There is one indisputable fact and that is John Carter was truly loved by both Johnny and June and they openly showed him their love and it was there for all to see. In this video their love for him shines through - it is beaming out of them and shows in every smile, action and gesture in addition to the tender, loving song they are singing. Regardless of later ups and downs that came in their lives, this love John Carter was given/shown is so beautiful and precious and appears to have been reciprocated by him back to both his parents, which is also wonderful to see. Not that my opinion matters in the least (because it really does not), but I think Johnny and June would be very proud of the man John Carter is today and the way he is dealing with the legacy they left him to manage.
Makes me feel so sorry for his girls. They had to watch him adore his child with June while they never got to see their father.
@@noraplowshay8784 based on everything all four of his daughters have said and written over the years, especially Rosanne and Cindy, starting from 1967 when he bought his Hendersonville home, all four daughters spent their summer vacations with Johnny (and some Christmas’s as well) and they said he was very attentive and they had a wonderful time with him, and throughout his 35-year marriage with June, Johnny Cash rebuilt his relationship with his daughters and worked diligently to make up for his past absences. All his daughters have said he was a loving, humble, fun, big-hearted father (despite his struggles with addiction, darkness and pain) who they loved very much and that he went out of his way to show them (and tell them) he loved them as much as he loved his son John Carter. In the best of families there are sibling rivalries, especially when the youngest child is the only son of a family of many daughters - from everything that has been said by his daughters, any issues (and I am sure there were several since this was a blended family) were worked out (as they are in most families) and Johnny’s daughters and his son have a good relationship (Cindy herself stated this during a public presentation a few years ago). Rosanne wrote and delivered a beautiful speech about June at June’s funeral. There are no perfect families - Johnny loved all of his daughters and his son and they knew it and loved him back- in the end that is what really matters.

Je me souviens de cet extrait télévisé d'il y a à peu près quarante ans. Ca me fait tout drôle de le revoir après tant d'années !!. Johnny Cash avait déjà trois filles de son premier mariage et June Carter avait elle-même deux filles de son précédent mariage. Quand ils se sont rencontrés, se sont aimés sincèrement et se sont mariés, June Carter était déjà à la limite de l'âge pour concevoir un nouvel enfant. Mais Johnny Cash tenait à avoir un garçon : "I want have a son, I want to be reborn". Et Johnny Carter Cash est né. Cependant l'histoire du fils tant désiré n'aura pas suivi l'idéal du père ... Ainsi va la vie.

