Man I love the new quiz-types questions at the end of the video, they really test your memory, the videos/notes and illustrations are super great as well, thanks Ninja Nerds
Glad you like them!
Please keep adding more quiz questions they really help solidify the lecture also thank you @@NinjaNerdOfficial
The thing that I absolutely love most about your phenomenal teaching is THE REPITITION, it does incomparable WONDERS for students MEMORY and so many teachers just pass through a term once and stroll on,, making it easy to forget
I don’t know how you do it but you make complex processes so much easier to understand! Definitely saving this for my watch list! 🙏🏽💜
Thank you is never enough for your efforts dr ninja nerd. May Allah bless u and all your beloved ones u are making our life easier thanks a lot
Bless with the greatest blessing Aameen
I was actually terrorised in med school when my teacher taught us this..couldn’t understand a bit and when asked about 1st pass metabolism in my test it moved me to tears to write what I had in my mind..
Thank you so much for this..🙏
these classes are GOLD! your teaching makes us excited about learning, thank you!
Mr professor taught this today and had me completely lost and I didn't think I would ever understand this. But the way you break it down makes sooooooooo much sense so thank you.
Hello! This class helped me a lot, I'm Brazilian and I was having a lot of difficulty understanding this subject, but with your incredible didactics it's impossible not to learn. Thank you very much!
Am addicted to Ninja
Should pay my tuition fee here
I have my pharm midterm exam in four hours and was confused on the topic. My notes and lecture slides didn’t help. Your video really helped break it down and make me understand the topic more. Will start watching your vids from now on!
Never have I ever listened to pharmacology lecture for 40 minutes straight until now😂. Hats off man ❤
These videos have opened my eyes! FINALLY someone explaining it without confusing the masses 😂
Omg THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I am studying to be a therapist & am struggling with my psychopharmacology class. You have helped me understand way way better than the book could. Thank you so much for breaking this down so it’s understandable to people who have 0 foundational knowledge like me!
I have struggled for so long to understand this phase 1 and 2 reaction. This video made it so easy. Thanks alot!
clear and informative that's what a med student needs
endless thanks for the ninja nerd staff we do appreciate your hard work ❣❣❣❣
Allways a fan of these pharmacology videos! Such great content. I'd love to see one on pharmacogenetics and some in depth content on polymorphism of drug metabolizing enzymes.
You made such a complicated topic into simpler job that I never forget the concepts which you taught . I admire your efforts and thank you so much 👍
I like the fact that you try to make everything simple and make everyone follow up
Thanks once again, you make learning so exciting and this isn't even necessary for my studies, just out of curiosity I wanted to know about this. I also love the Q&A at the end. ✌🏽🇹🇹
Thank You ❤
grateful you are single-handedly teaching me my first few weeks of PA school :')
Zachary your amazing I have turned my uni colleagues onto your channel and they are all so grateful , I have even been given all clear to use your website in my references xx ❤
This dude right here is the GOAT!
This makes sense as to why I have so many side effects with medications. Must be a very slow metabolizer. Had horrible side effects on 3 different DOACs. Hematologist had no idea why.
I think that the codiene become toxic when you metabolize it more, because codien metabolite is morphine, 11:50
Super great videos. I understand every bit of your lesson. Thanks are not enough for your efforts. Superhero, an ideal teacher.
You are really the best teacher I never had! Please keep up the good work
By far, you are my best prof. in med school!
thanks to you and the team that is supporting you
I’m Acing CRNA school thanks to you!!! Thank youuuuuuuu.
Thank you so much 💓 💗
I have an exam in pharma next week ..... i can't answer the cases questions but you help me...... thank you again ❤
Great explanation 👌
Ninja nerd you don't know how popular you are among Nigerian university students...bless you brother
Add more questions going forward that was super helpful for a check of understanding. Keep up the great work. 😊
Hats off man.
You're the best
Sir you are my favorite teacher for rest of my life thanks a lot 🙏
Please make more pharm videos! These are amazing, thank you so much!
Thanks very much u make concepts easier
Thankyou so much Ninja Nerd! Your are doing great work. I will repay you one day
the explanation is on point, as always
The fact that these got uploaded just in time for my pharm course is excellent. Im not religious, but I know Jesus loves you. I met him shortly after watching this.
Wtf 😒😅
Just though of commenting on the wonderful videos i have watched recently. Thank you so much for making my Pharmacology journey going smooth❤❤
Oh! how much I love this man and his expressions🤌🏻😉
Hi, Omeprazole is an inducer not an inhibitor, thanks for the amazing class ❤️
@ninjanerd First off I wanted to say that I love your videos. They've been keeping me afloat through med school.
