- Why so serious? Whether it's a health issue, an environmental issue, or a geopolitical issue, there are a lot of things out there that are more serious than people realize. The problem is that quite often we are focused on the wrong ones. Everybody thinks that terrorism is the biggest threat facing their well-being when in reality it's the sugar drink in their hand! These are 25 things that are a lot more serious than people think.
25 Things That Are A Lot More Serious Than People Think | List25
Stress - This can cause major problems and greatly decrease your quality of life.
Concussions - You could have one and not even know.
Arthritis - Yes, your grandma may complain about it, but it’s more serious than you could imagine.
Power tools - There are warning labels for a reason.
Group think - It’s like a terrible version of a flash mob.
Psychological abuse - Which is worse, physical or psychological abuse? Watch to find out.
Antibiotic resistance - We’re building a tolerance, and that’s not good.
Owning dogs - Too many people get dogs without being ready for them.
Diabetes - We may joke about “diabeetus” but it’s more serious than that.
Dental hygiene - Dentures aren’t fun.
Depression - You can’t just “feel happier”
Being alone - Without even a volleyball to keep you company.
Sleep - There’s a reason 8 hours a night is suggested.
Texting while driving - Is it worth the risk to send that text?
Ocean acidification - Just look at the Great Barrier Reef.
The number of prisoners in America - America ranks high, and that’s no joke.
The bee die-off - You’re gonna miss them when they’re gone.
Mass paranoia - This kind of goes along with Group Think, in a more severe manner.
Human trafficking - The fact that this is still going on is just awful.
OCD - A lot of people THINK they have it, but for those that do, it’s no laughing matter.
Added sugar - It’s in more things than you think.
Sitting - You’re probably doing this right now.
Suicide - “Suicide is Painless” could not be more wrong.
Diet - You don’t want to pay for it when you’re older.
Melanoma - It’s so simple to prevent. Just do it!

Sun burn causes cancer, sunscreen causes cancer, and staying inside causes cancer. What am I supposed to do?
Do the one that is least harmful ofcourse
Sun is the most harmful.
Sunscreen is 2nd most harmful
and staying inside is 3rd
unless you like NEVER go out which is actually impossible since you need to shop for stuff
So yeah.. ''staying inside'' is best option.
Moderation
Smoke weed
Go outside In the night
You think for yourself stop blaming other people for what you fo or not knowing what you should.
Despite all of this, people only care about what a celebrity does during their day.
Actually, only people who care about what a given celebrity does during their day do care.
I love your user name! It's so perfect!
Your so deep
ah finally someone with the sense to realize the difference between type 1 and 2 diabetes and the decency to clarify their mistake about not stating the type. The amount of times I get told my diabetes is my fault, or you don't look like a diabetic because of misinformation, thank you so much for adding that editors note, it made my day!
I have Type 1 diabetes,I was diagnosed two months ago. We found out after I spent three or more months losing hair, losing weight and dealing with severe amounts anxiety and stress.
I don't wanna sound stupid, but what is the difference? Is Type 1 caused by genetics or from birth and Type 2 is caused by bad diet? I guess I could just Google it.
Been a Type 1 for 55 of my 58 years. No severe complications thus far. What he says sounds like what my pediatrician told me when I was 13. While those are possibilities, if you take care of yourself (which is so much easier now than it was in the 60's and 70's). You will live a long and happy life. However, this kind of brings up the whole group think thing as well. I tend to believe very few conspiracy theories, but big pharma being solidly against curing diabetes is one I believe in. We diabetics are a huge cash cow for big pharma.
As someone who's dealt with mental abuse and depression, I'm glad to see both of them listed on here.
“Every hour get up and walk around.” My classes are two hours long and they pretty much never let you up. It’s great.
Yeeeah, people calling their pickiness "OCD" can get reeeally annoying for those of us who've suffered with the real thing 😒
Lucifer Morningstar Actually, I suffered from it as a teen and sought treatment, which helped a lot. Sooo your attempted assholery falls flat.
i used to have OCD, but it had nothing to do with order, it was more of a "everyone around me is gonna go insane or die of some disease, and my future child is gonna have down syndrome if i don't move my hands like drawing a cross or an X on some random place i recently touched" type.
