Nitro Rad: Searches "fox toilet hand n64"
Google: We gotta draw the line somewhere
He was obviously looking for the 2nd issue of TOILET DUCK by Plug Puller Comix.
it would have been something lewd anyways. google was trying to save him.
"fox toilet hand n64" Sounds a lot like you're searching for Majora's Mask.
Good news is that if anyone else is looking for it, NitroRad's video shows up in the results.
Oh please, what autosuggest gives me on Google is often way weirder than this.
I vaguely recall being able to destroy the speakers playing music in each level. If you broke all of the speakers in the level, the music would just completely stop.
Yes, this was a thing you can actually do in the game
Yup! That happens! Nice catch!
Kumatrine That is absolutely incredible and I love it. Like, wow, that is honestly the coolest thing I’ve ever heard of happening in a game. I’ve got some minor experience in Game Development, and I’m planning on making a new game someday, and when I do I’m totally including that stupid Easter Egg.
@@justanotheryoutubechannel The audio guy, did not like that ^_^
I remember this it was awkwardly quiet 😆
"Objective Complete! You killed the fox family!"
I didn't know Spec Ops: The Line came out on N64.
Electric Barrier It has a surprisingly good frame Rate
The White Foxforus scene made me super emotional
The US Marine Corps condemns the killing of Fox families. But what do you care? It’s just a game.
Space Ops: The Silicon Line
A few bits:
Brit here. Frank Bloke isn't a reference to anything I know of, the entire joke seemed to be "this is obviously a man".
Flupping honk... bit of a stretch but in the Brit comics of the 90s, "honk" was associated with bad smells.
You've probably noticed but if you destroy every speaker in a level, the BGM turns off and won't come back. Dan demands you do this in a desert level.
The GBC port was surprisingly good. The jump from 3d to 2d was okay and I think it deemphasised the combat a bit.
And finally, the PS1 port. Good luck finishing it. If you thought the input lag was bad in the Europe biome, try the vine swinging (which is where I gave up before I came close to vomiting). Also, it's WAY more buggy. I went from 150+ cores to less than NEGATIVE 100 after finishing a level.
I'm late but I assume Frank is used to make a reference to the phrase 'to be frank' as in truthfully i.e. truthfully bloke -> really a man
I was already afraid the game had a bunch of insulting shit in it because of the "silicon valley" in the name and I guess I wasn't wrong.

Man, do I wish that Rockstar would try to take another crack at making this a series. They're SWIMMING in money, but also swimming in a looming artistic quagmire and probable crash.
"But muh GTA"
I'm not sure I agree.
I haven't kept up with RDR2 but I have heard good things about it, and while I actually have more problems with GTA V than most (not a "GTA IV was better" kind of person, but I actually have other serious design complaints) it was a pretty good game overall, not just generally but also from an artistic perspective, Rockstar are pretty good storytellers and their satire is also solid.
With that said, I despise their games' Online additions far more than most as well, they're shameless grindfests that are constantly getting worse with monetisation with practically every single update they get and one of the most extreme examples of microtransactions compromising gameplay enjoyment I've ever seen, to the extent that many F2P and mobile titles would look at GTA Online with disgust.
However, I don't think that's necessarily indicative of an artistic quagmire or a probable crash (in fact, if 2K didn't have an investor's board to worry about they could easily pull a Valve and just survive off GTA Online's revenue for the next decade), both of those claims are pretty extaggerated.
@@darthvaderreviews6926 My guess on artistic quagmire and probable crash is less in line with Jim Sterling's problems with Microtransactions and more with Chris Franklin's problems with Grand Theft Auto/Rockstar in general. Just watch the Errant Signals on GTA IV, GTA V and Max Payne 3 and you'll see where I'm guessing the cause of Rockstar's crash will be.
@LAW Third one sold a million copies in just over a year while being an indie game with barely any marketing. Third one was funded by a kickstarter because enough people wanted a new 3d platformer that isn't Mario so much that they were willing to gamble on it.