That's what love looks like. She loved him he loved her and their son was conceived in so much love. I think that a man that loves his wife like God said a man should love his wife like Christ loved the church and gave himself for it. Is the most beautiful man that could be. I believe will he was suffering during all his withdrawals he was seeing June at the end of the rainbow. There's no doubt in my mind that's what he had to do to get her and that's what he did. June bug. The True Light. My parents never loved each other they always fought not one day did they ever have peace. I never knew what love was but I sure do now. Sometimes when I'm sad because I wished my family would have loved me but they couldn't see me through all the fighting and that's okay I love them anyway and I thank God everyday for the parents he chose for me. When I get real sad I always Google any advice that Johnny Cash gave and I would take it for myself as if he were my own father. I bet you the sun is very happy coming from all the love. Love is probably coming out of his pores. It is a son. Just like The Shining Sun. I thank God that all things work together for good to those who love Christ and are called according to his purpose. The footprints that they left behind people will find in future Generations that they were faithful. Many people take love for granted. I looked at so many pictures and tears rolling down my face hot and heavy. Tears for joy and being able to see what love is. This is the greatest gift I have ever received. If I Die Tomorrow my life feels complete. They don't have to be my parents. Somehow I feel like they belong to me. I have a lot of loving me and my mother always put it down saying I'm too sensitive. I have feelings and I appreciate even the littlest Speck of affection from my mother or my father when I was little. I don't believe my eyes are seeing their eyes look upon their son with so much love it's beaming on him. Beautiful baby. I know they prayed for him and I know that loved other children the same. There was no favourites. The wage John loved June and always wanted her by his side any always glowed when she was around is such a joy to see. I believe anyone who watches their love is a different person when the video is finished. June Carter Cash was the best drug Johnny Cash ever had. It didn't cost him his life but it gave him his life. a drug that never ended a drug that was free from heaven. And she read the gospel. God's pill. Isn't that the truth. I just spent a couple hours watching many of his videos. This is a lost love. I'm going to celebrate February 22nd because I know they did. and I'm so glad that they left their legacy to continue on into the future Generations until the coming of Christ. @Michele Elzubeir this video has nothing to do with Vivian - it shows Johnny and June’s parental joy, love, and pride on the birth of their son John Carter which they shared with the world. Johnny Cash and Vivian Liberto were not the first (nor the last couple) with kids to divorce after many years and go on to marry other people and make new lives - it happens in the USA and across the world to millions of people all the time. People are human and make mistakes - sometimes they fall in love when they are very young and marry without knowing each other very well (like Johnny and Vivian did); then life progresses and things (good and bad) happen; they grow apart due to a variety of reasons; one or both realize they no longer have the same feelings, goals, hopes, and aspirations; and one or both of them meet and fall in love with other people with whom they fit better - the end result is divorce - that’s what happened to Johnny Cash when he got into his music and became a a traveling musician and star entertainer, and his drug addiction made everything even worse and more difficult. In addition, Vivian’s strict Catholic beliefs against divorce made her stay in the marriage way longer than she should have. Vivian remarried (to Dick Distin) before Johnny and June married and she was married at the time that John Carter was born (which occurred over 2 years after the divorce became final). I understand that Vivian stated that she actually never stopped loving Johnny, even after they divorced. While I feel sad for Vivian (l do believe she was a good person), she short-changed both herself and her new husband because she did not/could not let go of Johnny emotionally - no one forced Vivian to remarry quickly, she willingly remarried and had a comfortable, affluent lifestyle with her new husband that was largely financed by Johnny Cash via the divorce settlement. As Rosanne Cash, Johnny & Vivian’s daughter has stated openly, Johnny and June were soulmates and she saw the “rightness” of their marriage despite the pain her mother Vivian felt. This video shows the immense joy, happiness and love Johnny and June had for their new baby son John Carter - it should not be turned into something ugly or negative because of perceived issues Vivian may not have been dealing with well. A baby’s birth should be a joyous time and it is obvious from this video that John Carter brought much joy and happiness to Johnny and June and he was greatly loved by them both.

What is the reason for your trying to malign his reputation with lies? Thankfully, despite all the confusion and problems he caused them early on as a result of his addiction problems, his four daughters have all been very vocal about the fact that he loved them very much and they loved him very much. Over many years before their marriage became really bad there were many voluntary photographs taken of Johnny, Vivian and his daughters when they lived in California that were featured in all the large magazines and newspapers across the USA. In addition, friends such as Johnny Western have stated that Johnny and Vivian’s California home was where many barbecue and poolside gatherings occurred. Johnny’s trips home to California became much less as his drug addiction increased in the mid 1960s. After the divorce, obviously any future pictures or appearances Johnny had were with June, not Vivian, since June was now his wife. Johnny’s daughters were not hidden away after the divorce either - Vivian filed for divorce in summer 1966 and Johnny moved from California to Nashville. He reconnected with his daughters beginning in summer 1967 (when he bought his home in Hendersonville) and they spent 1967 summer and every subsequent summer as kids with him, as well as some Christmases (they lived full time with Vivian in California until they graduated high school). If you read or listen to the many interviews given by his daughters (there are a lot with Rosanne, some with Cindy and a few with Kathy and Tara) you will find out that they openly and clearly stated that during their stays with Johnny he took them everywhere - to multiple movies in a day, skating, taught them to water ski, to Catholic Church every Sunday, etc. In their early teenage years in the 1970s his daughters repeatedly appeared on several of his TV shows/Christmas Specials, and they sometimes were brought on stage by him at his concerts, singing backup or singing with him - they were never hidden away by Johnny Cash!! It is true you did not publicly hear or see anything about Vivian after Johnny married June - I do not know in what marriage ex-wives play major roles in their ex-husband’s life! In addition, Vivian has stated that she disliked the media attention Johnny’s stardom brought and she did not tell people (not even many of her later friends) that she had been married to Johnny Cash. So who is to blame for Vivian not being known in connection to him in later years? Probably it is a result of a combination of a lack of media interest in her after the divorce and her not wanting or liking the publicity so she avoided it.