Chronically Fabulous I understand how you feel. I have severe OCD (germaphobia) that causes me to cut, attempt suicide, push people away and use drugs.
Yes I agree, i really hate when people keep using OCD as a joke and think it's all to do with preferences when it's actually a real illness, it's sad that many people need to be educated about it. I never make jokes about any mental illness because it just creates more stigma and it will stop people from getting the help they need.
I'm arthritic at the age of 24, with a diabetic bloodline, depressed to the asphalt level, not to mention, jobless and single. Yet I manage to hang on. If you are young enough, try to divert your thoughts. Try art or adventure of any kind. Or anything else you love.
As a survivor, I can confirm #20. The physical stuff -- the bruises, the cuts, the split lips -- all that heals with time. The psychological wounds... those don't.
I’m glad you mentioned OCD. I believe TV especially has almost ‘glamourised’ it with all the shows about obsessive compulsive cleaning... I’ve been diagnosed with OCD for years and people often laugh at me if I tell them because I’m not the worlds most organised person... OCD is bloody hard to live with! It’s plunged me into a depression that felt endless more times than I can count... it makes me sad when people throw around the phrase ‘oh that gets on my OCD’ because it shoves the real sufferers further and further from the light... so thank you
sucks because I suffer from a lot of what you said, depression, stress, being alone. shit I am fucked lol
Kevin Parks You and me both!!!
Kevin Parks you n me both!!! and for some reason some of the time, very rarely, I am so happy I could explode gig of my deppresion: media.riffsy.com/images/1eb3349677d9107cab44cf17d366915a/raw
:( thats sad
Kevin Parks Same! To add to it I suffer from mental YAY LIFE IS GREAT
depression, stress, being alone, OCD, sitting for too long, fear, I have made slow recovery attempts. I think weed revealed the problems I was neglecting, great fear and great confidence, an endless cycle, fear and confidence is a bad combination, trying o balance, lack of control and more attempt to control the chaos, I hated that feeling because it was so terror, the war on drugs I don't oppose or support. my ocd is constant doubt because an atheist doubt is apparently good, doubt everything the atheist say along with skeptics, eventually I did doubt everything, science, reality, my existence, is doubt really good afterall??? the answer is bull shit. reasonable doubt not excessive skepticism.
Thanks for talking about Rheumatoid arthritis. People don't realize that osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid are two totally different things. I constantly have to be vigilant about my eyes and heart because of the damage RA has already done. In case anybody is curious, RA is an autoimmune disorder. People just think that it's joint pain. I really loved this entire piece actually. Great work Mike and crew.
8:35........sooooo school is literally killing us
Cameron Harper yeah, school istourture and a form of forced suicide
Not to mention the average office job where you sit at a desk all day.
we go there for a reason. school is not the only place where we sit.
No... didn't he just say a good tip is to walk around a bit every hour? Well, classes usually aren't drastically longer than that (I only say this because I don't know other schools, mine its 48 min) and you walk for about five minutes to get to the next class.
Cassidy Graybosch Mine are almost an hour and we have 5 minutes to walk to next class but what about kids in elementary? When I was in elementary school we would sit the whole time and only be allowed to get up twice and that was recess and lunch only
Mike, I know this is later than the rest, but I think you're great just as you are. You always do such a good job with the videos. Don't worry so much about your weight. Taking is off slowly is the best way to take & off & keeping it off. Eat in moderation, exercise as often as you can (at least walk, it does wonders) but don't overdo it, & the pounds (kgs) will come off & stay off. But anyway, I think you're great just as you are, you're not fat. You're just barely fluffy.
itsallgood today
I agree, Mike!!! Just eat healthy, and don't deny yourself the guilty pleasures, just enjoy them less often. Everyone knows the forbidden fruit is much sweeter, and know that we love you just the way you are!