@LAW thats what they want you to think, so that they can continue to sell you shooters with a 60 bucks dlc and "live services"
"Imagine being a kid unaware theres a better version out there"
That was me, i played it all the way through. Apparently i never really noticed
Never in my whole-ass life did I think that any relevant RUclipsr would review this game, yet here we are...Thanks Nitro Rad!
hold up, i vaguely recall that doggo it-
ITS EVO, OH MY GOD ITS MY CHILDHOOD, literally my first purchase in an actual store with actual pennys, the clerk hated me.
how much did the game cost?
@@Eminster 7.99 escudos, way back before the euro was introduced.
HighSocks Oh god, I did that once. I brought a ridiculous amount of pennies to a shop and brought something for like 20 quid.
Since you mentioned it, I looked up this game in some leaked Nintendo spreadsheets that detailed revisions, and the game *did* actually have one (and it is floating around on the internet as Rev 1). All the spreadsheet says is that it fixed the expansion pack bug, but I guess there's the possibility that it could have fixed the trophy bug too.
The revision fixed the Expansion Pak issue, but not the trophy. Though there appears to be a way to bypass both issues by using the N64 Gameshark with the game, it's still unfortunate that these game-breaking bugs were never caught in the first place, as it's one of my favorite games for the console.
That explains why I never experienced that expansion pack glitch @@vysethegallant638
Huh, that’s interesting. I went back to this video after buying a cheap copy and I was about to comment about how my PAL copy doesn’t seem to have the expansion pack problem. I put it into my N64 then suddenly remembered *oh crap, I forgot I don’t have a jumper pak*, but then it worked just fine.
I guess I got lucky and got a rev 1 cart! (Or maybe the PAL version just fixes it or the PAL version was based on revision one)
I’ll check out the trophy glitch when I get that far.
i think i have a revision, my copy doesn’t have freezing issues even with the expansion pak. im happy too because i didnt know these older games had different versions. mine is a usa copy though and it has a stamped number on the back sticker 09A
Probably one of the most creative n64 platformers out there 😁👌
Nathaniel Foga probably one of the most creative games in general tbh
Actually kind of reminds me super Mario odyssey with how you can control different animals by putting the chip inside instead of using cappy - wonder if this is what Nintendo got the original idea from 😏😉🤔
Yeeeees!
Spacestation Silicon Valley was one of my favorite N64 games growing up.
Also, not sure either version had any quality control, aside from the rampant bugs you can literally break out of some of the levels using abilities in unintended ways.
Actually there’s a patch that corrects the Expansion Pak bug, and the bug that prevents 100% completion.
This game is extremely underrated, isn't it?
Good thing we have lovely Nitro Rad to review it.
Words out if it is as underrated as Cubivore which is equally wacky.

But is it composed of nitrogen atoms?
Dummy thicc claire 😛😛😛😛
Shard The Fox I mean his name is literally Nitro Rad lol. And to be fair, no one really uses “rad” anymore in the states. That was something that was really big in the 90s. Which is why he uses it in his name (since the channel is nostalgia based, primarily with the 90s/early 00s). I live in California, which is home of the “surfer dude” talk, valley girls etc. And literally no one says Rad anymore.
Sonic202 The 90’s cartoon style kinda fits him IMO
Badum tss
I bet it didn't sell well because the name sounds like an early 90s cd-rom/cdi edutainment game.
It reminds me more to a mid 90s CGI book
I think it was actually because of the brand's history of making non GTA games, what I mean it was because of the scepticism from the players
Man that ship crashed so hard it crashed the game.
The new Rayman inspired profile picture is so cuuuteeeee!
Oh btw, I get really happy everytime you upload a new video :)

Why has no one put on Wiki the infamous glitch with the expansion pak that NO OTHER N64 game suffers?
