You consistently turn out interesting stuff. I knew about some of these people, but many were new to me. Your writing is compact and engaging; you get a lot of information in, while remaining charming.
Hey hun! You're the second person I heard say it & I don't wanna hear everyone saying it wrong cuz they heard someone on RUclips say it....... It's Marie, not Mary! I'm sorry!! It's just these kids don't look stuff up!! They just trust what they hear.
I was just going to correct the pronunciation as well. Glad I saw your comment. This is also the second time recently I've heard someone on RUclips say it this way.
The Heath company, later noted for Heathkit electronics, originally sold airplanes. The founder, Edward Bayard Heath, died in 1931 in an accident aboard a Heath Parasol, his popular kit airplane.
We owe so many of those listed so much in regard to our current technologies. Thank you for the reminder that there was often great cost in the development of these.
That one with the flying car, was wild! 😮. I never heard of that one. I saw an Instagram reels of the parachute suit guy. It was an old news reel. Or someone had a camera back then.
Love All your videos, really love the new true crime channel. Just wondering how you get the topics for list 25, do you pick them out of a hat, vote on ideas or what? If you ever run out of ideas then you can have us toss in ideas.
Some of those could be called "People who died ironically" but not by their own invention. Duesenberg? No. William Pitt? Does mangled making a repair count? Webster Wagner? Really? Train accidents were so common. Lots of people died every year.
Parry Thomas' drivetrain on Babs didn't "rip through the car." It had chain final drive, and Parry had a habit of leaning over the side, right in line with the chain as it snapped.
"..... with his invention of the rotating turd " this is legitimately what i heard LMFAO ... sorry Mike lol keep up the good work. Cheers! or L'chaim i should say 😉
If my "inventions" killed me then I possibly could not give my heritages to my "families/employees" because they lack quintessential(s) of what is needed to have it.
I read the title as "25 Inventors That Killed Their Inventions". As in, the inventors were so upset with what they created that they tried to get rid of it.
A fascinating list entertaining and informative. I subscribed to your channel years ago and have enjoyed your lists immensely. I am surprised that you omitted the most glaringly obvious contender for today's subject. Have you ever heard of Nicholas Cugnot? He invented a steam powered tricycle intended for agricultural traction. It was steered by chains. Maximum speed was 4 mph. On a test drive, a steering chain jammed so he decended from the driving position to free the chain without stopping the vehicle first. As he struggled to free the chain, he slipped and was promptly run over by his machine. He died from the experience.
My late partner's mother was one of the nurses in attendance for Slotin in Los Alamos. My partner and I were both born in the same hospital before the construction of the more modern LAMC.
My parents and I were at the airport that Henry Salinski was testing out his flying Pinto when it crashed. I don't remember it as I was 2 years old but my mother says it was terrifying to watch.

Little correction Andrews did not go down with Titanic... At the end with about 5 mins till she sank Andrews and captain Smith were both seen by a few people jumping into the sea. He was not onboard when Titanic went below the surface.
Technically speaking, yes, but "going down with the ship," doesn't always mean staying onboard while it sinks. It also applies to the last to leave (usually the captain).
Like Jerry Seinfeld said, "if you jump out of a plane and your parachute doesn't open, your helmet is now wearing you for protection."
I always loved that comment.😂
Its not the fall you have to worry about! Its the sudden stop at the end that'll get you!
I was never a big fan of Seinfeld. However, that joke is great. Lol
He isn’t wrong! 😂
Silliest shit i ever heard
I love the way you always check pronunciations. Keep up the lists it's good to have you back
You don’t need a working parachute to skydive. You need a working parachute to skydive twice.
Lmao 😂
Much like encountering a bear. People say never run. Its a lie. Run faster than the person you are with
You got my "👍" for keeping a straight face during some of the worst mistakes.
You are a professional!
Working late and this video is keeping me going! Thanks, Mike! I watch every one and love the new channel!
I like to think I am well educated (and pretty good at trivia) but I always learn something new from your lists!
Let me see how much you remember, how many feet did Franz Reichelt fell when his parachute didn't work? 🫡
I love learning something new but definitely hate that so many people had such horrible tragedies.
What about that rich guy that slapped together a submarine to visit Titanic?
All that money means nothing most rich people are stupid and lack common sense all together
😂
You consistently turn out interesting stuff. I knew about some of these people, but many were new to me. Your writing is compact and engaging; you get a lot of information in, while remaining charming.
I always learn things from you. Thank you.
I enjoy learning new things. Thanks.
Love it, as always 👍
Excellent video thanks List 25 and Mike 👍❤️🔥

This is an amazing and horrific list. Thank you and your team for this list also
Just a brilliant video also very impressed with your ability to annunciation of foreign languages.😊
We owe so many of those listed so much in regard to our current technologies. Thank you for the reminder that there was often great cost in the development of these.