Agreed!!! Love you guys! Y’all r great! 😉👍🏻💜✌🏻💯💋
Your 2017 lists have been on point. Great job.
4:56 my names Tristan and I'm watching this at 12:00 am. That scared the crap out of me.
Tristan Thibodeau hahahaha
Those resistant strains of bacterial infections ARE serious! Just since 2002, I have had MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) A TOTAL OF 17 TIMES. Two of those times were almost fatal for me. It's weird because no one else who lives in our house has ever had it. I guess I'm the only "lucky" one. 🙄
The biggest thing I have learned from all of this is that people just should not take antibiotics for every little sniffle that comes along. By overusing antibiotics, we're actually hurting ourselves...BIG time...
It happened multiple times to me that other people laughed at me or acted with incredulity when I was saying that I need and want to have my 8 hours of sleep. It's like a crime or something....
Mike I think your huggable and absolutely adorable. l smile every time I see you. Thank you for that! Happiness to you
Over the years, I've cut my fingers with a hand saw, smashed my thumbs with a hammer, and had a screwdriver go halfway through my hand sideways when trying to open a can of paint. Hand tools aren't that safe, either.😳
Carol Schneider jesus- never trust hand tools
Aus$1.50 paint can opener.
Use cardboard to hold nails to get them started so your hand is nowhere near them. ☺
HOW DO PEOPLE THINK HUMAN TRAFFICKING ISN'T A BIG DEAL
Is Mayonnaise An Instrument? I think they just don't realize how much it happens.
"the death of one man is a tragedy.the death of a million is a statistic"
It's the same thing here.Unfortunately people seem unable to comprehend numbers like that, which can make them desensitized to the crime.
Is Mayonnaise An Instrument? PizzaGate
Because people don’t know about it. I went most of my life thinking it was just prostitution. I didn’t know it was kidnapping until recently.
People don’t think that’s serious?! I can’t believe it.
I have skin cancer and didn't catch it in time, mine was located on my scalp so it spread to my bones and then to my bone marrow. and no, i didnt get it from being out in the sun to much because I was never out in the sun. im stage 4 and had no way of knowing something was wrong until it was too late and had to be in the icu for 3 weeks. you can google it if you like but you dont need to be exposed to the sun to get to stage 4 skin cancer.
May God be with you
How are you doing now? Any updates?
Mike, you're one fabulous dude. Xxx
Why thank you! ~Mike
list25 you're welcome!! Xxx
Golden Falcon i think he meant if you dont have type 1 exercise to help prevent getting type 2
I'm really glad to see OCD on this list. I am pure O, and it's good to see awareness is growing. Contamination OCD is bad enough, but there are a lot of different branches to this disease, each one being a foundation for stress and depression (which are also on the list). Great list, guys!
sitting? oh when i tell my school about this...
...they'll do absolutely nothing. Just the way the world works :|
They don't listen to us.We look like shit to them cause of the bastards who show off their superiority.Even if we get cancer, they expect us to go to school and then they give us bad grades(happily for them) on listening, out of nowhere, which gives us much stress, and following psyhical abuse with over a half of this video's list aplying on us. Fuckin creeps
I haven't see the sun shining in 5 years :( ... yes, I live in England.
areamusicale me too :( remind me what it looks like I've forgotten
it must be somewhere up there in the sky .... behind those trails left by the airplanes ....
areamusicale ENGLAND also da fuq is the sun
areamusicale i live in england but i don't understand whats the sun
Flying Squirrel gather round fluffy woodland creatures and I shall tell you the myth, the legend that has been retold by generations of our ancestors, who lived on this small island as we did many years ago....
I really need to stop stressing so much...
Beer nMetal sit back and smoke a joint
haha... I don't smoke, but maybe I should start (joints that is, not cigarettes).
Beer nMetal yeah smoking every now and then is good for you but too much can be quite bad
I'm generally paranoid and leery of people, their motives, etc. Most of my friends smoke pot, buy it from "their guys" and everything's fine. But I'd feel like I'd need to grow it myself, so I could see exactly what's going into it and not have to worry about accidentally buying it from the wrong person. Plus, I don't live in a state where it's legal, so there are no regulations on it here.