I'm sure it's something that some other games suffer, it's probably just that any other games that suffer it are equally as obscure. And as to why it's not on a wiki, probably because this game is obscure.
Its weird, I played the heck out of SSSV on my expansion pack'd N64, and I never experienced that problem once.
Apparently the issue has something to do with the game not knowing how to manage its memory on the Expansion Pak. Certain lines of code would fail to update, resulting in the game locking up. As far as I've seen, this is the only game that has this issue, and every copy of SSSV I've owned has it. Oh, and third party Expansion Paks don't work either. Only the original Jumper Pak.
Edit: SSSV did get a revised v1.1, which fixed the Expansion Pak issue. Guess that means you lucked out, Tommy!
@@vysethegallant638 and yet they still missed the gd faucet...
@@EmeraldApe Guess they were more focused on fixing the bug that crashed the game over the one that prevented 100% game completion... Apparently there is still a way to obtain the trophy, but it requires the use of the N64 Gameshark to modify the collectible's hit box. Haven't tried it myself, but I can see if it actually works and update with what I find.
Body harvest is amazing. It plays like a demake of GTA3 with a Sci-Fi paint job.
I think I still have body harvest kicking around somewhere it was quite unique and I remember being crazy excited when I first beat it. Then just using cheat code to jump around to levels like 1960's usa or the a weird zombie apocalypse in Switzerland I think just remember mowing down zombies with a wheat thresher.
when you click the wikipedia link for Runecraft on the game's article it just takes you to the page for runic magic
Do I know you? From that vid namely, Perfect for the Switch?
Govt. Knives watch his other videos
You compare it to DK64, but it honestly reminds me more of the capture mechanic in Mario Odyssey
What games do you think inspired such?
DK64 had you fully playing as the selected character until you decide to switch, while Odyssey had you temporarily controlling enemies for certain scenarios.
I'm reminded more of "Ace of Seafood" in how you need to beat other Fish to get them as characters.
Sean T in oddessy you can control enemies for any amount of time you desire
@@salimparks4506 Sean is more referring to how DK64 gives you 5 characters to play as throughout the entirety of the game with the only limitation being you can't switch unless your using the barrel. Same in regards to Megaman ZX Advent.
Mario differs in that they are puzzle pieces for specific parts on certain worlds, not fully utilized characters that can be used in every level and the hub.
Really impressed that such a cool game concept didn't sell too well. It totally sounds like something that would be a hit back in the day but for some reason wasn't... Damn.
10:19 Is that Kao the Kangaroo I see there?
20:36 that's frickin Kao alright!
Later on, an Ape Escape spin-off would also borrow core ideas from this title. Really cool to see underviewed games like this come to light!
Even now, this game is still one of my favorites.
Nitro, thank you, thank you so much.
I fucking love this game to death and I played it when I was young but I've never beat it. I plan on buying it soon and actually I finishing it. Thank you for covering it, I hope it gets more exposure because this is underrated as hell
tweak you literally cannot finish it
I love how you say"The sheep can hover in the air for a bit" without even questioning it XD
Now I want to know exactly what causes the memory expansion pack to not allow the Evo character model to spawn. Maybe it has something to do with the character model having that "sparky" looking texture effect or something.
I have two n64s and both have official expansion packs. One works completely and the other freezes like the video so I’m not sure if it’s all but it is weird.
@@alanmemoriamusic1176I have a PAL N64 with an official expansion Pak and the game works perfectly on my PAL copy, I wonder if maybe there was a hardware change somewhere which only effects this game. It wouldn’t be the first time, some Mega Drive revisions and SNES revisions had minor impacts on certain games.
If you enter any of those search terms today, this video is the first result. I'd call that a win.
I see that Medabots reference...I'll be expecting a Medabots review on my desk by the 30th of Februrary.
Nah, but in all seriousness, it's cool to find out this game was made by the same people who made Body Harvest. I used to watch my dad play that game all the time, and I always thought the main character was Samus Aran....I was a weird kid.
