This may sound silly, but every time I hear this song, it makes me cry. I think of my adopted mother and how good she was to me, during the most difficult times in my life. When my birth family turned their backs, Mrs. Sutton, picked me up when I was DOWN. I will ALWAYS love her.
@@gemini730lory8 im 19 now im very happy that my co workers play songs from the 70s and 80s. Music in general was better then there was a good mix of everything and anything could be no1 plus auto tune wasn’t a thing back then so what you herd on the vinyl was what it sounded like on the stage just so simple and good unlike now days when voices are changed constantly just to sound good and there’s very little talent out there
The Stylistics, Blue Magic, Main Ingredient, Chi-Lites, The Spinners, etc, were ALL killing it in the early to mid-seventies! And their popularity is as high as ever because no one has been able to come close! R & B will never be the same!
I’m a 23 yr old who was raised by a 70 year old gentleman , this is the type of music I grew up on . So much soul , class & heart put into the lyrics . I remember it was 2005 and he still used his 8track player to play B.B. king ... memories
Happy holidays to u and your people, your family members members. Thanks for your amazing love songs, that male me feel excited, happy. Merry Christmas
I grew up listening to rock n roll, Stones, Neil Young, all of them. We would hear this on the radio and shrug. Wow, now I hear The Stylistics and the memories just roll back. I never knew until recently just how much influence these groups actually had on me. Great music is great music is GREAT music. Some of these tunes, even more than my old favorites, can make an old rocker like myself tear up with memories of days gone by. I wish I knew then what I know now - these guys were pure class.
My husband and I have have been dedicating songs to each other on our anniversary. Next anniversary I'm giving him this. It will be our 35th and it says what I feel. Love the 70s.
Whenever I need to feel great, or are a bit down, I turn to The Stylistics. This is my favorite song of theirs. The beautiful music and meaningful words cannot be beat!!! God Bless Them for their magnificent voices and love songs!!!
This song gives me goose bumps 42 years later, I was 15 years old .....when I saw these guys singing this song in 1974 at CNE- Exhibtion Place in Toronto. I remember Russel Thompkins the Lead singer putting the mic down and singing without the mic and we could still hear his angelic voice thru out the stadium. I will go to my grave loving this song and The Stylistics.
A beautiful and tender love song. There are special people in our lives who make us feel like the song says even if we are old. My wife is one of them and marrying her was the best decision I ever took nearly 34 years ago.
Love this song, love you Damian! God Blessed me with you! Best memories of my life! I remember listening to this with you, my first kiss, my first love 1972, The younger generation just does not understand what true romance is!
This was in Japan on TV show. STYLISTICS ONLY 4 NOW. RUSSELL LEAD SINGER... WITH Airion Love, Herb Murrell, and Raymond Johnson in glasses who played guitar since beginning but switched to back up singer/ stepper in 1980 when both James Dunn and James Smith quit. Raymond is still singing with Russell Thompkins Jr and New Stylistics in 2023.
the stylistics are one of best groups of 70s.and there will never be another group like the stylistics. so many good things happen to me when i used to play there songs.stylistics u r the best...............
Like a breeze this Song, if you lived in the 70's...you would hear it wafting from car radios, ice cream shops...stores , and casual restaurants. It is hauntingly beautiful and unadorned , the era was difficult for sure...but unlike today. ...people were communicating on a solely different level.
I love this song! This group came out with some nice jams! I especially love the original footage Now then if I can just get these steps down! Who can say they know these steps?? Cause the guy in the glasses ain’t playing around! Lol
This song makes me think about My Momma and all the things we went through, When I was growing up the good and bad times , But she stayed strong 💪🏾 and still showed us Love ❤my younger brother and Big Sister ❤️💯❗ Momma you the Strongest Woman I know 💪🏾❤💯❗ Love You Momma, I always tried my best to show you that I appreciate you and Love you for everything you done for me in my life ok😢❤!
"Without you, life has no meaning or rhyme, like notes to a song out of time". If you love someone with all your heart & soul, these are some of the greatest words you can say to her/him as you melt into their eyes & become one. I hope & wish everyone gets to experience that incredible feeling of oneness. Your heart will thank you.
I can remember when I first heard this song. I was 10 yrs old and at Adventures Park in College Point Queens NY with my parents. I watched them slow dance to this.😊
There are certain special people in our lives that have the power to do just as this song says. When they are near us we feel Brand new. Nice song and one that brings to me so many pleasant remembrances of last Century and the life I lived then.