I usually don't comment at all but at 11:50 in the video you talk about codeine in slow metabolizers and in those cases I think it would actually be more beneficial for the children with low metabolism because codeine is a prodrug with the active metabolite causing respiratory depression. So it would actually be ultrametabolizers who are at risk for respiratory depression since they're turnover rate into the active metabolite is increased.
eternal gratefulness
I have a question regarding 18:48 - when turning a pro-drug into an active drug the effect is vice-versa. So an inhibitor such as Omeprazole would become an inducer, no? But then at 24:24 in case of a pro-drug activating we still have Omeprazole being an inhibitor.
Not getting my hopes up that someone will see this comment and help out :)
Very nice! Clearing concepts
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Grateful that I found them right before exam!!
Drug distribution isn't in the playlist of pharmacology!
Best explanations!! You simplify all topics❤
Very well explained. Thanks
Good explanation 👍
Just to notice, for CYP 450 inducers you mentioned the exls of CYP inhibitors and for cyp450 inhibitors the exls of CYP inducers are mentioned in haste. It is overlooked!
Hi Bro, I am very thankful for your superunderstandable explanations and I may seem abrupt, but can you make a video about all fossa( infratemporal, temporal, pterygopalatine and so on). Please!
Thank you doctor
I have no word to cheer up this angle😇😇😇😇😇
Amazing!!
apparently some people think doctors shouldn't google stuff.
i'm so glad my doctor does haha. ain't no human remembering every drug interaction. great bg asmr for drawing once again b.t.w. mr ninjaman.
Thank you very much
This very helpful and unforgettable 😊
Dr zach, what's your specialty? Cause you make videos about everything medical and it's mind blowing!
If I’m an ultra rapid metabolizer of enzymes for meds like Zoloft, I need higher doses for it to stay in my system and therefore higher side effects. How does one normalize or slow down metabolism so that I can get its therapeutic benefits? Thx!
I appreciate you so much doctor 👍
Love love loved it! Much appreciated🎉
Great explanation 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
I followed you since 3y from iraq , keep going i respect you so much
May Allah heal the Iraqis whom suffered of cruel bush

I love your science prof. Zach ❤❤
thank you infinitely
Thank you for great explanation and visually appealing board content! In phase II biotransformation, there are additional two substrate which are Glycine and Ribonucleoside/nucleotide synthesis. Can someone clarify this? 😕. Thank you
Thank you so so so so much sir 🌷
😭😭😭😭😭😭 I can’t thank you enough sir..
Thnk u 🙌🙌🙌🙌 u're the best ever
isn't codeine a prodrug for morphine? isn't it the opposite racionale? Thanks!
Do one on umbilical hernias or all the different type of hernias that can happen in the abdominal region. 👍
Amazing video ❤ i have a question please : in case of activation of drug, it passes through the two phases too or it doesn't?
I doff my cap Prof!!!
These videos are awesome, and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into them.. I'm just confused about one thing, though.. you say that Amination isn't part of phase 2 conjugation reactions .. but in the curriculum I'm studying, it says it is and some Google articles also state so .. would u be kind to explain
Thanks alot Sir with your interesting concept,bt Sir don't know if you can also give concept on how to get a loading dose and maintenance dose, thanks Sir
May Allah bless you and the entire team with immense success
This is so interesting.
Thank you so much
Thank you
you are simple awesome!!
Amazing lacture!!
Make lacture on pharmacodynamics plzzz
U R amazing ❤
Thanks a lot sir
Fantastic videos! I can't find PK-Distribution :( Thanks a lot
Superbb sir always awesome
So great 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Nee nalla irupa ya manusha ❤ love from Tamil Nadu India ❤❤
fantastic
Hey Ninja Nerd, BIg respect for you guys. I have been following you since last few months, and trust me no one has ever made me that focused to learn something as you did. i Dont know if you have time to respond on my confusion but still dropping one question here, So, as you said about codeine, with Poor metabolizer it increases toxicity in blood because it doesn't metabolize. but Codeine is prodrug of morphine so according to that with poor metabolisation it will not change into active drug and will not show the efficacy or therapeutic effect right? it means there are no chances of toxicity. please kindly reply and resolve this confusion. once again thank you so much for all the videos. it really helps. it does.
Thanks.
Thanks
Thank you ninja nerd
Hi,
Why would a methyl group make a drug more polar? Or does it just make the drug less reactive?
U r amazing sir
how are we supposed to know when something is a prodrug or not?
What i was wondering is why don't medications come as their metabolites (removing the work load and sometimes toxic effects from the liver and other organs)
also decreasing the time it takes to work as it not longer has to be metabolized.
EG, instead of Morphine coming as Morphine sulphate pentahydrate in a capsule or such.
Why not put Morphine 3 & 4 in the capsule instead (2 of the primary metabolites morphine converts into for it to work AFAIK)
Is it purely a half life or even shelf life thing or simply not possible to create without them being created in a living organism?
Thanks alot Professor Zac Murphy😊
