“Character is doing the right thing when no one is looking.” That quote (can’t remember who said it) came to mind when he mentioned doing right for the right reason. It’s all about motive. It’s very admirable when someone does the right thing, but even more so when they don’t care if anyone knows about it or pats them on the back for doing so.
Milk causes more animal suffering than eating the meat of the animal If you have a weak stomach, maybe don't try to find out why it is more crewel You can get 60% of your daily calcium from a half a cup of oats. Like eating a bowl of oatmeal, or having a smoothy, it's also better for you than any processed breakfast cereal.
Babby Babbyson can you please explain how milking a cow causes more suffering than killing it, skinning it, ripping out its insides, and tearing apart it's carcass... seriously if I was a cow I'd be more scared of that than of someone squeezing my tits
Harambe today's generations are royally fucked!!! At what point were girls taught that it's cute to not know how to cook??? They think it makes them look innocent but it just makes them look fucking stupid
to your question what makes us mature= Not shouting at people but instead talking out your disagreements, admitting to mistakes or when you are wrong, asking for help if we really need it- it is not wrong to admit you need help, saying sorry even if something is not entirely your fault, going the extra mile to help someone.
Letting go of an argument when you see that the other person won't change their mind and you won't change your's (even if you think that what they think may be moraly wrong).
Galassia di Andromeda like every liberal crybaby.. they all believe theyre morally superior on everything even if said morals ruins our culture and quality of life
Then you say, "We'll just have to agree to disagree" or "I'm not going to argue with you about it anymore". Sometimes this shuts them down, other times it doesn't. When that happens, it's time to let it go and walk away. :)
What makes a person mature?? Reading any comment on You Tube, and NOT chastising, or name-calling the person who posted the original comment. We all have opinions, and not everybidy agrees with them,-that doesn't make them wrong, it just means someone has a different opinion than you. Be mature, and keep the asinine comments to yourself, they really help no one, not even yourself.
Setting aside your differences, swallowing your pride, and focusing more on who the person is rather than what they have whether it's the color of their skin, the amount of money, etc. Being the best you can be and improving each day is more important.
Having to plan a parent's funeral will make you grow up really fast. Dealing with the issues that come flooding through after said loss will help you grow up a lot more.
Police are the worst for not following rules of the road and I'm not talking about when they're responding to an emergency, I'm talking about just driving around
Gratefully accepting a gift even if it's not what you wanted or something you don't like. You never know what that person had to do or give up to get you that gift. And to me, that takes real maturity.
#4 My Dad taught me to own up to my mistakes no matter how bad they are and no matter what the consequences may be. #1 I tend to look at all possible sides of a discussion and respecting the opinions of others before making a decision.
I'm a teenager, and I fit about 20 or so of these requirements to be more mature. But I still find it very hard to leave the argument without having the last word. :)
I like #17 "more thinking and less talking". I try to teach my son that everyday. I tell him,"You can't listen and talk at the same time because your brain is too busy thinking of what words to say to someone instead of hearing what the other person is saying to you. So take turns talking and listening, but ALWAYS stay on topic."
completely sang along in the opening and then finished the theme song.. love that show.. the only one of these I don't already do is "not posting anger on social media" however I don't always I usually just scroll when I see something I don't like but when I do say something I never point directly at someone and I try as hard as I can to be well spoken and directly address the problem not the ones causing the problem..
Taking care of your body -- eating healthy, working out, sleeping enough, etc. -- not because someone told you to (mom, doctor, girlfriend) but because you know it's good for you.
A teacher once said to me: 'the highest form of intelligence is humor' I guess making people smile in difficult situations (or giving confidence) is a sign of maturity as well.
The number 1 thing that shows a persons maturity is to realize that nobody is ever perfect and everybody will at times fail to do the mature thing - and then live with maturity being an impossible to fully achieve virtue.
All I can say about myself is I am very independent, always do my best to help people. My family thinks I should do things for money. I always tell them that money isn't important to me, knowing I can make people happy is the most important thing to me alongside side doing what is morally the right thing to do.
I think the biggest sign of maturity (and something I hope to achieve) is knowing what you want and sticking to it. You don't have to work super hard to have a lot of money if you're actually satisfied with less just because society says that's what success is. You don't have to build a family, or even get along with people at all if you're honestly happier without that. Being honest with yourself regardless of what people in general think of how you live is the hardest and the most mature thing I can think of.
The "Being able to change your opinions" one is something my parents need to know. I present them with evidence and facts on why they are incorrect and how I'm correct, yet they ignore it and continue being wrong and I have to suffer for it. At least I'm mature enough to listen and consider what they have to say.
Another sign of maturity: Using that thing called common sense. Some of us have it and we use it, while others thought they had it and get themselves hurt and/or in trouble.
Number eleven kind of confirmed my college choice for me. It was either 2 2/3 years of non-stop work, or two years with summer breaks. Bachelor's vs. Associate's. I also practice number one often. I wish more people could do it too.
Harambe my first dentist was also horrible at her job. So my first few trips to a dentist were consistently painful because they didnt understand that i metabolized the numbing agents extremely fast and could feel everything they were doing. So naturally my young mind associated dentists with severe pain.
A green R Exercising moderation is absolutely a sign of maturity. It also shows up in ways like going to bed at a reasonable hour when you have work/school the next day, or setting responsible limits on your intake of alcohol/other substances.
Another tip: Watch this video with a constructive critical mindset that looks at ways you can improve, NOT ways that you're already achieving these things and thinking of others around you that aren't.
Being able to forgive someone, not for their sake, but for yours. It only harms you to carry that burden around with you all the time. Put it down and keep walking; you'll feel so much better.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity I'm not inclined to resign to maturity If it's all right, then you're all wrong But why bounce around to the same down song? You'd rather run when you can't crawl [Refrain] I know, you know, that I'm not telling the truth I know, you know, they just don't have any proof Embrace the deception, learn how to bend Your worst inhibitions tend to psych you out in the end In the realm of complements there isn't any higher than A fabricated misdirection fashioned by a liar You think you hate, all that you love Acting so surprised when it fits you like a glove If you want to find the answers, then I offer a solution I'm the one who's got a dose of healthy disillusion If it's a game yeah, you wanna play You better load the dice cus' they'll do it anyway, but You'd rather run when you can't crawl [Refrain] I know, you know, that I'm not telling the truth I know, you know, they just don't have any proof Embrace the deception, learn how to bend Your worst inhibitions, they'll psych you out in the end [Outro] I know you know I know you know I know you know I know you know
This is one of the most mature and well written lists, that I have ever heard, thank you. If all adults abided by this, the world would be a much better place. 🤗

