    An important concept about VoD to note is the definition of VoD: The APPARENT volume of distribution is the theoretical volume of fluid into which the total drug administered would have to be diluted to produce the concentration in plasma. It is not the actual volume that the drug is distributed within the body because that would limit the volume to apprx 42L in the average human. This is why we get numbers in the thousands.
    (Edit to include ex.): If you needed a drug to be at 100mg/L in the blood and you know the VoD of the drug is 200L you would have to give 100mg/L x 200L = 20,000mg or 20g of that drug to achieve the desired concentration in the plasma Assuming no first pass metabolism).

    If anyone sees this this I need a doubt answered albumin is a charged molecule so that also says that the drug bound to albumin is also polar so how does the albumin act as a reservoirs if the drug is ionicly bound to it?