Beer nMetal you could get it from a friend who has experience with his dealer or a friend who grows it, you should research before you consider it tho
Prisons for profit. A very bad idea.
It’s an absolutely horrendous and inhumane idea, the less food and less things they offer prisoners even stuff that should be granted for basic human rights can be held back so the prison can make a bigger profit.
Prisons for profit and nursing homes for profit differ mostly in their clientele.
Thanx mike and tristan. I have ALOT of the issues that U addressed in this video. Although chronic pain conditions such as (Fibromyalgia, I have it) are also extremely bad. Having this one condition can lead to hundreds of others... it's not just a pain it's a total destruction of ur life. I've lost the ability at times to do anything and everything that "normal people" are capable of.
This is one of my favorite lists. Maybe also because of how Mike called Tristan to talk about diet and make the trolls shut up.
But really, I do enjoy this channel so much! I bing-watch your lists.
Me too! 👍🏻
This was a good list. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when i was 31. It is no joke that it changes your life. I'm on meds now and it is "under control" as well as it can be. Hey, at least i can dress myself now, huh? lol Gotta keep a positive outlook.
6:38 Oh how I wish people would realise this.
As soon as you said "wear sunscreen" I knew where you were going with it! I loved that song! I still do! Love the videos ❤️!
I just want to thank you. For saying that depression and emotional trauma is REALLY a big deal. As a person who has depression and emotional trauma, I can relate. It's like feeling you're alone and sad and can't do anything about it. People say that depressed people are all suicidal. Well, some are but, not all. They just feel 'lost' and empty. Sometime you just feel 'sad' and you don't even know why. Imagine you're having the best day of your life and then, BAM, you feel down. You feel alone. Then you won't have the motivation to do anything. It's a serious thing. So is emotional abuse. It can cause depression. It can also cause fears that make you petrified and can also cause serious triggers. Take that into thought.
Great video guys!
It's good to see that these issues are being talked about.
A +1 is the "It's not going to be a problem in my lifetime" mentality.
This usually comes up at environmental issues.
I love Mike and Tristan's friendship 😂
So do I! LoL ~Mike
list25 Your friendship is like a brotherly one and it is cool.
#15, depression, is probably one of the most underrated diseases. Most people look at it as a thing that will eventually go away, like a cold, but what they don't realize is that it's not only hereditary, but can be fatal. I have meds from the VA and a couple of years ago when I was diagnosed AT the VA I realized then and there this was what caused a LOT of life altering issues for me. What's funny/strange is when I started taking the meds everyone around me started noticing changes ( they didn't know I was on the meds). I was happier, more approachable, listened more, talked less, etc. My mom suffers from it and I think my dad as well, but he died in '08, so I'll never know for sure.
Anyway, another great video, glad I'm a subscriber!! Keep 'em comin'!!!
as a survivor of psychological abuse, THANK YOU.
And shades! My mom died of ocular melanoma, it's SO hard to ecatch it without regular eye exams and if u don't need glasses...u see the trouble. Cover everything!
Than-you for 6:42! I have said this to people over the last 10 years and nobody understood what I was saying... Common damn sense I think!
I appreciate the facts about depression and ocd, really you provide clarity. Allot of people don't know enough about mood disorders. I was diagnosed with bipolar type 2 and panic and anxiety in 2ond grade (I'm 33 now) most people don't know what it is. so really seriously I thank you so much for that. ❤
THANK YOU... i thank you for including the clinically depressed position on this list, because I get that all the time from people that dont understand me and just say something like " oh, it cant be that bad... just lighten up!"
"If I could offer you one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it." OMG I miss that song...
Does anyone else know where this quote comes from?
Groupthink is not just large groups, it starts with 2-3 people easily
Depression has got to be the worst disease. It causes 10 other things on this list including loneliness, poor hygiene, diabetes, fear, vitamin and mineral deficiency, suicide, anxiety, etc. If you think you're depressed, get help.... now.