I am truly sorry to hear that. My father went through all of that as well so I know (second hand) what you're going though. I love making people laugh and brightening up their days, so I am so glad I could help at least in that sense. ~Mike
I think it would be very helpful if this could be taught in schools. I think too many parents may be too busy trying to stay alive or are simply unqualified to teach their children at home.
Normally I can think of a few things to add at the end of your lists, not this time. You hit the nail right on the head with this one. Great list man, I will be sharing.
Robin Gilliver This comment was one of the worst comments I have read in all time. The ideology flaws are retardedly big. It's a two-way street my friend... Edit: If this seems out of context, it's because he deleted his comment.
I always knew my parents weren't perfect. I did the opposite and dismissed every one of their flaws. That didn't turn out very well either because I took personal responsibility for everything. That's just as bad. I didn't know there was a middle ground. It's sometimes okay to make something about you and not them. If you don't, you don't matter.
never expect anyone to do what your not willing to do or learn to do. this does not mean never ask anyone to do what you cannot do because of physical reason and/or disability, or you have not learned to do it.
GOOD MORNING LIST 25, ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY ON OUR BLUE/GREEN MARBLE IN THE VAST OPENESS OF SPACE BALL WE CALL HOME..... HOPE YA HAVEIN A GREAT DAY, SEE YA TOMORROW MORNING ;)
list25 I TRY MY FRIEND I TRY,.. SOMETIMES ITS HARD ON OUR HOME TO BE HAPPY, BUT I JUST LOOK FOR ANY speck of light in the darkness and head to it always havin postive thoughts on the way there...... keep smiling
Wow, your video Mike really was such a good way to tie in and connect to society's problems today. It really was a nice compilation and clever way to give us all a different outlook on the current day America. Simply just giving this look on life in general
I'm a 14 year old teenager who hates my class. Not the individuals but the class as a group. Our teacher in Swedish is still young and unexperienced to teaching teenagers, he had some of us a few years ago too. My class finds any possibility to not work on most lessons and generally tries to anger this teacher. Today he had to go and hear some of my classmates' bookreviews since we've worked with that for a couple of weeks. It went totally chaos in the classroom and as usual the girls started to make "musical.ly:s". They tried to make a kind of video in which you are supposed to stand still. As one of the few actually working on any lesson I got really tired of them and started to wave my hands so the videos wouldn't work out as planned, the girls got really mad ,and as usual when they get mad, I used my most boring and extremely, grammatical correct way of talking. They tried ~4 times with failure before the guys started to hit me for being annoying or something. After some more failed musical.ly:s the "sporty" guy tried to get me out of the room by lifting me. Since he couldn't get me out alone (and I'm kinda impressed he couldn't) another guy helped him and made the dumb mistake to drag me outside the classroom where the Swedish teacher were. I think you can assume what happened afterwards. But the worst part is that the girls recorded when I tried to escape the boys' arms and sat and laughed at me for it. And yes, I told them that I hated the class as a whole and their way of behaving. I'm kinda glad it's just 1,5 years left until high school is over 😧
your school life doesn't reflect at all on what life is really like, whereas things may seem to pan out well in school, life outside of it is VERY black and white, it either is, or it isn't. Never get confused with blurred lines. you live or you die and yes, you too hold that power in your hands. Do they live? or do they die? life is unforgiving, school means nothing at all, enjoy a full life and go without fear.
Mike I really loved this video !!! I know a lot of people that have problems with the number 16 ! And some of the other numbers to be honest ! Good job as usual!!!
One thing that makes you mature is "Admit that you're childish."
Adults can be too mature and too serious sometimes.
Actions speak louder than words but not nearly as often. The amount of people who forget that listening is also an action is rather staggering.
The Wanderer I love this comment section
its full of people like you

