    It's also worth mentioning, the cylinder must be purged prior to cutting with the angle grinder, if you don't BOOOMMMM. Great video

    Pretty nice idea. Different than the other oil burners I've seen. Looks like it needs a little more air intake to make it more efficient. But it looks like it's off to a good start. Thanks for sharing!

    You have a good start ! I have built many different styles of oil burners and it's a must to have the intake air come from under the fire or from directly above for the kind of design that you are using. Your stove needs more air fuel mixture. It's safe to say it smokes like a freight train... lol. But you are on your way! Good video!

      How would you get more air ? Would you need a blower ? Cheers

    Thanks a lot for your video. Definitely this design of yours is going to be my choice. Of course the gas cylinder has to be fully washed inside before grinding it, as Mr. Graham Elliot advices some comments below. Only, if I may add, I wish I could see a blue flame into the burner rather than a yellow one...... Do you think that blowing air through a duct that ends in the middle of the flame chamber could supply the necessary air to make the flame blue?

    Another fine video young man. Those skin pins are also called "Cleco's" and are very useful indeed.

    Been wondering what I am going to do with all this used oil. I feel as if this may be the ticket! Thanks!

    Have you heard about the used oil furnace from 1950's that ran on water? Patent was issued to army service men in Texas for only adding water line to T fitting for used oil burner on used jeep engine oil, to get 50% increase in efficiency. That was not what was written in their application for Patent. SS coil tubing in brick insulated firepot of oil burner hooked to input common water line. Oil furnace started. Oil line has spring operated check one way valve. Temperature gauge monitored for temp up to 1500 degrees F. Then valve opened so as superheated steam is allowed in T fitting with oil to tiny nozzle. Nice burn flame runs constant. Then oil line shut off. Furnace still runs. Shock wave from 90 lbs pressure to zero AMBIENT in fire-pot forms Hydrogen and Oxygen torch flame that also heats heat exchanger. Normally water molecules separate at about 3000-6000 degrees which is too much energy. The vibration shock wave allows for disassociation at lower temperature. Electric motor with dual shafts ran 2 oil pumps at 90lbs. If water shut off, and cooled down, then furnace has to be restarted on oil. A much smaller unit in crate was shown to a US senator in Washington building underground parking , as an open trunk display. This was somewhat similar to the propane operated camping stove with circular pores, vertical round fire brick insulated chimney, and interior SS tubing of water. When steam introduced to T fitting, the fuel used was shut down leaving burning circular torch flames. It probably used minerals free distilled water so as nozzle would not clog. (US Patent office not allow for over unity for public.- Free Energy is eliminated in issued US Patents. US- 2,863,499.

    What temps are you getting out of that thing? I’m looking to make one that is possibly dual purpose for heating water as well.

    Hoping to make one of these for my shed, brillant video really helped. Do you think the same idea on a bigger gas cylinder would also work?

    • @aeroflopper
      @aeroflopper 2 года назад

      there is no need for a larger tank, needs air injection with the oil feed.

    I have watched nearly all of gerrys videos trying to find the parts list that you have mentioned using in your video, I have not found a detailed parts list? is it possible to get the video title or link to the video that you are referencing to the video that gave you the detailed parts list for the materials you used to build your unit please?

      This burner can’t work properly that’s y there is no pt 2, if you want to make a 1 , copy Gerrys diy , that’s what anker designs did but didn’t copy the important part where the air is drawn into the burning bowl from the chimney draw , so for Mr anchor designs (HOT AIR RISES ) think about it and you’ll be so happy when you’re burner works properly and I know you’ll make another video showing how to make a burner that works properly with no smoke no tears n lotsa heat, I mention Gerry diy coz there’s loadsa info and no misguidance like in this rubbish!