Thank you guys so much for putting #20 in there, honestly. I've been fighting my depression due to mental abuse but when I reported it I was told since I was over the age of 10 there was nothing they could do. That year I overdosed on medication and survived, I truly wish I didn't but no one knows how bad it really is.
That diet one is so true people just take diet pills or just eat less when all you need to do is eat more healthy foods and go for walks now and then.
The one about sitting I've heard before. Where do we do the most sitting? SCHOOL AND WORK! Yeah I know theres P.E. and other things like sports, and you do get up and walk to your other classes every, what 50 minutes or so, but thats still about evenly 4-5 hours of sitting, not in a row but added up. And work. I have never worked seeing as I am still in school but I can only assume jobs like working in an office or something like that doesn't require much physical strength. I'm not saying all jobs are like that only some and I'm not saying all schools are like that only MOST. The reason I say most is because it's true. And also with technology, phones, Xbox, PS4, THE COMPUTER I'M TYPING THIS ALL ON, really adds on to this, if you over use it. I mean I LOVE my computer its fun playing games and stuff, but i don't use it 24/7. Well my rant is done. :>
Awesome list y'all, really! It's so easy to talk about the good things life has in store. It's the bad things people don't want to face, think or talk about, but, can be the most important!
Bravo!!
I learned a few things. But also I have seen some of these as truths myself.
Nothing gets my "let me educate you about that ..." going more than when someone says to just go for a walk or just think happy thoughts when you are down or depressed.
Depression is NOT just feeling blue, everyone experiences that from time to time. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. How can you just go for a walk when it's all you can do to sit vertically and go to the bathroom, never mind go outside!! It takes a friend or family member who truly cares, medication and therapy (with the right therapist) to be able to live, maybe not like most of the rest of the community, but to be able to walk out the front door and be around other humans.
SAVE THE BEES!!! I know you said the world is better than it used to be, but it won't be if we don't save the BEES!! also I believe the world is less violent because of weed, and if weed were legal everywhere there'd be way less "prisoners" taking our tax dollars :-)
A very sobering video. I think I counted 10 on your list directly effecting me at this time.
If anyone reading this feels like they are in a trapped in a corner
ASK FOR HELP.
from anyone. If no one else, go to an Emergency room and ask to speak to someone. They will have people there you can talk to that want to help you. In fact sometimes its easier to talk to a stranger.
Oni Raptor yeah, I don't feel trapped, except in my own mind.
Crystalpaw and that, is just the common paranoia that every sentient being feels.
Thank you for bringing up OCD. I ACTUALLY have it and it's ruining my life. It angers me when people normalize. I'm actually in tears. Thank. You.
Number 26 is definitely anxiety. It isn't just nervousness, it's a constant state of fear and/or panic that can be caused by anything and everything. When people tell me to "calm down", I get more panicked because I think that something is wrong with me, like I'm not normal. Anixiety is terrible and controlling. If your friend seems slightly nervous all the time, tell him to get help. It will help him get his life under control.
Mike, you are not fat ...
I whould have put antibiotics, coral reef dieing and bees in the top 3 actualy.
sanY I too think so. He might be on the chubby end but far from fat!
Doreen Gonzalez no, he is fat
@@davidross5593 all of these are fat. Mike is fat and clearly so are you.
Actually, too much sunscreen can be bad as well. Everyone NEEDS sunlight. Everything in moderation. Sunlight without sunscreen = good. Getting burned to a crisp = not so good
I now can now give 1.2 million reasons why I have 4 adopted shelter dogs! Im completely serious when I say, I believe many adopted dogs realize the change in the care and their environment when you adopt them and I believe in their own way, they appreciate you more for it!
Thank you for mentioning Depression and stressing that it is more than just being sad.