I'm constantly fighting with myself to be a more mature person... and succeeding in that.
"No sense crying over spilled milk" You've obviously never lived below the poverty line.

FACT: the U.S. poverty line was created assuming that at least one person in the family can cook...
Harambe today's generations are royally fucked!!! At what point were girls taught that it's cute to not know how to cook??? They think it makes them look innocent but it just makes them look fucking stupid

Most of us are Mature enough; until the BUBBLE WRAP comes out. LOL!!
LOL, so true - Juan
Tarathathe77wookiee i must say that there is almost no truer statement than this....lol
Except for that stupid anti-popping bubble wrap!!! UGH! Why??? ~Mike
Tarathathe77wookiee lol...
Yes!! Or someone passing gas...
I know, I know....
It is silly but, I laugh until I actually pass gas.🙄🤔🤠🤣
26. Doing your required job duties yourself without passing any of them off to someone else just because you don't want to do them yourself.
Robin Hays that was on the list
Robin Hays hmm I don't think that's being immature I think that's called being shellfish.
List25 is one of the few channels that actually reply to comments. Thank you for that.
You're welcome. We love reading and replying to comments. ~Mike

Setting aside your differences, swallowing your pride, and focusing more on who the person is rather than what they have whether it's the color of their skin, the amount of money, etc. Being the best you can be and improving each day is more important.
Not being a social leech is a good characteristic of independence and maturity
Having to plan a parent's funeral will make you grow up really fast. Dealing with the issues that come flooding through after said loss will help you grow up a lot more.
Regards the merging thing - if you can't be bothered to turn your signal on I can't be bothered to let you in.
That one annoying person who doesn't use turn signals
Police are the worst for not following rules of the road and I'm not talking about when they're responding to an emergency, I'm talking about just driving around
I'm never going to get to #14. It won't matter if I live to be 100. Thanks for this list. it was great. Have a fantastic day!
Gratefully accepting a gift even if it's not what you wanted or something you don't like. You never know what that person had to do or give up to get you that gift. And to me, that takes real maturity.

"Letting conversations go is a _crucial_ life skill."
And one I'm still struggling with. 😟
I like #17 "more thinking and less talking". I try to teach my son that everyday. I tell him,"You can't listen and talk at the same time because your brain is too busy thinking of what words to say to someone instead of hearing what the other person is saying to you. i have a harder time doing most mature things considering i have anger issues...but i try and will continue to do so.
Not getting mad at people who see things differently
This validates my actions, when some people think I'm too nice. Great list!
I'm about 2/3 to being mature according to this video!
Being more considerate unconditionally about the needs of other people than that of yourself
completely sang along in the opening and then finished the theme song.. love that show..
the only one of these I don't already do is "not posting anger on social media" however I don't always I usually just scroll when I see something I don't like but when I do say something I never point directly at someone and I try as hard as I can to be well spoken and directly address the problem not the ones causing the problem..