It always baffles me (in a positive way) how much fun you can feel James is having talking about games on his videos! Just love the channel and the content.
I remember having some weird dejavu when playing master quest on GameCube cause the original version of OOT I played had the original symbols in gerudo valley and then growing up playing the game when I was older I was like... Wait... Huh I swear this was different.
I had this game when I was young... The playstation version.
I just remembered the title some days ago and now I discover it was a N64 port 😥
The worst of all... I remember enjoying the playstation version 😅
Eh, one has bad draw distance and one has bad textures. Both have charm
Body Harvest is so damn good man. I used to spend hours exploring the (at the time, for my kid's imagination) seemingly huge open world with one of the vehicles in the game. Also please consider playing Buck Bumble as well.
Dude there was an interesting game on the original Xbox called "Whacked!" and I think reviewing that would be right up your alley due to the whacky ass graphics and overly LSD induced character designs.
Also the in game commercials.
When I go back to PS2/Xbox games like Metal Arms, I-Ninja, and Malice, that's one I plan on looking at.
Rebel Taxi literally just released a video about that game lol
@@nickatwork Well to be fair Pan's video was more about "failed Xbox mascots" in general rather than one game (though he did focus a bit more on Mad Dash since he has a fondness for it). Also I think Pan and Nitro Rad are mutual admirers, I could swear I've seen Pan comment on Nitro Rad's videos before, and Nitro Rad on Pan's.
No offense, but I personally hated Malice, bleh. :p
They had a weird underworld game over hub though on top of other things, so idk...
I am so happy you talked about this game, I loved it as a kid and always wanted to see you review it. I last played it when I was like 4.
You have no idea how happy I am to see this video! I always felt like I was the only one to even know of this game. Also the beginning animation with the DMA logo dying also crashed with my cartridge, this is the first time I seen it happen to someone else.
Wait... PsOne boxes are different in America? And DS boxes too?! What.
Also, this game is PRIME for an indie game with a similar concept. Why has no one taken this idea and run with it yet? And make it more of a puzzle game, like you mentioned. It could work real well.
American boxes are smaller because EU needs manuals that are printed at least in 4 languages instead of one.
Platformers are just my favorite. Crash, Mario and Sonic are some of the best but I like these obscure ones
The original Spyro trilogy to me are the best games in existence.
Crash and Spyro aren't actually that good imo. Especially not Crash. Don't know anything about Sonic though.

I would absolutely love a remake or a sequel to this game to fix stuff like the camera and unbalanced forces combat
THIS GAME! The moment I saw the thumbnail, my mind was blown. I remember renting this from Blockbuster and bumbling around with it. I remember the first level vividly, but never knew the name of the game. A great childhood mystery has been solved. Crazy to see this so many years later.
Please stay awesome. Your videos are so great, well cut, good audio, etc.

I remember this game! I had rented it from Blockbuster a multitude of times back in the 90's, as I liked the myriad of playable animals and the challenge the game presented.
Ahhh I miss blockbuster, remember renting shadow of the colossus and the first ty the Tasmanian tiger game for the first time 😫😞
Behold, Terminator mixed with the Chao Garden and Invasion of the Body Snatchers!
Which sounds soooooo much creepier than the actual game
Aaron Nicewonger true, the actual game has Earthbound mixed into it!
This is probably the weirdest combination of things ever :D

I really, really loved this game. Also, fun story: I brought this game over to my friend's house during the winter. I dropped it in his snow-covered yard and it disappeared until the Spring. When we finally found it, we popped it in the system and it still worked perfectly. They don't make em that way anymore...
Wow that is pretty cool!
I had this game as a kid, right when it was new. My big brother was about done with high school at the time, and he gave it to me because he didn't care for it. I was briefly obsessed with it, but not very good at it, so I eventually gave up and sold it to a local used game store. I now wish I still had it, if only as a keepsake, but that $5-10 I must have gotten for it was a lot more appealing to me at the time.
