Roma fan here. I'm really sorry he didn't do well at Roma. Despite results you won't find a Roma fan who won't say he's got potential to be one of the best. For lots of reasons it didn't work out. Spurs not going for him is a really bad call, he would have done well. I hope wherever he goes he'll have success
If this video is anything to go by, he seems to leave few stones unturned and is tactically savvy. It takes a lot to impress Guardiola and he did that. With support from Spurs' fans and management he might just put a whole lot of pressure on the elite Premier League clubs. Another Poch in the making? Maybe, maybe even more. Best wishes to this likeable young coach. A potentially refreshing change from the negativity and sulking mood which pervaded the club since Poch left.

Very much enjoyed this. The chemistry between the coaches is really tight and the video analyst working at hyper speed relaying passages to be cut by the editors was fascinating. Fonseca as a coach seems to be a good fit for Spurs. And after the crap football we’ve seen for three years now (genuinely can’t remember us playing well for 90 minutes since beating Chelsea in November 2018), it reassured me greatly to hear how much he values playing with the ball, taking the initiative and creating chances.