I guess making people smile in difficult situations (or giving confidence) is a sign of maturity as well.
many of the things you describe can be summed up in one word. Humility.
My dad needs to watch this. He needs to work on all but "allowing someone to change lanes".
The number 1 thing that shows a persons maturity is to realize that nobody is ever perfect and everybody will at times fail to do the mature thing - and then live with maturity being an impossible to fully achieve virtue.

I have mastered maturity. Great video!! “Maturity is built from experience” that makes me 90 years old in my soul. No wonder I’m exhausted
You just admitted your not matute lol
The "Being able to change your opinions" one is something my parents need to know. I present them with evidence and facts on why they are incorrect and how I'm correct, yet they ignore it and continue being wrong and I have to suffer for it. At least I'm mature enough to listen and consider what they have to say.
Accepting Election Results........................makes you a mature HUMAN
AHHHHHHHHH IT A COMMENT FROM THE MAN HIMSELF
Donald J. Trump - Doesn't mean we gotta like or agree with them.
this isn't the real Donald Trump
This is unverified channel and this person is impersonating Trump.
Rachael Olberding ok
I think being wise enough to properly manage your time between family/friends work/school, and fun
Another sign of maturity: Using that thing called common sense. Some of us have it and we use it, while others thought they had it and get themselves hurt and/or in trouble.
Accepting help if you need it and recognising independence is never absolute. Taking responsibility is a balancing act.
Number eleven kind of confirmed my college choice for me. It was either 2 2/3 years of non-stop work, or two years with summer breaks. Bachelor's vs. Associate's.
I also practice number one often. I wish more people could do it too.
A massive fear of dentists made #10 really hard to overcome...but extremely satisfying once I did.
David Godfrey I have brittle teeth. My first ever visit to a dentist was to get a tooth pulled when I was 6
Justin LeClair then, wouldn't the dentist fix the teeth?
Harambe my first dentist was also horrible at her job. So my first few trips to a dentist were consistently painful because they didnt understand that i metabolized the numbing agents extremely fast and could feel everything they were doing.
So naturally my young mind associated dentists with severe pain.
I'm besties with my dentist we get together and eat Oreos
Is Mike a dentist or something? This is like the 100th time he's brought up flossing.
Yeah, he's an undercover dentist. He said so on his Facebook page.
Best 25 in a long time...Very relevant to our daily lives and interaction with others.....Should be saved and reviewed regularly....
Great list. Very valid points.
This video made me feel smarter and more confident about who I am
Not panicking too fast. Especially when someone is late and trying their best to get out the door no matter where they are
Thank you, List25, for reminding me how mature I am. I feel old and wise.
budgeting and eating a reasonably balanced diet are mature
A green R Exercising moderation is absolutely a sign of maturity. It also shows up in ways like going to bed at a reasonable hour when you have work/school the next day, or setting responsible limits on your intake of alcohol/other substances.
Being able to admit when you are wrong and apologize. If the apology is not accepted, being ok.
I like to think of myself as mature but after watching this video I can see that there is room for improvement.
Another tip: Watch this video with a constructive critical mindset that looks at ways you can improve, NOT ways that you're already achieving these things and thinking of others around you that aren't.
"This requires a _lot_ of humility."
I think we should emphasize, though, that humility and humiliation are not the same thing.
Being able to forgive someone, not for their sake, but for yours. It only harms you to carry that burden around with you all the time. Put it down and keep walking; you'll feel so much better.
I'm 28 and now I feel like I have 58... thanks list25
one thing that is a sure sign of maturity is not calling someone immature.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity
If it's all right, then you're all wrong
But why bounce around to the same down song?
You'd rather run when you can't crawl
[Refrain]
I know, you know, that I'm not telling the truth
I know, you know, they just don't have any proof
Embrace the deception, learn how to bend
Your worst inhibitions tend to psych you out in the end
In the realm of complements there isn't any higher than
A fabricated misdirection fashioned by a liar
You think you hate, all that you love
Acting so surprised when it fits you like a glove
If you want to find the answers, then I offer a solution
I'm the one who's got a dose of healthy disillusion
If it's a game yeah, you wanna play
You better load the dice cus' they'll do it anyway, but
You'd rather run when you can't crawl
[Refrain]
I know, you know, that I'm not telling the truth
I know, you know, they just don't have any proof
Embrace the deception, learn how to bend
Your worst inhibitions, they'll psych you out in the end
[Outro]
I know you know
I know you know
I know you know
I know you know
Thanks for confirming how mature I am.
Especially a good ol' thanks for calling out all the morons who went insane over the elections.
This is one of the most mature and well written lists, that I have ever heard, thank you. If all adults abided by this, the world would be a much better place. 🤗
Hey Mike thanks for singing at the start of the video. I am really sick post chemo and your singing made me smile I needed a smile so hugs for that. You always manage to make me smile. your vids have helped take my mind off dying.
I am truly sorry to hear that. My father went through all of that as well so I know (second hand) what you're going though. I love making people laugh and brightening up their days, so I am so glad I could help at least in that sense. ~Mike
Though hard, this is something we'll all get, though more slowly than previous generations.
Omg, I loved the TV show Psych...the thing he sang in the beginning is from Psych
I'm surprised at how solid this list is. Keep it up.
Often times people throw away common things like being polite, respectful, and keeping their vulgarity down in favor of doing whatever they feel.
paying your bills on time

