I know this is four years late, but I’m now 49 and thanks to your video, I finally know how to use these darn things! 😂😩. I grew up in the outdoors, and my father was an outdoor writer even, but I always got these things wrong or just drove a stake down through one of the holes in the plastic tab! So much for thinking I was an “outdoorsman!” Thank you my friend, and God bless! Justin from Pennsylvania, USA (and an Eastern Oregonian during my HS years, so I’ve been in some amazing nature! Just never knew how to use a pre-made guy line! Never too old to learn! 😂👍🏻)

For low & highwall nylon tents that have these tensioners, in buffetting winds they still slide down the guy. You stop that by pushing a safety pin through the guy rope behind the tensioner.