I see what you did there with sunscreen.. Baz Luhrmann - "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)" !
any action where you say "hey, watch this" before performing said action
Thank you SO much for this video. I wanted to reach out and thank you. I don't usually comment on videos. Thank you for highlighting rheumatoid arthritis, TYPE ONE diabetes (and specifying the type!! :D :D :D ), and depression. These are things that are close to my heart. I have t1 diabetes as does my 7 year old daughter, diagnosed 1988 and 2016.... My husband has severe RA, and both of us suffer from depression and mental health issues. So seldom do people separate RA and regular types of arthristis and almost no one seems to realize how different type one and type two diabetes are! Thank you for a real and informed portrayal of why these health concerns are SO serious.
Thank you for adding psychological abuse. My friend went through this compliments of her "baby daddy". When she mustered up the courage to go to the YWCA for help they denied her any help because since he wasn't beating her. Therefore she wasn't being abused by him. He's gone but she still suffers from PTSD, depression and other problems because of psychological abuse.
Mike is literally daddy
I don't...what? LoL ~Mike
list25 😂😂😂
Bear status
I have suffered clinical depression as part of Bipolar Disorder. I have experienced this, and clinically depressed people I know agree:
You don't feel happy. You don't feel sad. You don't feel anything. You get irritable. Your mind gets scattered and attention suffers. And there are more symptoms. Check out webmd.com to get more information and DBSAlliance.org and NAMI.org.
J.K. Rowling in her Harry Potter series described Dementors as being synonymous with depression.
“Yes. That is exactly what they are. It was entirely conscious. And entirely from my own experience. Depression is the most unpleasant thing I have ever experienced. It is that absence of being able to envisage that you will ever be cheerful again. The absence of hope. That very deadened feeling, which is so very different from feeling sad. Sad hurts but it’s a healthy feeling. It’s a necessary thing to feel. Depression is very different.” - J.K Rowling when asked about dementors

Number 8 is spot on. I recall back in 2011 people were starting to think that the world was going to end because of Arab Spring. People in school were panicking because of the violence in the middle east but when our high school instructors told taught us a out previous conflicts like Vietnam, Yemeni Civil War in the late 20th century, World War 1 and 2, etc, it suddenly seemed like nothing compared to the pass.
Fuck off, Tristian. that's my godson's name... thanks Mike, as always, excellent video!
never mind, you made it good at #2.
So, I'm a type 1 diabetic, and we will not go blind and definitely won't have our fingers rot and fall off, as long as you don't have an A1C that's always over a readable level. Just one of those is very rare. Most of those happenings happen in 3rd world countries where health care is not as good as America's healthcare.
list25 I love what you guys are doing. Thank you so much for all of the information that you all provide for us all!☺👍👍👍👍
list 25, your videos are quite enjoyable, thank you. keep it up
I think I'm gonna go do some push ups
school is FUCKING US ALL UP
Gustavo Castro yeah
Gustavo Castro true
Thanks a lot Mike. This is a useful, if less upbeat list than your others. More to worry about and lose sleep over (also unhealthy). And South Fl. + hurricanes can lead to stress too. And global warming flooding, if and when.
Thank you for noting how serious rheumatoid arthritis can be. You can live a normal life with the disease, but flares, or just the progression of disease, can lead to horrific issues.
I have type 1 diabetes and if you take care of yourself with the right medical supplies you'll be fine
Awesome video :)
Thank you! Glad you liked it :) - Juan
list25 im new is the person talking juan?
DarkKrono yes I would think so
No. That would be me, Mike (unless you meant that is that comment written by Juan...then yes). Juan is our Project Manager. He used to narrate after David and before me (See: ruclips.net/video/JgrJt3u-A8U/видео.html). Checkout our entire crew (list25.com/about). ~Mike
list25 what did you mean when you said fake teeth?
I so much enjoy this informative channel, especially since it intrigues me enough to dig deeper into the subjects mentioned by searching other sites for more info!
One thing, though: The theme music - was it created exclusively for this page or was it found somewhere else? I'd like to get a copy of it if possible because it sounds funky and cool!
Thanx for 25, 20 and 15...people GOT to realize those things! You're almost never being listened to and respected for what it is!!! People can be sutch assholes!!