List 25 Hey Mike!
That wasn't me, but hello. ~Mike
list25 lol an imposter on the loose!
That singing he did was really really good.
As soon as you started singing I liked the video.
We need to be reminded all of the time because we forget about what were supposed to do that's why I would make a reminder on my cellphone
This is really great. It's my birthday today and I just turned 18 so I'll be sure to carry this advice with me now that I'm an adult. Thanks so much!
Love how he started with the Psych theme song. Lol. God, I love that show. Love that they made a movie of it, but so wish the show was back.
The best of list 25. I really enjoyed this list. Made me see how mature I really am. Thank you
- Getting out of bed on the first alarm without clicking snooze
I have not mastered this
I have sacrificed and put others before myself and now I'm still unsuccessful. Sometimes it's beneficial to be selfish
If you come across things that are beyond your control accept what you can't change the sooner you do the easier it becomes
I freaking love this channel 😊 I am 37 years old and I still learning stuff.... Love you guys, keep up the good work!!!!
Thank gosh someone made this video!
Swifty / Grizzlybear... Thank Mike Mike made this video
Being able to keep all your things tied at all times. Always cleaning the second you make a mess
I'm early, let me think of a joke
Mike calling himself mature
HAH!
Roasted!
TheBoomguy64 I prefer boiled potatos
alpha jackson LOL xD
I agree with almost all of these , Except number 6 partially. If someone asks you of your accomplishments, why cant I share them? They asked...
When he started singing Psych's opening theme song! Nostalgia hit me hard
This is surprisingly a very good list. Well done!
Thank you! Glad you liked it :) - Juan
Ok, so I just marinated some chicken breast. Where does that put me?
Probably, the best video on this channel so far.
never expect anyone to do what your not willing to do or learn to do. this does not mean never ask anyone to do what you cannot do because of physical reason and/or disability, or you have not learned to do it.
good video I've had every one of these down for a long time especially in the pendants that I had to learn to fend for myself at an early age
GOOD MORNING LIST 25, ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY ON OUR BLUE/GREEN MARBLE IN THE VAST OPENESS OF SPACE BALL WE CALL HOME..... HOPE YA HAVEIN A GREAT DAY, SEE YA TOMORROW MORNING ;)
Thank you Kristopher for the awesome positivity! - Juan
list25 I TRY MY FRIEND I TRY,.. SOMETIMES ITS HARD ON OUR HOME TO BE HAPPY, BUT I JUST LOOK FOR ANY speck of light in the darkness and head to it always havin postive thoughts on the way there...... keep smiling
Not changing how you act depending on who is or isn't around you (eg. being polite only when someone who would hold you accountable is near).
The last one people, the last one! 5:24 To simply consider multiple points of view to begin with is nice.
Wow, your video Mike really was such a good way to tie in and connect to society's problems today. It really was a nice compilation and clever way to give us all a different outlook on the current day America. Simply just giving this look on life in general
Few things I can work on. Sometimes we need a reminder.
why is flossing is in a lot of your list....I guess I really need to floss... thanks for adding more responsibilities
Me too, it makes me upset myself because I really need to go to the dentist.

I'm autistic, I can do a lot of this but somethings appear to be impossible, for the same reasons that they are hard/imposible for children/teens.
Very good list. If I were to summarise, most of these recommend letting go of pride which is a good thing.
Had to do some major self checks. I am not perfect but I am mature. I love your vids. Especially when Mike does the intro.
That's the theme from "Psych" at the beginning! I love that show.
