I am kind of dump. Some kind soul has answered briefly why touch 2 times but I still don't get it. I would have thought that I paid for the ticket and then used the ticket to swipe at the gate to get to the platform and that's it. Why used the Suica card instead to pass 2 gates to swipe or touch 2 times? Can somebody enlighten me further?
Michaelawrence Lee | Because there is a difference in fare between using the Sky Access Line and the regular Keisei Main Line. The First Touch is when you are entering the Sky Access Line, the Second Touch is when you are exiting the Sky Access Line and entering the Keisei Main Line. The process is in reverse if have just arrived at Narita Airport from Tokyo; the First Touch is to exit the Main Line and enter the Sky Access Line, while the Second Touch is to leave the Paid Area of the Keisei Station. The Sky Access Line (used by the Skyliner and Access Express) cost more than the Keisei Main Line (used by the Morning/Evening Liner and regular trains).
Japan BackpackersXpress | Correct. The Morning/Evening Liner used the same trains as the Skyliner, but used the Main Keisei Line, which is longer than the Sky Access Line.
7:50(weekend 7:44)and 8:40(weekend 8:35) on all day. from Narita Airport Sta. ask to Ticket officer. www.keisei.co.jp/keisei/tetudou/skyliner/jp/ae_design/liner.php
Japan BackpackersXpress | Correct. The Sky Access Line and the Main Keisei Line have two different type of fares, with the later cost less then the previous one.
Michaelawrence Lee | [Narita Airport Area]→[Gate]→[Sky Access Line Area] →[Gate]→[Keisei Main Line Area]. The two Touch is because you are only transiting the Sky Access Line Area. This is because the Narita Airport station is also used a hub by the people of the nearby area. They used the Keisei Main Line to go to Narita Airport, then they used the Sky Access Line for a much more speedier travel to Tokyo.

Hi im kinda confused so whats the use of the liner ticket u got? I mean we only tap the IC card but the ticket we didnt tap it?
Yes,we have to buy the liner ticket by the ticket office.
why we have to buy this one? and then you pay over 1000 with Ic card? It's almost 1600 all together not 410, its very confusing very very
the liner fare is just like a higher fare for a faster train
I thought the suica card would do. I had no idea i woukd have to get a ticket with it.
1025 is paid by IC , u have to buy liner ticket also known as 特急券 at ticket office

why touch two times?
Keisei Access Line - One touch
keisei Main Line - Two touch. Even same distance but different fare.