Ah the old sugar I drink 1.25 litres of cola a day my blood sugar is normal my health is fine and I exercise a lot daily.
Added sugar is bad but I disagree that we don't worry about it enough.
I won't change my habit even if it kills me it is one of the two things that brings me any form of happiness in life :P
Ryu Lightorb wow how old are you
***** 20
***** i guess you have a really good metabolism then
***** i guess im not sure but i get blood tests and tests for my health monthly since i have several issues (never went through puberty (body doesn't produce testosterone) and a thyroid issue.
Nice to know the state of my health.
How does carbonation affect carbohydrates? I drink carbonated water all the time and it says clearly on the label: Carbohydrates: 0 0%.
Great vid.... Do you guys have a second channel.
No. At least not yet. - Juan

😁😁 thanks for replying
I really appreciate that included dog ownership on your list. I learned this myself when I saw the flatbed truck the ASPCA uses to haul away the unlucky pets remains in Nyc.
Your videos are so good. Thanks for raising awareness on these things you mentioned.
Some of your facts are off. You said the world isn't a more violent place, followed by the fact that there are more slaves than ever... WTF?
Randall Slaughter They are facts even though they don't sound true but they are, that's why they're on this list, read the title
Michael Edmunds How do people end up in human trafficking? You'd have to be violent in order to kidnap people, most definitely against their will of course, I'd say at gunpoint or knifepoint. Violence surrounds human trafficking, so how is this world less violent then what it used to be if this shit is still going on? Slaves get abused in every aspect or murdered, is this not violence? This right here isn't true at all because the world isn't that much safe if people are still getting kidnapped and sold....against their will and since it happens a lot, it is the majority of violence.
Tonya Barnhill that just means that there was that much violence before, not that there isn't violence now
R Rosenstein True.
Tonya Barnhill blackmail and threats of violence are also effective ways of controlling people.
type 1 its nothing to do with being fat so get that fact right
Mark Greenway Thank you! lol You can be a rail and still get diabetes, even type 2. It's a dangerous stigma because some people don't worry when they should just because they aren't obese.
Mark Greenway How do we get it than
Rocky Type 1 is caused by an autoimmune reaction where the body attacks the pancreas causing it to stop or greatly reduce the production of insulin. You can be born with it or have it occur later in life. Type 1 is often considered a juvenile type of diabetes because it does show up earlier in life most of the time. Type 2 is the one most associated with adult onset and with overweight people. Still, you can get it even when not overweight if your lifestyle and diet are poor along with bad genes. Type 2 means you still produce insulin, but not enough or it doesn't work properly. My extended family has a history of diabetes.
Mark Greenway but wasnt that the point?? If you are lucky to not have type 1, make sure u dont get fat so you dont get type 2.
emfri You don't have to be fat to get type 2 . . . it increases your risk and your poor lifestyle (why many folks get overweight) increases risk, but being skinny doesn't prevent it. I think he was saying exercise because exercise in itself can help ward off diabetes.
Possibly one of my favorite videos on RUclips ever. A million thanks for this. Subscribing immediately.
Okay, so, my name is Tristen- and I wasn't paying attention, and all of a sudden I heard you say "You hear that Tristan? Get some sleep." I'm over here thinkin,' 'how does he know I have insomnia!?' Thanks for the jolt, and for the record, every time you say Tristan's name, I react- so thanks for that.
I'm sorry, I used to like this channel quite a lot, but recently your "research" has been absolutely horrible. For example: everything you said about "diabetes" is false or extremely misleading. Please at least differentiate between the two COMPLETELY different diseases (Type 1 DM and Type 2 DM).
1. You CAN eat sugars when you're diabetic, nearly impossible not to, and it's not even the sugars that diabetics are keeping an eye on, it's the CARBOHYDRATES.
2. No, it DOESN'T mean that you WILL go blind, there's a chance that your eyesight will worsen, even to the degree of blindness, but there is absolutely no certainty of that.
