Well done! I have a good friend in the U.P. who has flipped cars for years, and he finds a solid market for lower budget vehicles. He buys easy mechanical fixes, works it for two weeks and resells. If a person has the tools and ability self employment might just be an option. Regardless if vintage, winter beater, or ford escort rebuild I would definitely watch some flip it videos. You have the skills, Chad!
I like both channels bro. Don't ever stop. I wanna see you take that Lexus out for a test drive in some pretty gnarly stuff with the new lift kit though.
Nice, I have mines on 35x 12.5 on 18x 9 wheels so I had to go little higher still cutting needed and still have my factory running board on,but it works.
Easier way to get that top ball joint out is loosen the nut 3/4 way off and give that flat spot on the spindle a good hit. The weight of all your front end will pull it down.
Very impressive young ma! Job well done!! Hope this works out for you!! Take care, be safe and God bless! (By the way, about time for Taleah to be driving the big rig with you...maybe??)
@@G.A.N.G101 that you did. A bigger lift would have been better. Hahaha. There damn expensive tho. Need to lift my plow truck. It'll have to wait . Or I'll have to fab one up. Have a great weekend.
@@G.A.N.G101 I'm in the desert of Dubai... The type of wheeling I do, full compression, vehicle with lots of momentum and turning would rub an over the place, probably decorate the desert with bits of Toyota all over. Even 33's require a bmc more often than not, with uca's and at least 0 offset wheels. In fact 2 weeks ago I saw a gx roll down a huge dune as he, well, OK it had nothing to do with his toe size, haha.
@G.A.N.G101 what size Allen wrench are you using to removed that fastener on the level sensor? I went through the whole set and couldn’t find one that fit.
You are missing the rear coil spring isolator on the top of the rear spring. That insulator locates the spring and has a bump stop built in. May want to put those in to avoid the rear tires from digging in to the wheel well on up-travel.
The lift has been installed for two years now and I’ve been on some crazy off road adventures and it’s never had an issue. The fronts still rub a bit when full steer in a bump
Looking to do this same kit on my 06 GX470. With the lift and the replacement upper control arms did you have to re-align the truck? If so how far off was the alignment after your install?
Firm. We are a family of six and haul stuff in and out of the woods quite a bit. And to be honest I thought the firm would be to stiff and rough but it seems a bit soft and rides nice. I’m guessing that soft may be too soft.
@@G.A.N.G101how does it ride with the heavy springs? I’m trying to decide whether to go with ome or Dobinsons on an 05 4runner I’ll be hauling around a bike carrier with a 300lb bike on. Been leaning toward Dobinsons just because you can get variable springs so seems like it might ride a bit better when unloaded.
Yes I took this video down after two days on the other channel because it confused people as we already moved at that point. So I re edited the video to better fit this channel
Nice! But mind blowing how you can install all that expensive gear and not clean up the area around it from dust, dirt, and rust while you have it pulled apart! 🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂
You my friend are so right! Even if I did everything how you would have you would’ve definitely picked something else just to satisfy your needs.. fyi at this time I lived out in the middle of nowhere and just need to get this done as I needed to get home to my family as this was after work and getting late. I had one goal and that was to get the lift installed and done and get back on the road. There are so many things I “should’ve” done, but guess what? I got it done how I did and I’m still driving er every day! The dirt and rust didn’t hurt a damn thing! Oh and thanks for watching man! Have a great New Year!
@@G.A.N.G101 Nope. Just basic cleaning and rust proofing as you go. Sorry you were too busy making a video to do things long term and correct. GXs are known to have rust issues. Just stumbled on this channel cause the algorithm has noticed my GX 470 searches. Immediately subscribed because that intro was perfect.

Thank you Kirk! Man we have buried that Lexus before moving out of the woods! It was left buried out there for the last half of the winter! 😂
Nice Shop ya get to work in. Big Red is a beast and those cabin videos are epic.
Thank you! Yes the shop is nice to have to use
That’s a BIG improvement for the Lexus! Looking forward to a test drive once Old Man winter shows up 💪

Yeah we’ve been thinking of a hood for car for her.
255/80-17 would fit way better and far less cutting and be better in snow.
I bet you don't miss your old driveway now
😂 Most definitely NOT!!
285/75/17 34" may have been a wiser choice. Good job anyways😉
That looks much better.
It definitely gave it a much more manly look!

No rubbing on full compression? Hard to believe with my experience with he Prado 150 platform
It does run just a little when in big bouncy rutts

Where did you get your kit and what size lift is it
Rocky Road Outfitters and a 2.5” inch

Which OME springs did you get?
I got the heavy duty springs
Did you go with stock or medium springs ?
Heavy duty. We have a family of six and at that time hauled in lots of supplies everyday to our home.