Almost 30 years together and you still make me feel brand new. Always making me a better man, thru thick and thin. I love you with all my heart and soul. Ana María Ortiz. This song really describes how I feel about you!!💖🖤💜💛💚💙❤
I miss those days. And the one person who shared songs like these wit me. Her only lil man. Lil Markeee . Thank you Mom love you , miss you. See ya on the other side.😘😎
They did it live,..Wow,..I used to play with the Chi-Lites on the same show with Stylistics, Dramatics, Ray Goodman & Brown, Blue Magic, and the Delfonics !!
Why can't anyone come out with a new movie instead of just remaking, and ruining I might add, and old movie. I think it because artist are so consumed with political correctness and social justice bull-crap that it has diminished creativity by taking off all the sharp edges that make it so great.
mark pulling , why can't they make music like this anymore? Because the world is so damaged and corrupted that most of humanity is only focused on degenerative aspects instead of this music that is food for the soul. That's why. Soon this will all be just history. But not forgotten. ✌🏽
I'll be watching them this coming Dec.28 2024 in Osaka!I'm 57yrs.old now, but I knew them since I was small because of my brothers and sisters 13, 12, 10 yrs older than me.I think I'm gonna cry when I hear them singing live.
The best music in America was in the 70s from all genres, why? Leaving the 60s, leaving Vietnam hello hard times 70s. Pain, love and death make for great music, if you ask me. 🙏🏻
my brother James loved this band as we all did mother, father, 3 boys . met a man the other dayand he told me James turned him on to soul music in the early seventies when he worked in the garagewith him, said he had been thinking of him when he had heard this track on the radio.dont think he knewthat it was the anniversary of his death. Jazz 1955/2010.may god have you in the palm of his hands.
I can remember visiting my grandma in Arizona as a 12-13yrs old and waking up or going to bed with the am radio songs like this, wildfire Michael Martin Murphy the Carpenters etc etc brings back a lot of good memories....
utterly iconic. One of so so so many many greats from various solo singers through to full blown dance groups. Its just from an era that ozzsed so much quality music, you couldnt possibly quantify or capture because there would always be so much that would be overlooked through sheer time constraints or ignorance etc. It was like being constantly bathed in musical heaven
One of the nicest songs I used to hear last Century. This was a great group really and still one of my favorites. Their songs were meaningful and so full of feeling.
god has given many people great tallent, but putting words together such as these at moments in your life when you are with that special someone that actually was that and more when you needed it most only tell me that I"ll never find another like her thanks mary
What a gift to the world to see this classic and nostalgic song. You kind of kept hoping for their next new song to come out on the radio as you were driving in your car back then...when us older guys were young.Man sad that time flys but life allows us so much if we take it.God bless to all those who are running out of time in life and gather your families and love them up.Tell them these old storys of us in our younger days.
Viviendo en Japón Me quede enamorada de su música y desde entonces sigue siendo mi grupo americano preferido Después que en los año 80s estuve en su concierto en Japón sigo recordando bellos momentos... thanks..
I have just watched this video, right after listening several times to Mick Hucknall's rendition, and while I totally love The Stylistics' original (it is a fabulous song), I now am even more impressed with Mick's vocal range. He sang all the parts, the tenor and countertenor ones absolulely flawlessly and with an amazing strength and emotion. Way to go, Mick
I Love every thing musically about this group. This is a very sensual soothing love song that says basically every time that were together, God bless you, You make me feel brand new in love and life, physically, spiritually. emotionally, and sexually.
It's a shame today's music doesn't even come close to this. Real music. Real feelings. Real life. Nothing about money or materials
This may sound silly, but every time I hear this song, it makes me cry. I think of my adopted mother and how good she was to me, during the most difficult times in my life. When my birth family turned their backs, Mrs. Sutton, picked me up when I was DOWN. I will ALWAYS love her.
Parabéns para sua mãe e rápido VCI também
I love this song. It reminds me of my first time falling in love. I will never forget you Amanda
It's not silly, it's human. I'm glad someone found you and took care of you - what a gift !

The song, you make me feel brand new is still tops to me. Today, I'm still feeling brand new, so thank you guys.
Possibly the most beautiful Motown song ever. Impeccable vocals too.
This is NOT Motown!! This is the best, arguably, from Philadelphia!!
No need to shout, my mistake I admit. I'm more into things classical. It is a great song / performance anyway. I love it. Happy New Year to you.
Chills down my spine, just like when my mom used to listen to this record back to when I was a kid

Feels so sweet listening to this, along with some Mtume, Eugene Wilde and a bit of The Chi-Lites :)
Few artists have ever touched your soul the way the Stylistics have. They should be very proud of what they accomplished with their music.....
Bring back so many memories ! Epic
