On Heat Pumps Modern Home 🏡 insulation is a priority prior to insulation of a Heat Pump, Oversized Radiators like Stelrad K3 are as far as I can see an advantage to keep flow rates down to a minimum, underfloor heating 👌 is no doubt the best to have, but not many want to dig up their floor so going down the Radiator route is the only way,
The issue is with the end of eco 7 being announced for 2030 it will. Are heat pumps even more expensive currently energy companies are pushing prices up by 7% if they are allowed to end cheap rate it will hit hundreds more and make 11 plus heat pumps dearer than gas
Great to benefit from 10p rate overnight but you pay the 40p premium in the day because you had that discount. Most are on the price cap of 28p per kWh of electric, so divided by 4 works out at 7p per kWh of heat. Conveniently about the same price as a KW of gas (bit cynical about that coincidence) so it works out about the same to run as a boiler (maybe cheaper for some, depends on the home). There are other tariffs but it's about picking the right one for individuals usage, a lot of money can be saved or lost being on the right or wrong tariff, more so than having the right/wrong tech.
This is a scam. Same as the wind farms it doesn't work however these lot want to get you to buy a earth saving heat pump and take your and the governments money which is also yours and leave you with this pile of rubbish,
