I was thinking the same thing. We down need to have the gov't owning the means of production, but we need a liberal open economy and to consider the rights of workers a bit. I would love to see both more democracy and more socialism in this country. They act like Medicare for All is not the norm everywhere else.

The job of a university is to be a forum for all ideas - not just the ones we agree with. It is also a venue for competing ideas. Those without merit are discarded (at least temporarily) while others are explored further. That's the first point that Gaetz is intellectually dishonest about. The second is his hatred of socialism. Doesn't he get that many, if not all of our NATO allies are socialist countries to varying degrees? He also can't tell the difference between socialism, democratic socialism, and communism. But I think, in the end, all he wanted to do was to pontificate to the military establishment for political gain. The guy is despicable.