3. No, your fingers will NOT "rot" and "fall off", diabetes CAN cause damage to the blood vessels and especially in the capillaries, which in turn MIGHT cause nerve damage and a lack of blood flow in the extremities (more commonly in the feet). In the most extreme cases this can result in the amputation of the limb.
4. "Diabetics need their blood to constantly be replaced by a machine"? I'm baffled, I don't even know what to say. Where did you get this information from?
5. "...and then it will kill you" No, just no. Can diabetes kill you? Yes, most certainly if you DON'T count the carbohydrates or inject insulin properly. Typically the people who die due to "diabetes" don't actually die directly because of it, but instead from a disease or complications that have been caused by diabetes. There are a myriad of different kinds of health problems and diseases that you have a higher chance of developing (especially as a type 1 diabetic) but there is absolutely no certainty that you will get any of these diseases or health complications as long as you treat your diabetes (those with type 1 can't be cured so they will just have to treat it properly, but those with type 2 can be cured).
6. Type 1 diabetes IS NOT affected by the amount of exercise you do, or what you eat, it pretty much completely depends on both geno- and phenotype. Additionally, everyone with the ability to exercise should do it, this includes nearly all type 1 diabetics.
If you have this many mistakes WITHIN one of the subjects on this list, how can I be sure that you haven't made mistakes with the other subjects on this list? There is no way I can trust you, especially when you have no list of (credible) sources? I advice you to take this video down and actually do your research properly!
FusionFox that's a long comment
Yes it is, I heavily dislike the spreading of false information.
FusionFox don't you think he may have said type 1 by accident?
Doesn't matter because everyone, including both type 1 and 2 diabetics should exercise. Also, everything he said about diabetes, whether it was about type 1 or 2 (or both) is either
completely false or hugely misleading.

Hobo Baggins bc people pay too much attention to looks
which I wish personality counts
Hobo Baggins because not everyone has them
People always tend to like the things they don't have
I literally was drinking orange juice when they brought up the "added sugar" issue.
I spitted back out and grabbed water instead, thanks for that statement, I, too was told about the over consumption of sugar and my current diet on liquids.
Now if only I could sleep without getting a desire to watch more List 25 vids...
So happy you guys put psychological abuse up in the light, on a long term basis it'll most likely cause, as you said, PTSD and other illnesses such as the ones you put on the list (depression, OCD). Like myself, I was under psychological abuse (bullying in this case) for a long time, and developed PTSD and severe depression among others. And that about depression was right too, it's stupid as hell to tell a depressed person to "cheer up" and "be happy", it only causes more harm.
on 19 if your going to blame anyone for that start with the Chinese not "us."
Uhh... what the hell are you talking about?
Ur Cool Mike and tristan
I just hate it when people joke about being "depressed" or "not having any friends" when they don't know how hard it really is.
List 25 is my absolute favorite channel!!!
You look pretty decent, Mike...trust me, you ain't that fat!
I'm heavier than I want to be. Gotta get back down to 185. ~Mike

Rogelio Bustos weirdo
Not just arthritis. ANY autoimmune disease because they usually come in groups. As always, good job, Mike.
Thanks for mentioning Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is one of many invisible diseases. While I look like the typical 38 year old suburban working mom, I am losing my 20-year battle with RA. There are a lot of great new medications, which have kept me going, but they stop working after a while. I am on chemotherapy now to keep my overactive immune system at bay; this is the last option for me. There needs to be a lot more awareness and research done on autoimmune diseases. They are surprisingly common, unpredictable, and medical science just doesn't have them figured out. If as much attention was paid to autoimmune diseases as there was cancer, we would see a major reduction in costs from medications, surgical care, and disability.
I feel relevant.
You are...- Juan
list25 ;D
Eating sugar does NOT cause diabetes. While you didn't specifically say sugar directly caused diabetes, you implied it.
You are wrong. Spreading such non-facts is as dangerous, if not more so, than each item on your list.
Check your facts please.
I am so happy for this Lister on so many things on this list that I have depression mainly if people say that it's not true it's all in my head.
Ha! I got that last reference.......
