck & in good shape too!
Great find old vehicles were built better back then Way thicker metal Can't wait to see it on the road
Fireman 🔥🔥🔥
Excellent truck Nice to see you SAVE
Another one added to the fleet
That's pretty darn cool old truck fired right up I like that butterfly Hood She'll be a good one for your collection Way to go Thanks for the videos
Hey Brother! Great job with the startup as always. Like I said before, you're living my dream and with another cool stablemate besides! You don't have one video that doesn't pique our interest. Thanks again and can't wait for the transmission fix!
Just a little spray of starting fluid would save the starters and batteries. Nice truck. I hope it's going to be a keeper.❤🇺🇸🐘
Good to see ya , our up north brother, love the channel and the survivor content.😎👍🇺🇸🔥
“It’s pretty uncommon to see truck this old that’s not all bashed up”? Yeah we know. You own most of them.
LOVE THE 6 INCH HOSE CLAMP ON A 1 INCH DIA OUTLET , GRAMPA'S ONE SIZE FITS ALL
You deserve my more subscribers. always enjoy. And seek you out when I can.
You got yourself a Damm good truck..good simple to work on engine..durable driveline and heavy frame..also there are grease fittings all over the suspension and universal joints. If you grease it every so often it'll last the rest of forever...word to the wise never ever sell it.👍👍👍👍👍
Such a cool truck! I think she can run duallies in the back, too. There's ton of thread on the lugnut studs for it.
I wasn't surprised to see/hear that the engine was healthy, but I was thoroughly surprised at the overall condition. Usually these trucks are either beat up or rusted out, and this particular truck is neither! Goes to show that she was cared for before being parked and neglected for 20+ years. Unless the trans is completely rusted, I think it won't take much to get her going again.
Rusted gearboxes are like dinosaurs do not see many
Look like buddies on the back. One sides normal thread the other sides sinister threaded. With a special socket and three yards of torque you take the lugg nuts off then set the socket on the square drive to get the inner threaded thimble thing off.
What a beast of a dodge!
Really nice old dodge 👍 👍 👍 👍
Vintage 1956! Same year as me. Noice!
About the 56 Dodge C3- H6, found out the C3 was about 8800 GVW and the H6 designation was heavy duty model that had an 17000 lb. GVW.
My grandpa has a 1956 Dodge H series with a flathead six too that my grandpa put in it.
Like the original color! Like to dare it driving 🏁
Congrats on an easy one. You are getting better in each video. A fire extinguisher is a possibility. I have set cars alight.
Wow that thing sounds like it just rolled off The factory run smooth for an old carburetor
I always enjoy your videos. Love seeing a young guy in to old trucks and cars. You seem to be very knowledgeable about it. I sure wish they had RUclips back when I was young. I did the trial and error technique or walk to the library lol! Looking forward to your next video 👍
Awesome job, nice old truck,,, still waiting to see the welder revival lol
Great find! She sounds sweet!
What a beauty....
That is a fantastic old Dodge. Even down here in the midwest it would be highly unlikely to find a truck that age in such good condition. I think with only a little elbow grease you are going to have a cherry running around rig there. Another great interesting, and entertaining video:-)
Hello from mat- su Valley Wow great looking truck thanks for the great videos
We needed that hook that's in the glove box when we were moving that crawler with the kw 😂
Right 😂
Engine sounds pretty Damn good to me ....
Let the next one be a will it run with a long road trip
That was way too easy , got lucky on this one 👍👍🇺🇸
Nice old truck my dad had the pickup version always hard to start usually had to pull start it
Great looking truck. Good luck with this one. Doesn’t look like it needs too much work!👍
Great to see you Austin brother! I always enjoy your friendship and your videos brother! I appreciate how you explain everything you’re working on or what’s in your yard, awesome machines brother! Thanks 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸

The blue truck is a upgrade for you clean truck
That ran mint!!
Another great save. Looking forward to the weasel revival.
All the major manufacturers can and do make quality plugs, the thing is the adorable top shelf parts are Japanese NGK Denso just to name the top couple
Back to the time where the only shit you really needed to work on something was a screwdriver, a cresent wrench and a pair of pliers
It sounds great. Definitely went to the right guy!
Sounds great, that's amazing
Really enjoy your videos. Look forward to seeing more of this one. Pretty sweet ride. Thanks for sharing
Nice find..she's a good' un ...
NICE, what a sweet runner! I think most of your problems with'er revolve around that shag carpet...
She's gonna be a good runner and fun to use after you give her the tlc she needs. Cool rig. Good luck!
Thanks for posting.
VERY NICE TRUCK
the truck was a base maintenance truck bought by the military tp 60 is tire pressure look forward to seeing the transmission top come off dodge had 4 different transmission's 4 speeds during that time either spur gear or m37 style have fun!