This was my favorite game growing up, and finding it as an adult has been impossible
OH CHEESE! That game was my childhood! It was my game on our family N64, but because I was like 5 years old, I neither could read or play the game really well xD
You can find Runecraft if you google "runecraft company". On the french wikipedia is stated that it was founded in 1997 and disappeared in 2003.

Ohhh I thought it was only on the n64 interesting…..
Holy crap! I've had faint memories of this game since I was a child, much like your fox toilet legs thing, all I could ever remember was jumping from animal to animal as a small microchip bug thing and it being utterly confusing.
I never would have recognised the name or even pictures I don't think but this video has just made my day! It's like having a 20 year itch finally get scratched 😂
Man, I remember this game. My mom would rent a video game maybe once every month or so from Blockbuster, and I got lucky with this one. What was normally just a random grab bag of any game that just so happened to be on the shelf, happened to be this gem. I loved it so much I ended up buying it. I had been thinking about it lately and I'm so glad you recently made video about it. Silicon Valley is super underrated and doesn't get nearly enough coverage as one of the "Olde classics from the N64" as it deserves.
Yoooo, new avatar on YT and on Twitter is so... Rad! :D
'Bloke' is another word for 'man,' in British slang.
been waiting for anyone to talk about this game. cause i remember playing it but never knew what the name was or anything. thank you so much for making this
While I'm on the topic of second prints, there were a few on the DS. From what I remember, there's Bubble Bobble Forever, where the 30th boss didn't spawn; Harvest Moon DS, where they forgot to put Buckwheat Flour and the flagcheck for 30 animals killed and so you couldn't marry the two bachelorettes who happened to be immortal; and this one card battle game that I forget the name of, where one of the opponents can't be fought and freezes the game or something.
The main issue for me is the character design. I would never pick up this game just because of the way the characters look. And I don't mean they're bad, they're just... uninteresting, kinda uninspired. The game itself is very creative and inspired, but the character design just lacks too much for me.
Normal dog, normal sheep, I mean, they're robots! The cannon/wheels variations are kinda cool, but still undersold imo
Do wish we’d get more robot characters in media that actually, ya know, look like robots. For this game would say the animal motif works as it adds to the overall strangeness, but yeah it would be cooler to go all the way in general.
@DejaVoodooDoll Though this was because of the mechanics. The swapping mechanic and the relatively complex AI are really tough on the N64's processor. So to get those to work they downgraded the character models as much as they could. It's also why the PS1 version works so poorly. The game was already a real strain on the processor of the N64. For the PS1 who's processor only had a third the power and only had half the RAM to work with the game was just too much for it.
@DejaVoodooDoll From how they looked I figured they weren't full models but had a lot of sprites interlaced. Also none of those ideas you described really would have fitted.
With those stylized ones I have some doubts about it. I mean would it really help if it's abundantly clear it's not what it seems. I mean if you are making it like origami but it's abundantly clear that it's not really that way and moves not anything like how such a piece could move is there really a point?
If you have to suspend your disbelief anyway better go for things that are easier to recognize.
@DejaVoodooDoll I can't argue that. I however don't know if a more stylized approach would have worked. I never liked the ones that pretend to be stylized but where it's obvious that they are just low poly models. They should have just shelved the idea and waited for more powerful hardware. I do think the Dreamcast would have done fine.
@DejaVoodooDoll I didn't say they didn't have their charm. But to me low poly models look like low poly models. I feel it's the best when they kind of run with that idea like they did with Mario.
With that second point I sort of disagree. Because then the focus shifts from what you can do to what you should do.
Super Mario Odyssey 64
Both your anecdote at the beginning and the game itself reminded me of a similar situation I had with one of the first games I ever played, "Fur Fighters" on the Dreamcast. I couldn't remember what the game was for 18 years.
