Great! Would love to see and hear you do a close-up of some of your best parts in The Hellecasters Playing of "Between Twilight & Dawn". That song and your playing of "Lost in Kashmir" were just beautiful! Stay save & well.
@@tobias9510 I put a really hot single in the middle of my 52 reissue so I could lower it and keep it out of the way, but still get those tones I wanted. I left the stock 3 way switch and added a mute/solo/add switch like Steve Morse uses and it added 4 great sounds to the guitar. The pickup stays out of my way and I get to use the 3 way for controlling the stock setup (I freakin HATE 5 way switches) So I run it just like a stock tele if I want to.
Jerry has Seymour Duncans on his own and now this guitar also designated JDD also, mainly because the Wilkinsons are horribly microphonic and transparent ,
Go to Callaham guitar parts and check out their compensated bridges. They intonate perfectly. I think Glendale does something similar as well as others.
I love your style JD...
interesting ideas and greats sounds, thanks,
It does have some of those strat sounds which is interesting with the quack for a tele style guitar.
thank u for noticing...I felt the same thing
The bridge saddles are compensated on this guitar, so you can get perfect intonation.
not as perfect as 6 independent adjustable places. But then it's not a true Tele.
What language is he speaking here 2:15? I saw Fotheringay in 1970 - that's my claim to fame. Absolute knockout!

Jerry has been unable to play for some years now following a stroke.
Will KEEP Jerry in my Prayers!!!!
More aesthetically pleasing than a Steve Morse Frankenstein tele with all the capabilities. Bet it wasn’t manufactured you know where.
Hell for JD would be _no string bends allowed_ . Rather like asking Stephen Fry to make a speech without mentioning Oscar Wilde ....... _silence_
the sunburst one
My 15 year old took my fender thinline so I'm getting one of dees'!!!
I'm buying this
i bought this
I just got one
Do you still like it?
Recon how much one of those Cadillac Guitars are?
Both are his signature models.Different finishes, that's all.
why don't you use it rather than your signature Tele?
Hey Debris
I think it is because he has spent so much time over here in little ol' England, the mother country...
ive just wonder how to transcribed his playing into tab?

I have this book, and it is the most challenging tab I have ever come across, but if you're patient and persistent...
it only has 4 stars because it's that humbling
With great difficulty lol, this guy is one in a million, so so good,.
Mark Wesley Chickenpicking by itself is difficult enough, jerry is one in a million.
what type of thumbpick is he using?
Fred Kelly Bumblebee
Go check out PJD Guitars!
Id buy it.
I can't believe it doesn't have a b bender...
Listen to Albert Lee, and then listen to Jerry Donahue. With all due respect to Albert Lee, I have never come across a youtube Jerry Donahue copycat.
Why is this guitar so inexpensive?
Why not just add a middle pickup if he wants the Strat out-of-phase tone?
zodiacbluesbaby a capasitor is cheaper and it was an accident
Then it'd be called a Stratotele
For a lot of players, the middle pickup gets in the way.
Middle pickup totally gets in the way of my thumb pick and fingers. Plus teles look dumb with a middle pickup.

Jerry I absolutely love your playing but I'd just rather hear you playing on a good old Standard Telecaster when you're at your finest
wig
There is only one artist that has exploited the Telecaster to its max.... David Gilmour naturally!
Too much buzz this guitar in his expert hands...
too bad you can't intonate this guitar.
Really ? You have tried then ?
Too bad you have no idea What you are talking about