The Parachute Suit guy is a prime example of arrogance overriding common sense.
I was thinking "Oceangate" for that very reason
I like to call them idiots 😂
Ive not heard of thomas andrews but i am facinated by the titanic as soon as i heard harland and wolff i knew where that was going
G'day mate, have really enjoyed your content off & on for a few years now, and you're easy on the ears unlike some others, so thanks from Aussie.
Mike thank you for entertaining us all
He didn't USE the dummy, he WAS the dummy.
Nicely done, as always, Mike! Cute shirt, too! 😊
I love that shirt, Mike!
So glad to learn all these things, a pity inventors don't get to keep inventing though
Thx, Mike!
So the fact that IF a bird struck the flying car from behind wasn't troubling enough.
Segway
Oh yeah! He yeeted off of a cliff!😮
Not the inventor; the guy who owned the company.
Love this video. Thank you for the upload
Another awesome list, love the science and history
Love the straightforward delivery
This was your best video Mike.
Everyday I watch your channel and I love it.
Working late and this video is keeping me going! Thanks

Love your channel! ❤
Marie Curie, not Merie.
Her first name is pronounced "mr REE" . Mike usually does better than this.
@kathywiseley4382 you guys need to listen again... he said it correctly with the slight accent
Parry Thomas' drivetrain on Babs didn't "rip through the car." It had chain final drive, and Parry had a habit of leaning over the side, right in line with the chain as it snapped.
Another great video from the King of Facts👑
I have to say that this video just slayed me.
Marie Curie died from aplastic anemia. I believe.
Very informative and entertaining!
Don't remember his name but the person who invented the electric chair was ejecuted in one 😮, the sageway inventor also died in one
Just found your channel pretty awesome stuff so I subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your post

Love your stitch shirt
Turns out the Pinto was full of Gremlins
That was cool. Thanks 😊
I love this show 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Didn’t the inventor of the Segway die riding his invention and fell off a cliff?
Good job...and kudos for not including the now-debunked story about the inventor of the guillotine!
Baby gap wants their shirt back😂
❤ Mike and 25
im working on two patents right now so im watching this ironically
Marie not Mary
Marie did not invent radium She discovered it.
My parents and I were at the airport that Henry Salinski was testing out his flying Pinto when it crashed. I don't remember it as I was 2 years old but my mother says it was terrifying to watch.
Great video, even if it's a bit questionable.
Some people have smarts but no common sense.

Mike, do you shop anywhere but Disney?
Think about how many people had to die for the wingsuit to come to fruition.
500 crew?!? Wow!
My Cheap 500 Horsepower Box-Truck Powered Corvette is SCARY Good!!!
Appropriate shirt for inventions that didn't turn out as planned.
Yep...knew theses👍
13:00 that aint no race car. Thats a ship lol
7:19 They say it was caught on film. I've seen the video but 🤷♂️
hmm that flying car kind of reminds me of the flying car in Harry potter and the chamber of secrets which btw is a ford anglia🙂
Hey Mike🌼🍃Heard of a few of them But Wow🤪😳😵🌈☀️🌴🌺🌊✌️💚😎
Really, how does anyone know if that homemade submarine sank?
It sounds like a clever way to fake his death.
How about Campbell and Bluebird?
For the algorithm! ❤
Many members of the Reynolds family (Reynolds Tobacco) died of tobacco related diseases.
The last, was obviously, from an outside source, and can not be contributed, to his research!
And Segway?
Killroy was here.
Cool!
Interesting
You have the BEST shirt collection.
He wasn't going to use a dummy, he was the dummy..............
Yay algorithm!
If there was ever a more appropriate shirt, I've never seen it. 😮😅😅😅😂😈🖤💖👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
