She was a major stage star in the 1920s, that the Warner Brothers paid dearly for, for their talking/singing/dancing pictures campaign at the time... Curiously, her run did not last. This recording is from one of the accompanying Victor records (that was made as a follow-up to her appearance in ""Show of Shows" (1929))... Her starring pic, "Paris" (a part-talkie) is a lost film, but you can catch her turn in "Show of Shows" on RUclips... I think she was worthy of the attention, actually...!
